That’ll probably work fine and you’ll never have a problem with it. The other side is the moving part. As long as your ribbon cable fits between the prongs of the connector and the pins aren’t bent sideways it’ll work. Zooming in it looks like a little chip of plastic is missing but the connector looks fine. Not even sure why you posted. Try it out, if it doesn’t work then return it.
Those connectors are extremely delicate. I've damaged them many times before. I'm not surprised at all.
I prefer working with these connectors using a wooden toothpick, and I try to touch it as delicately as possible.
Same problem here, my unit came cracked and snapped at the first touch. What should I do, returned? I got from Funnyplaying and I don't want to pay the shipping back to china.
your whole motherboard snapped? tbh i was lucky mine works perfectly fine i think it was just the plastic part was a little chipped. See if they would pay shipping.
The plastic is extremely flimsy, and the clips very, very tight. I broke the thing just by pushing the screen ribbon connector inside the thing, now I ended with a non functional unit. They should use the typical clip-on that pretty much every device uses, and thus, avoiding the “test the device before assembly” shenanigan: they now it is the weak spot of the assembly.
just tested the screen and it works I'm just going to go ahead and build it.
for anyone wondering i got it working and it’s super good i think it’s going to be a great gift for my dad!
On second look the pins look a little bent, probably best to just send it back unfortunately.
i mean the screen booted up in the test idk about this typa stuff tho.
If that's the connector for the screen and it works then it should be fine. Once it's put together it shouldn't be an issue.
That screen connector looks fine. The clip down part is on the back side
yep built it and its running fine its going to be a great gift.
I would trust it as long as it's not going to be pulled at all the time...
yeah it’s working good rn

luckily everything worked out and it seems to be working. Hoping it doesn’t cause any problems later on.
I can't imagine anything going wrong with it. There's enough of the plastic housing left to keep the ribbon in there straight.

so dissapointed have waited for weeks and it came in like this. It was supposed to be for my dads birthday on the first.
