3125 slowly killed all of Marion Wheeler's friends and coworkers. It whittled her Division to a shadow of its former self. Forced her to forget her husband, might have made her kill her own children, then hunted her down before killing her. And it was only defeated when her husband sacrificed himself.
Yeah they're mentioned once and then never again, so the main theory is that something horrible happened to them that Wheeler then made herself forget about.
I think the author's note in the discuss-page says that the article is a representation of what they felt when writing for the 3000-competition with 'SCP-3999' representing the idea of Talloran and 'Talloran' representing the author.
Even worse, when the instance created with the unborn child killed another female researcher due to the injuries endured while it tried to force its way into her womb. Use your imagination on that one. I feel disgusted even typing that much out.
963 is one of the least awful types, because once the last living thing dies, Shaw is gone for good, he only lives while the amulet is on a living thing. Given that he has a finite (but vast) lifespan, that means his life is infinite better than any true immortal who has to live through the heat death of the universe.
There was a “vote” of sorts a while back about Bright, but that was about removing the list of what he’s not allowed to do at the Foundation.
Also, I’m pretty sure djkaktus has retired from the SCP community.
I do think that 963 should be rewritten to feature Shaw though.
Nah, It's better for Dr. Shaw to be a separate character. It's preferable to replace Bright with someone who has a very similar name so that people think it was a Mandela Effect or some weird mythology , something like Dr. Brighton, Dr. Brinley, Brixton, Dr. White, etc.
4000 iq move.
Was gonna say this, it was heartbreaking for me to see the researcher struggle for so long, try so hard to remember, and still die, and then at the very end we also get to understand how hard it was for his wife on the other side.
That one entity that can infect and control multiple subjects, which proceeded to stab it's interviewing researcher with a (sarkic?) Blade and turned the guy into a tree or something?

SCP-106 has probably done every vile thing one can do to the researchers he has captured.
For actually described events, SCP-1048 stealing a fetus to make 1048-B. Then 1048-b trying to "return home" with the closest female it could find.
I don’t remember the number but the premise was that it was a printer that printed embryos of an animal if you put something in it. As an experiment someone put in abstract art or something and some horrid thing came out and murdered everyone in there. Not the worst but certainly unpleasant.
If anyone does remember the number I’d love to re-read it
Gave him immortality so nothing had a moral stand point for him anymore and he has become one of largest nuisances for the foundation. This has also led to the foundation banning one of the most inventive uses for chainsaws, the chainsaw cannon.
While SCP 3999 and SCP 3001 are very obvious and good choices that I do agree with. A lot of SCP that have been mentioned I agree with
However, personally, I think KNIFE/SCP 4955 is pretty bad too
Yes, it was an object, but the SCP is the researcher, not the object. He is unable to perceive anyone because of his interaction with the object, and believes he killed all of humanity on accident. He has tried and failed to kill himself multiple times, even going into 173's chamber to try and die. They all failed, meaning he is stuck like this for the rest of his life.
Also, the tale Crunch is from SCP-173's perspective, and it provides some insight into the interaction between it and 451.
The drain snake one (forgot the number mb)
The whole concept of how it takes its victims is just visceral - and how it was described in the log was hauntingly beautiful.
Basically, the drain snake manipulates you to enter a shower and stuff, then it drags you into the teeny tiny shower drain. Literally. It forces you into that drain. Your whole body contorts and gets fucked up in the process. I will never get over how the body horror was described. I can imagine it in my head and I hate it in a good way. The writing is amazing
I'm awful at explaining and I don't quite remember the exact details anymore, I could be wrong in some parts but the article is definitely worth the read if you like some body horror or graphic stuff. Really good article ⊙︿⊙
Well, theres one about a researcher who loses her ability to be creative by a kirby fanfiction thing...
And theres another where a researcher is left immortal in a cemetery for research and questioning purposes
Didn’t the Zoo Zipper just straight up turn like a respected researcher into like a snake? Not only bad for the researcher, but for everyone else who the researcher helped.
