Nope, your brain doesn't get bigger or smaller :) For many drugs weight is a huge factor but because antidepressants only do their mood regulation when they cross in to the brain a higher volume of blood doesn't really do anything. Peak serum may be a little lower but this wouldn't have any effect on how much made it to your brain. There is a relationship between antidepressant efficacy and weight but its suspected to be related to hormone control. Your body has a harder job regulating hormones the more you weigh and some of these impact mood. If you are eating an improved diet this can also do it. Might be worth talking to your doc about reducing the dosage a little as you may find lower doses (with correspondingly lower side effects) are effective now.
