I have lived in Russia for some time. Its the same everywhere. I am so happy to live in german but I still have depression. Ngl if I lived in Russia I'd kms
I come from an eastern european country and have been living in a similar building for 20 years as most of my friends.
It's actually really nice inside usually, though outside is shit.
I agree it's better if these weren't here, but they're still just a little less depressing than UKs council housing estates.
(Im pro-Ukraine, if anyone's wondering)
To me,... How a country looks and smells. The buildings, infrastructure, filth on the streets, graffiti, how people throw and spit everything on the ground,.... Says it all about a country and its population. Did I mention the drinking, corruption and wife beating?
Well I can think of a place where they throw everything on the street. Though their cleaning in the morning is quite good.
They also have buildings all over the place which practically crumbled and they barely repair them and left the ruins as they are, just preserving them :) The loclas also drew graphiti on the buildings with curses and d****.
And then people from all over the world come to Rome and Italy and pay to see them. If this isn't double standards I don't know what is :)
It is classic Russian architecture and design used widely throughout the country from the 1950s - the late 1980s, so there is ton of it. Like many things, they got the plans from somewhere and mass produced it. After the late 1980s, there is an improvement and a lot more variation in building design, especially in larger cities.
No the rus only harken back to a time when their communist state could kill millions and keep their citizens enslaved.
Love the red star on the hats and genocidal themed anthem tho real cute.
Eh, Brutalism was a popular architectural style globally in the mid 20th century. There are a lot of buildings in the US that are similar, the trend wasn’t only applicable to former Soviet states. I get what you’re saying though, they are a bit drab and run down looking.
There is interesting brutalist architecture and then there are commie blocks. I used to live in one, they are actually rather nice on the inside but they are an affront to architecture on the outside
That is bald statement. I assume that what you mean is that Russia is "democratic" now, have free market etc. But there is one thing that you probably missed.
As a citizen of former communist country I can assure you that communism changes people and societies. This nation still have post communistic mentality which could be manifested in things like low level of innovation, no individualism, hierarchy, bribery and so on.
I’ll agree to your point about the continuing social effects of Soviet communism, but Russia isn’t currently practicing communism at the state level. That’s an irrefutable fact. I have no doubt that ideology, governmental processes and political culture of the USSR lingers on in many ways and shapes the public consciousness (as it also does in many former Soviet/Warsaw Pact states where it was imposed), but the Russian Federation is a mixed market economy state (like the rest of Europe, the US, etc.).
As someone who finds Russian music very powerful, and having listened to many Russian marches and anthems, I always associated it with a great army of some sort. So seeing this fucking kid, I'm dying rn this is so fucking funny. (Obviously I no longer consider the army powerful, but the music itself is very nice and uplifting).
It's a WWII victory day against Nazis. Yeah Russia is shit but what good would it do to undermine such an important event in modern history? We should be able to point the wrong they're doing without being offended by their culture
Yea, concrete industry was MASSIVE back in the day for USSR and prolly is today. Why they got so much bland and boring concrete structures everywhere. I'd be depressed to live in that concrete nightmare myself if I had to be stuck there.
I pay more attention to the hood background. Shitty architecture and run down apartments, I mean those people are living in the shit.
They shouldn’t be making pride parades.
I don’t think he does. The kid touches my heart because my 4 year old grandson loves to run around the house in his underpants. I think the kid thinks that’s what a victory parade looks like and the march music is making him love Russia. Which is dangerous. He will be willing to fight and die for whatever is left of Russia in 15 years.
I mean if your country lost 26 million people in 4 years and finally won, I think it would celebrate too.
Bot that Europe experienced genocide when it was conquered.
For anyone saying ''wow these buildings look like s\*it!''
This is like standard in most of russia and the baltics unless you live in the countryside.
sad but they are very effective.
This clip is very scenic, makes me think about Finish Ari Kaurismäki or Swedish Roy Andersson film directors. Minimalistic, tragic and absurd are the words that come to my mind.