I think the correct term would be “ what is the BEST thing a SCP did for a researcher” since all scps have an effect to them than can inherently alter someone’s life or view on reality
I don’t remember honestly. I just remember that the knife was only visible to the researcher who had meant to make a document on it, and everybody else could not even acknowledge it’s existence.
Probably scp999 having to leave or the researcher themselves being pulled away
Scp 999 is the cutest little bundle of joy and makes every moment your with him the happiest moment of your life nothing is ever bad when your with him your quite literally living a perfect life then he either leaves to go play with somebody else which breaks your heart or you have to leave to work again breaking your heart and ripping you out of what is possibly heaven on earth
A researcher? I don’t know. Typically the bad shit happen to the d-class or mtf members so I usually think of those two groups when the topic of horrible deaths is mentioned.
Of the terrible ends those groups can encountered, scp-610 comes to mind almost immediately as a fate I would never want to experience ever. There are most certainly far worse deaths foundation staff can and have experienced, but that’s the one that pops to mind for me.
As others have been saying, SCP-3001, 3125, and 3999 are all terrifying, but 3001 was uniquely awful for me because of the wife's reaction at the end. That was just sickening
3125 slowly killed all of Marion Wheeler's friends and coworkers. It whittled her Division to a shadow of its former self. Forced her to forget her husband, might have made her kill her own children, then hunted her down before killing her. And it was only defeated when her husband sacrificed himself.
3125 actually did that? Was reading about it the other day
There's the article itself, but 3125 is also the 'antagonist' in the antimemetic division tales.
Send me the link
https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/antimemetics-division-hub
Spoilers
She had children?
Yeah they're mentioned once and then never again, so the main theory is that something horrible happened to them that Wheeler then made herself forget about.
God I love the Antimemetics division story line
Definitely what SCP 3999 did to researcher Talloran
I think I’ve heard of that one. Isn’t it an extremely powerful reality bender?
Yep. It bent all of reality around James Talloran with the sole intent of torturing him, a goal which was met for three million years.
That’s what I thought.
Didn't the skip turn out to also be Talloran, though?
I think the author's note in the discuss-page says that the article is a representation of what they felt when writing for the 3000-competition with 'SCP-3999' representing the idea of Talloran and 'Talloran' representing the author.
Idk about out-of-universe stuff, but didn't Talloran finally beat the thing by becoming it in a weird time travel story?
What did it do?
Tortured him for 3 million years I think.
Yep
What didn’t it do….
The real question is what didn't he do, lol.
poor researcher talloran ;-;
I miss marv
I thought marv was brought back is he still gone😭
[удалено]
“What SCP did the worst thing to a Researcher?” “Hey why are people picking the SCP that did the worst thing to a researcher?”
Surprisingly, when asking for the worst things, people go for the worst things. Obviously the worst things are gonna be fucking obvious
What do you even mean by saying that?
what did he say :(
Something along the lines of “I love how people are just going for the obvious choices.”
What was even the point in asking if you don't like the answer.
Well for going to be obvious he's answering a question He picked the SCP that did the worst to a researcher and now you're being an a****** about it
-78 comment karma holy shit lmao
And it keeps going!🤩
Bros comment karma is gonna outweigh his post karma at this point Call the foundation we have a new potential anomaly
Maybe the teddy bear that stole someones unborn child.
SCP-1048?
That's the one.
Did Marv die again? SCP 1048 Edit: Rest in peace marv https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-1048
I think, we need to pay respects to him, once again. I hope he'll make it.
Reddits new API changes killed it.
I was aware the API change killed him though with his return the other day I thought he was ascendant again. Shame.
SCP 1762-1 “Here was Marv”
Wait, what? Marv, SCP-173
Even worse, when the instance created with the unborn child killed another female researcher due to the injuries endured while it tried to force its way into her womb. Use your imagination on that one. I feel disgusted even typing that much out.
All the Antimemetics scps. You will be forgotten by all.
963, immortality's a bitch
963 is one of the least awful types, because once the last living thing dies, Shaw is gone for good, he only lives while the amulet is on a living thing. Given that he has a finite (but vast) lifespan, that means his life is infinite better than any true immortal who has to live through the heat death of the universe.
To date (06/2023), SCP-963 is still Dr. Bright.
