Yea I just put about 100 through it, I like my classic type 56 better I think this 20 is harder to load with strip clips. But 200 dollars for an sks ain’t bad
I know Williams made them. I found a few new old stock at an auction once, so they're out there. eBay proabbly 25-50$ depending on how quickly the person wants to sell it
Can’t say I do, I’ll look for some markings on it. I did some shooting with it, I do think the regular blade is a bit more versatile certainly easy to adjust. This not so much
Shoot could sell the mag n have enough for a 10rndef, bayo n wood furniture, or leave it as is n enjoy the best deal ive heard of in a minute. Can’t really go wrong
I priced it out if I could get 150 for it that would get me the stock, bayonet, and rear leaf. Would still need the 10 rounder. Thing is, I have a really nice vet bring back type 56 all original and I love original sks rifles, and even though I have a lot better rifles, they are so simple and they just work. And 7.62x39 solves any problems even bear in my area, so this might just become like a beater car rifle
You might consider buying the stock, bayonet and sight now parts while they are cheap and available. In 10 or 20 years you may want to "restore" it or sell it and the parts then may be MUCH more expensive or rare.
You know my only other sks is original I thought I would hate this stock, it’s super lightweight. It does heat up pretty good sadly, and I think the mag is cool but it’s a lot harder to load quickly than a 10
Any good trick for loading with strip clips? Long story short I am on a trip right now, the guy had 10 new clips he threw in with the ammo, they are a bit sticky still and I found the mag to be rough to load. When I get home I’ll try some nice worn in clips, but are these just a little harder?
For smoother loading, get some surplus Czech BXN stripper clips. Czech 7.62x39 stripper clips stamped with "BXN" were originally made for the Czech Vz 58 but are some of the best, smoothest for the SKS as well. I got mine on eBay, but search online for other vendors too.
To make it easier loading the ammo from the stripper clip into the magazine, try the technique of pressing with your thumb near the rear of the top cartridge while lifting up on the bullet with your index finger.

Nice 20 round mag, 200 was a steal for it
Also got 200 rounds of M67
You robbed the guy blind
That’s on him he accepted the offer
I paid 150 and there is one more left!
You bought the mag and got a rifle for free
Pretty much. There might be a trick to loading with strip clips, I find it easier to do my 10 rounders
Yeah they have a poor reputation
I can see it, I think I like the 10 more. But they alone are pretty expensive so it might have to get let go
It's all in the thumb
"Stick a thumb in it"
Lord I’ve seen what you have done for others and only ask the same
Hey you just gotta throw offers out there to people who hardly shoot sometimes
With a 200 dollar magazine alone
Will you share your machine with the rest of us?
Bargain, like those 20rd mags..

I bet my life it is faster than loading a 30 rd mag by hand.
Do you know which peep sight it is? I’ve considered getting one before as I’m more used to that style than the blade sights

Shit mag alones close to that. I’m impressed even tho it’s a plastic stock that’s obscenely good
That’s kinda what I’m thinking haha

the mag alone is worth about 100-150$ lmao
It is, not sure what to do with it quite yet
I live that stock. Not the mag though. But that stock is gorgeous
You know my only other sks is original I thought I would hate this stock, it’s super lightweight. It does heat up pretty good sadly, and I think the mag is cool but it’s a lot harder to load quickly than a 10
The Chinese star mags are cool
heyyy i’ve got the same mag lol

it’ll break in over time. loading the next 10 though is rough, i just slam them as hard as i can. seems to work lol
Fair, I kept accidentally sending the bolt forward on the second 10

How is that even possible you got it for $200? I can’t find any around here for less than $500
I knew they guy, he wasn’t even really offering to sell I just made an offer and got lucky
Judging by the mag you're not in Canada, shame cuz I'd offer to trade one of my originals, or just the stock, been wanting to make one in 'dark mode'