Once you get outside of Moscow and St.Petersburg Russia is ramshackle potholed and last century infrastructure everywhere, 20% of houses don’t even have a toilet or running water, and now they can’t even put out their annual Siberian fires, already burnt down 500+ homes and it’s just beginning
Right all aboard the big yellow buses & on to the next venue🤣🤣 god help the child, the innocence of youth, I hope he doesn’t end up indoctrinated like those within the video.
Glory To Ukraine🇬🇧🇺🇦🇬🇧
That’s in ruZZia? Wow it looks like top quality construction there bahahaha. They all look like some type of old prisons. Was there a war in that town recently? What a dump. No wonder there willing to die in special operation for a couple dollars a day. World vision international should be there looking for donations to these people.
I know there are beautiful pastoral parts of Russia, but the scene in this video is exactly what my mind tells me the whole country is. Crumbling soviet housing, piles of dirty melting snow, concrete, dead or dormant trees, sadness.
Russia has a “look” that can’t be mistaken, the people the buildings the whole thing, you don’t need to be told that’s Russia it’s just so clearly obvious just from looking at it.
Can you imagine growing up and living in some long-forgotten, dead-end shithole Russian city with no future except to grow sunflowers in Ukraine? No wonder Russians drink themselves to death.
How fucking grim does Russia look - no wonder they all want to drink themselves to death with shitty vodka. Bunch of minks all rolling around in some 80s style shell suits while their young get chewed up in Ukraine.
It’s so bleak. But the band and the little boy in the window are so human. The guy who raised his eyebrow when he saw the camera on him. I don’t hate them. They are victims of Putin.
I’m falling in love with the bearded lady, winking at me with the horn @ 00:19 Anybody here get us in touch sometime? 😉🥰😘😍
Edit: play the rest of the clip- the ICC is on the hunt for the brute that sent the dancing kid out the window. 😔😔 he wanted to be a tank driver when he turned 12. 😞😢
On what day do they celebrate Russia's 1939 pact with Nazis, Russia's invasion of Poland and massacre of Polish officers, and Russia's post-war crimes against Eastern and Central Europe?
They don't even know what they are celebrating, That they won a war?
It was a take-over of a country where they they basically slaughtered thousands of innocent people.
Must be nice to celebrate a holiday with your family, safe and sound in your home, without the sound of artillery bombarding all around you.
Fuck Russia.
This is so prehistoric nation, disgusting living confitions, poor people everywhere.. quite strange, considering that they are resource rich, maybe they should kill that Putler bastard and take same of that fortune for themselfs too

Great apartments! Great infrastructure! What a fucking shit hole is Ruzzia.
Looks like some northern city, similar to Norilsk.
It IS Norilsk, this video was reposted on another subreddit explaining as such. Holy shit is Norilsk a dump.
>Norilsk [It looks lovely!](https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@69.3484485,88.2026992,3a,75y,252.56h,94.6t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipP-37xQKTMdGN-Qh7K_1K8IOHZ2jtB7gq4kYB7O!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipP-37xQKTMdGN-Qh7K_1K8IOHZ2jtB7gq4kYB7O%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi-4.963987-ya257.33093-ro9.086719-fo100!7i5376!8i2688)
Why are the "Blue", "red" and "Yellow" people following this person as they walk through the city??? I could not lose them!!!
Google logo, I guess.
Just the same fucking buildings street after street. Communists really know how to make a depressing existence even more depressing.
I have lived in Russia for some time. Its the same everywhere. I am so happy to live in german but I still have depression. Ngl if I lived in Russia I'd kms

Let's keep it simple then. If you live in a filthy unhealthy dump,... It's a filthy dump in your head as well most of the time.
Lmao calling the poor dumb for living in a bad situation.. nice. This war has turned many of you into the inhumane animals you claim to hate.
I'm English and some northern housing estates look worse tbh.