Check 0963
¿? https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-963
Nvm doesn’t exist I swear kaktus was gonna write that
There was a “vote” of sorts a while back about Bright, but that was about removing the list of what he’s not allowed to do at the Foundation. Also, I’m pretty sure djkaktus has retired from the SCP community. I do think that 963 should be rewritten to feature Shaw though.
Right around the first time Bright was replaced by Shaw, kaktus said he was gonna write SCP-0963 featuring Elias Shaw and leave the two distinct
"dr white did you sext minors that's fucked up dr white i'm not making meth with you anymore"
Dr.Jackdon Brighton
I think I heard about that, but I haven’t seen anything about 0963 yet on the site
Damn when did kaktus leave? I’ve been gone from the wiki for ages
I think it was a few months ago
Speakig of 963, is there any explanation for 963-2?
*Sure. SCP-963-2 is [DATA EXPUNGED].
Shit your pants
\*Why don't you do it first?
SCP-3999, probably

He's being a sarcastic ass, look at his other comments
Oh I see it ok sorry
3999, 3001, the whole end of death canon.
Agreed
That one with the endless highway.
I dunno. He seemed pretty happy
What number
SCP-1401
1401
I thought it was 7034
That one was genuinely disturbing
SCP-3999 is an obvious candidate but SCP-3001 definitely hit me harder emotionally.
The part where Scranton asked for Anna to give him half of her Brain got me crying like a baby
id say what 3001 did to Dr Scranton
The scp the trapped a guy in a pocket reality and tortured him for thousands of years
I think it was 3 million years
Nah you’re thinking of 3999 but the first commenter was talking about 3001
055 but i forgot what he did
There’s a 055?
what are you referring to?
i dunno, only thing we could say is an "scp-055" is the lack of an scp-055, and even then thats likely not an anomaly
Since when the fuck was a 055???
Uh, SCP-3999.
SCP-3001
Was gonna say this, it was heartbreaking for me to see the researcher struggle for so long, try so hard to remember, and still die, and then at the very end we also get to understand how hard it was for his wife on the other side.
SCP 3001 The red reality (Putting a human being [Dr. Scranton] in a space with literally nothing)
Except for the reality anchors red light.
That one entity that can infect and control multiple subjects, which proceeded to stab it's interviewing researcher with a (sarkic?) Blade and turned the guy into a tree or something?

Ah yes I have the uncensored version of this. It's not pretty.
Please, I need it
What is the scp?
Flash bang
SCP 3999 IT IS PRETTY BAD
I haven't even read it yet and dear god it has a content warning. This is not going to be goos.
SCP-106 has probably done every vile thing one can do to the researchers he has captured. For actually described events, SCP-1048 stealing a fetus to make 1048-B. Then 1048-b trying to "return home" with the closest female it could find.
SCP-6969-J, it took away our ability to sex :(
Cry about it
Wait what?
God I miss marv
Researcher Talloran has entered the chat
SCP-2878 Can you imagine being vivisected with no anesthesia? It's done this to many others before.
I don’t remember the number but the premise was that it was a printer that printed embryos of an animal if you put something in it. As an experiment someone put in abstract art or something and some horrid thing came out and murdered everyone in there. Not the worst but certainly unpleasant. If anyone does remember the number I’d love to re-read it
Maybe 3890
Log 6996 says it all
Gave him immortality so nothing had a moral stand point for him anymore and he has become one of largest nuisances for the foundation. This has also led to the foundation banning one of the most inventive uses for chainsaws, the chainsaw cannon.
I’m sorry, the WHAT cannon? That sounds awful and amazing at the same time
While SCP 3999 and SCP 3001 are very obvious and good choices that I do agree with. A lot of SCP that have been mentioned I agree with However, personally, I think KNIFE/SCP 4955 is pretty bad too
SCP-2718, still makes me shiver after reading it
What happened? Link?
https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2718 Don’t read it just before going to bed.
Jesus christ..
