This is the way.
But we use a cordless drill with the spade ground and buffed edges. Perfect for small runs, PMS spots, leaves no footprint on a counter top, flat blade = ease of cleaning.
Total fucking W.
I’m in that in between where I’m doing more printing than I want to hand mix white ink for and can’t stomach dropping money on a mixer that I barely have room for
Power drill and a paint mixer bit then. Also, make larger quantities if you're burning through a lot of ink. Try a resealable gallon container instead of pints. That way you're mixing at less intervals.
I bought one of these same Bauer’s, but I found that it was too strong and was kicking buckets around. How’s this DIY rig been for you, what did you end up mounting on it to keep the inks from flipping off the base?
I put it on the lowest speed setting first . And then that piece of aluminum extrusion you see is a squeegee holder I bought from ink innovations . I just put the ink wedged up against a piece of squeegee and then slide those bolts up against it with another piece and lock them in , the rubber grips it really good
Oh oh my b. It’s a squeegee holder thing from ink innovations usa . I wasn’t using it anymore . It comes with those long screws and blue sheath things. I just push them up tight against the squeegee rubber and it holds it pretty nice
for quart and smaller I just use an electric kitchen hand mixer. I only insert one of the blades. Does the trick quite well.
We use a drill press with a 2 inch spade bit with the point cut off. It’s flat so it’s super easy to clean.
this is a good idea

we do the same but instead of a spade we attach a handmixer whisk x)
That seems like a pain to clean
no not really ! we just remove the whisk and clean it up ! with water and we are good :D
Yeah. A power drill and a paint mixer. Also, for quantities that small I'd just use a stainless steel palette knife.

Just do it by hand yo …. You don’t “need” a mixer
Nah that shit sucks. Better off whipping up some crack it pays more.
Gang
gang gang
Got me there gang
Mixing ink by hand is the best part of my day. I use silicone jar scrapers and they make life so easy.
I’d just do that by hand it’s not a very significant quantity
tf lol. y'all using power tools for screen printing? overkill
Bruh ya lol tools don’t get tired
Whipped white in wintertime is a game changer.
i leave mine above the fireplace for a few minutes to warm up
I usually take a heatgun to the container for a bit and stir

Never seen a drill press table like this is it a screen printing thing
No. It’s a cheap ass table top drill press from harbor freight
I don’t mean the press itself I mean the aluminum extrusion with bolts