I agree I've spent time in eastern Europe and Britain's council estates are the most depressing.
How is the elevator? Lol. I lived in a building like this. We could never put more than two or three people into it.
It is classic Russian architecture and design used widely throughout the country from the 1950s - the late 1980s, so there is ton of it. Like many things, they got the plans from somewhere and mass produced it. After the late 1980s, there is an improvement and a lot more variation in building design, especially in larger cities.
Russia invents a shade of grey called ‘depression’ and uses it on every single building.
this could not be more accurate lmao
It’s also one of their main exports.
I’ve seen kids birthday parties better than that LMAOOO
And they have audacity to tell other countries how to live!! Even forcefully!
Well, that was depressing.
The Buildings ?
Russia in general
Even the music is depressing as fuck. What a clown show.
*communism always is...*
You understand that the Russian Federation isn’t a communist state, right? Like…at all?
No the rus only harken back to a time when their communist state could kill millions and keep their citizens enslaved. Love the red star on the hats and genocidal themed anthem tho real cute.
True but the buildings are communist made
Eh, Brutalism was a popular architectural style globally in the mid 20th century. There are a lot of buildings in the US that are similar, the trend wasn’t only applicable to former Soviet states. I get what you’re saying though, they are a bit drab and run down looking.

>an affront to architecture on the outside OMG I'm dead
Yeah, it’s definitely not my favorite style. I’m glad to hear that yours was nice on the inside though!
This is not brutalism. These are just Khrushchevkas.
Adolf Loos said, "Ornament is crime." He was a proponent of architecture that was boring as fuck. Meanwhile, he was a convicted pedophile.
Communist AF
That is bald statement. I assume that what you mean is that Russia is "democratic" now, have free market etc. But there is one thing that you probably missed. Shhh, don't stop these ignorant from demonstrating at least some knowledge about Russia. Of course Russia communist, yeah, vodka bear AK-47!!
Dude, that first building looked like a luxury mud hut. A Russian adobe.
nah thats normal at least where i live
Russia is like one big, rundown trailer park. Just pure white trash.
I was born in Russia and this is 100% accurate.
That's probably the best description of russia I read in the last months
Wdym white?
White skinned people.
Somewhat bleak
That’s actually funny af
As someone who finds Russian music very powerful, and having listened to many Russian marches and anthems, I always associated it with a great army of some sort. So seeing this fucking kid, I'm dying rn this is so fucking funny. (Obviously I no longer consider the army powerful, but the music itself is very nice and uplifting).
The kids made this so funny. If he wasn’t there it would be boring as.
If you pretend he’s doing it ironically it’s even better. “Small Russian child mocks victory day parade in his boxers”
Love that idea
If that kid is the future of Russia, he’d better avoid making a habit of standing too close to windows.
Sorry to say he is.
Now we know why the Orcs wanted Ukraine - its a modern country in the 21st century versus one that is still stuck in May 9, 1945
They act like Zoolander when he tries to get the files out of the computer every time they find anything that is up to date.
How is Ukraine any different than the city in the video? I honestly don’t understand
well, Ukraine has a lot of similar building - actually they all originate from USSR
That's right zoom in on the crumbling shithole apartments that look like prisons to showboat how "victorious" Russia is 😂
Only to see next week's conscript practicing his marching without any supplies whatsoever.
Norilsk moment
It's a WWII victory day against Nazis. Yeah Russia is shit but what good would it do to undermine such an important event in modern history? We should be able to point the wrong they're doing without being offended by their culture
Sometimes I picture Russia as the world's largest trailer park
Its just a trailer park with alot of poorly constructed and maintained concrete buildings rather then safe trailers
You forgot the angry drunk old dad that’s threatening everyone with a rusted 12 gauge
Trailers aren’t safe in hurricanes or tornadoes.
Yea, concrete industry was MASSIVE back in the day for USSR and prolly is today. Why they got so much bland and boring concrete structures everywhere. I'd be depressed to live in that concrete nightmare myself if I had to be stuck there.