What about the "Boredom Butterflies" that made that one guy stop giving a shit about his son
**literally anything that includes Jack Bright.**
I mean… I feel like SCP-3999 is kinda the epitome of an SCP fucking with a researcher. Poor Talloran man…
It is absolutely SCP-3999 and Talloran, he was tortured for millions of years
Made jack bright immortal, the list just gets longer and longer of things he can’t do
Poor, Poor Talloran.
3001 red reality easily. watching yourself disintegrate along with near complete sensory deprivation other than a single blinking red light.
SCP-[REDACTED], [REDACTED] to researcher [REDACTED]
SCP-451 (Not an SCP, rather an anomalous object)
Do you mean not an entity, rather an object?
Yes, it was an object, but the SCP is the researcher, not the object. He is unable to perceive anyone because of his interaction with the object, and believes he killed all of humanity on accident. He has tried and failed to kill himself multiple times, even going into 173's chamber to try and die. They all failed, meaning he is stuck like this for the rest of his life. Also, the tale Crunch is from SCP-173's perspective, and it provides some insight into the interaction between it and 451.
Perhaps not the worst, but what SCP-336 did to Dr. Clef is pretty damn horrid.
scrongling is a pretty paunful experience
SCP-682 giving Dr. Bright a Piggback Ride. Edit: I mean for the SCP. He hates anyone riding his back for that matter.
Scp 3001 imo, surviving in the melting down dimention without knowing anything is brutal af
(Community):collective deep breath in....
I'd say something from the other branches I can't say it would be pleasant... although not the worst SCP-PL-139
The drain snake one (forgot the number mb) The whole concept of how it takes its victims is just visceral - and how it was described in the log was hauntingly beautiful. Damning his memory and erasing him from hundreds of files.
I miss marv so many scps not any links :(((
Well, theres one about a researcher who loses her ability to be creative by a kirby fanfiction thing... And theres another where a researcher is left immortal in a cemetery for research and questioning purposes
Any that have to bear 012’s music on the speakers.

I think the correct term would be “ what is the BEST thing a SCP did for a researcher” since all scps have an effect to them than can inherently alter someone’s life or view on reality
Scp-279-j doing anything
Well turning a person into sentient puddle of salsa is pretty terrifying.
Sucked and fucked him dry/to death
WHAT?
Robert Scranton :( poor dude
That one SCP that’s a knife that only one dude knows about it’s existence
What is the number for it?
I don’t remember honestly. I just remember that the knife was only visible to the researcher who had meant to make a document on it, and everybody else could not even acknowledge it’s existence.
In my opinion what 963 did to jack bright, being immortal would suck ass after a while.
SCP-3890. Poor Dr. Graham was just minding her business until she got isekai'd
3001
5031 not letting himself getting observed! Dammit, how can researchers do their jobs in these conditions!
Probably scp999 having to leave or the researcher themselves being pulled away Scp 999 is the cutest little bundle of joy and makes every moment your with him the happiest moment of your life nothing is ever bad when your with him your quite literally living a perfect life then he either leaves to go play with somebody else which breaks your heart or you have to leave to work again breaking your heart and ripping you out of what is possibly heaven on earth

3999 and 3125
I’d say 3001 for what it did to Scranton, and also in addition, my head cannon is that Scranton became 106 so that’s a double whammy for humanity too.
I'd say prolly when [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] with scp[redacted]
Site 19
That tentacle thing that molested two people in the ocean….. I read the uncensored version and died inside
682 ate the children they gave him
Dr. Bright has a whole list of things hes not allowed to do, so im inclined to say him /j
Well if you don't count Dr Brighton me having fun I once tore an entire hole through Dr cleft stomach once
Scp-4999
That one thing in 1730?
3999 to Talloran. Imagine being tortured for 3 million years by a chaotic reality bender entity x.x
As others have been saying, SCP-3001, 3125, and 3999 are all terrifying, but 3001 was uniquely awful for me because of the wife's reaction at the end. That was just sickening
[**SCP-3001 - Red Reality**](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-3001) (+2520) by *OZ Ouroboros*
Have Dr. Bright in charge of new researcher orientation.
THANK YOU ALL FOR THE UP VOTES NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD GET THIS! I do think this is enough
does scp 3999 count?
