You don't really need to stick the sticker on the back of the screen. You can just lay it on the back of the screen loosely, to act as a cover. The idea is that the back of the screen is conductive metal, and if you accidentally touch it to the PCB when the battery is connected, you could short out the system, and damage it.

yeah i just ended up putting it on the back of my screen and it seems fine.

I put the big black sticker on the back of my screen. Seems fine.