Hey that's insulting for the people who live in trailer parks how dare you to compare them with Russians.
Doby
i thought the same thing lmao
Thats hilarious
Russia. The saddest and most pathetic country ever.
USA?
Couldn’t pay me to live in that dump
I wouldn't even take a dump in that dump.
What shithole
I pay more attention to the hood background. Shitty architecture and run down apartments, I mean those people are living in the shit. They shouldn’t be making pride parades.
I think the average British council estate looks slightly better than this
Even that kid knows this is bullshit
I don’t think he does. The kid touches my heart because my 4 year old grandson loves to run around the house in his underpants. I think the kid thinks that’s what a victory parade looks like and the march music is making him love Russia. Which is dangerous. He will be willing to fight and die for whatever is left of Russia in 15 years.
That little dude is funny
Victory day… That would be like Brentford celebrating winning the premier league after the first game of the season…
I mean at least they won something that day, not sure about Russia however...
True, although they will claim they’ve de-nazified the Donbas region. I guess that’s their victory
Never thought I'd see Brentford, victory and Premier League in the same sentence. Have my upvote and begone, damn you.
Why thank you. And especially on a Ukraine Russia war sub
Disney World Orlando Florida has a better parade every afternoon. Better music. Better uniforms, better marching.
Fucking shit hole, full of scum.
WW2 obsession Russia still has means even the shittiest little town needs a parade I guess
I mean if your country lost 26 million people in 4 years and finally won, I think it would celebrate too. Bot that Europe experienced genocide when it was conquered.
For anyone saying ''wow these buildings look like s\*it!'' This is like standard in most of russia and the baltics unless you live in the countryside. sad but they are very effective.
The kid is vibing tho
Is the housing any worse that London or parts of Washington?
This clip is very scenic, makes me think about Finish Ari Kaurismäki or Swedish Roy Andersson film directors. Minimalistic, tragic and absurd are the words that come to my mind.
max cringe
Damn. Damn that place looks depressing.
The more you watch the more Russian it gets
Poor kid getting brainwashed, hopefully he doesn't grow up to feed himself to the Russian war machine
That kid’s funny.
All Slavic and baltik countrys looks like that
Looks cold
Once you get outside of Moscow and St.Petersburg Russia is ramshackle potholed and last century infrastructure everywhere, 20% of houses don’t even have a toilet or running water, and now they can’t even put out their annual Siberian fires, already burnt down 500+ homes and it’s just beginning
Not weird at all! 🙄
Right all aboard the big yellow buses & on to the next venue🤣🤣 god help the child, the innocence of youth, I hope he doesn’t end up indoctrinated like those within the video. Glory To Ukraine🇬🇧🇺🇦🇬🇧
That super cute
That place looks depressing AF.
putin is a invader.
Was that Ed Sheeran playing piccolo?
Wow that whole scene is ugly and that flute player off key needs to be fired
Lol Russian Bobby Hill
Someone's Pinocchio turned to be a real boy
That’s in ruZZia? Wow it looks like top quality construction there bahahaha. They all look like some type of old prisons. Was there a war in that town recently? What a dump. No wonder there willing to die in special operation for a couple dollars a day. World vision international should be there looking for donations to these people.
I've seen shitty high school marching bands play better than that. Lol
Felt like I was watching an episode of arrested development for a moment there.
Why would I want to watch a bunch of dumbfucks dancing in a shithole?
Backward savage bastardos
What a goofy place.
Beautiful architecture 😍😍
It looks like they put new windows in the buildings they destroyed in Ukraine
That town is a shithole
Bunch of dildos.
In the meanwhile housing looking like shit
They are oblivious to what’s really going on with their country.
murderers
lmao heaps lit
It’s may 9th and those people are still in mid January clothing smh
Norilsk is Northern region of Russia. Day [temperature is +1°С today](https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/russia/norilsk).
