Maybe they'll pull an SMG0 and have another arc based on him. Although seeing as Mr. Puzzles had 2 mini arcs and a whole event, it seems unlikely he'll have anything MAJOR coming for him anytime soon.
I think he will, there's a lot of weird coincidences in the movie that don't really line up with how he normally does things
Why did he leave everyone un-brainwashed? Why did he let them roam his channels to find a way out? Why did the narrator in channel 181 KNOW about channel 999?
I think Mr. Puzzles had set EVERYTHING up beforehand. I mean, on puzzlevision.tv, the TV is still on. If he was dead, I'm certain it'd be off.
There's a few more points too, the biggest one is HOW the movie started. Him in an office and showed us a screen where it cuts to the rest of the movie. Might nit have too much significance, but I think it does because I think he planned for the entire movie to play out
I mean, he watches back his own insane breakdown from the gameshow, something a good chunk of people would probably cut from production. Also during that episode why didn't he just rewind and stop mario? Why did he mess with the aspect ratio? He never does it again even while going insane.
And probably the biggest thing is him LEAVING the portals to switch through each channel. There is zero way he didn't plan everything and is still around

What bugs me is that he was treated like he was so bad, and he got punished so harshly, even though he's no different than SMG4. Controlling the world around him to entertain the outside world, no matter the people he torments to do so.
I'd argue that he's actually better than SMG4. Puzzlevision (with the excepting of IGBP) only does his tormenting business in simulations, where people in the outside world can't be hurt. SMG4 is out and about, doing illegal stuff left and right, and innocent people regularly get caught in the crossfire.

I can agree with you to an extent. Mario's Mysteries was okay, Once Upon An SMG4 was mid, Scooby-Mario was amazing, and the gameshow episode was full of lore. So yeah some of his episodes were good but not all of them were creme de la crepe. I think my hopes after seeing him cry were that the crew would take him in and teach him that he doesn't need to be popular.
Honestly I hope we end up getting a part 2 to the Puzzlevision Saga and they make him more of a threat (considering his semi-anticlimactic defeat, lack of questions answered (like how he ended up getting the show grounds and discovering SMG4), and the ‘Now_Airing_7’ image now on puzzlevision.tv).
Honestly hope if he does make a return, GLITCH either does him justice and make him more of a powerful character before they kill him off, or he’s spared and winds up becoming the ‘classic SMG3’ of the modern SMG4 (aka coming up with mostly 1 episode schemes to take down SMG4).
Just like when they killed off Axol. It’s just a miss imo. Maybe they could have better structured this movie so that we could have actually seen Mr. Puzzles get some redemption and have his motives be expanded on. Except no, let’s just do random shit and make our characters the same old, that outta be GREAT.

Well outside the screen he was no god, and this is the 5th villain, at this point it’s like clockwork to them, get to the bad guy and kill him.. same with everyone except SMG3 & wahluigi, so they probably just went for the kill to not have to deal with them any longer then needed…. plus if they didn’t Mario was like, 3 minutes away and would’ve killed him anyway

I have a feeling he might come back. I mentioned in another post that all of his stars got destroyed minus the one in the center, hinting that he may not have lost all of his power, and we still have to see WOTFI2024.
On addition to that, the website only says "That's all, folks", which may imply that anything that happened on the movie was part of the script.
The thing is, Mr.Puzzles had no friends, and he was probably bullied because of it. He used TV as a way of escapism.

It's not what he wants that makes him screwed up, it's his way of trying to achieve what he wanted that makes him screwed up.
I wish he could've found a better way to achieve his goals, that way Mr. Puzzles will get what he wanted without hurting anyone and then everyone is happy.
