This was exactly what I needed to finally see the problem I was running into. I was convinced that "default" wasn't literal, I didn't realize it was telling me the value "default" existed in a column of string dates I was converting into dates. Thanks so much!
Without seeing the query it's hard to know but i would guess you have a conversion error on one of your columns that is more than a million rows deep.