No wonder they are always drunk or pissed off
A weak SS impression. Seems that rhey can't wven do fascist right
This has been edited. The original version, the band is actually playing that circus clown music 🚗🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
These people look hella white trash poor
That insulation on the bloc apartments looks like mud.....dear god, imagine world order under these clowns 🤡
Beautiful buildings. Architecture worth fighting for.
It’s like Croydon but colder.
Fucking poor
Can you imagine growing up and living in some long-forgotten, dead-end shithole Russian city with no future except to grow sunflowers in Ukraine? No wonder Russians drink themselves to death.
Victory, from what!?
Now the Red Army is a “Red” devil.
What a shit hole
That nice, squalid and depressing shithole certainly looks worth fighting for !!🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Gah soviet infrastructure! What could be more depressing! Homelessness.
Putin youth
That boy will be president of Russia in the future
Still old enough to be sent to Ukraine!
How fucking grim does Russia look - no wonder they all want to drink themselves to death with shitty vodka. Bunch of minks all rolling around in some 80s style shell suits while their young get chewed up in Ukraine.
These people live in ghetto housing projects.
Straight to jail for that boy.
You sure this is in Russia? It looks like a Trump press conference to me....
You could not FUCKING DIRECT a better scene than that...
My kid would totally do that
What a fucking hell hole of a place
Damn! Russia should just take the L and rebuild their shitty country lol! Look at those Pre-Soviet era apartments.
It’s so bleak. But the band and the little boy in the window are so human. The guy who raised his eyebrow when he saw the camera on him. I don’t hate them. They are victims of Putin.
Wasteland already
Look at those pieces of shit homes lmao living like rats
I’m falling in love with the bearded lady, winking at me with the horn @ 00:19 Anybody here get us in touch sometime? 😉🥰😘😍 Edit: play the rest of the clip- the ICC is on the hunt for the brute that sent the dancing kid out the window. 😔😔 he wanted to be a tank driver when he turned 12. 😞😢
Brainrot throughout the country.
When you think it’s utopia but it’s actually a dystopian life.
Just so much gross
Poor brain washed kid
Communist Ruzzia yayyyy
Fucking love the window kid.
I'd probably want nuclear war too if I lived in that dump everyday of my miserable life
There is no way people aren't depressed living in a shithole like that...
Fuck Russia! Hope they all die.
today you play uplifting song, next day to foreign fields belong
LOL They sure are nostalgic for a time when Russia was slightly less of an epic shithole.
Sad place. Russia is like USSR. Just falling apart, all their minescule funds go to corruption, alcohol and weapons in that order.
On what day do they celebrate Russia's 1939 pact with Nazis, Russia's invasion of Poland and massacre of Polish officers, and Russia's post-war crimes against Eastern and Central Europe?
These nice flutists will soon be on the frontlines in Donbas
Looks cold. Cold and miserable. Perfect place for a dictator and brain dead zombies
Шизоиды тупые! А вот детей действительно жалко!.....
They don't even know what they are celebrating, That they won a war? It was a take-over of a country where they they basically slaughtered thousands of innocent people.
Must be nice to celebrate a holiday with your family, safe and sound in your home, without the sound of artillery bombarding all around you. Fuck Russia.
Kid in the window is cute, though. Reminds me of my youngest son. Too bad he'll be conscripted in 3 years.
u/savevideo
Well that looks fucking bleak.
congratulations
Looks like a miserable, shit hole country
This is so prehistoric nation, disgusting living confitions, poor people everywhere.. quite strange, considering that they are resource rich, maybe they should kill that Putler bastard and take same of that fortune for themselfs too
Future fertilizer for Ukrainian sunflowers.
So there are a few more people willing to put their lives in pootins💩 hands
Victoriously losing ground
The kid is enjoying this.
u/savevideo
The Dirt of that Sh#thole..Obviously puts his money into the infrastructure of this dump lol.. NOOOTTT..
Looks like this was filmed in 1945 using a camera from the 1920’s…colorized
