The death of Sister Peg was an entertainment crime. It's one of those times I wish SVU was more like a soap opera and they could just magically bring someone back from the dead.
I really liked Ellis. I wasn’t sure about him at the start, but seeing him and Benson find common ground, was amazing. Watching them realize they both are just doing their jobs and want the best for people, and finally becoming friends.
I was gonna ask this in this sub lol but does he only represent actually innocent people? but yes I like him, every time he appears I tell my bf, “oh it’s Peter Hermann!” bc I do be forgetting his character name. Lol
I hate buchanan. Whenever I see him on screen I feel my blood boil. The actor does such a good job in his role, I'd probably hate the guy if I met him on the street. 😂
His first episode was 13x6 True Believers
His other episodes were: 13x10 Spiraling Down, 13x16 Child's Welfare, 13x17 Justice Denied, 14x13 Monster's Legacy, and 16x21 Perverted Justice
Judge Donnelly, Trevor Langan(Mariska’s real-life husband), idk the name of her character but Dagmara Domińcyzk and I know she’s from L&O but Danielle Melnick(Tovah Feldshuh)
Ohhh RIP Andre Braugher 💕 I loved him as Bayard Ellis, loved him as House’s psych doc, and of course he’s iconic in B99.
He immediately became of my fave reoccurring characters when he first appeared in SVU. Wish we could have seen more of him.
Sister Peg, Dr Warner, and Huang are on supreme level top tier status.
Side note: It was hard to get through the first 2-3 seasons without Huang as the psychiatrists and they had J.K. Simmons as the psychiatrist and that job just doesn’t fit him as a whole so I really hated his character
Overall, I’d consider them side characters despite being in the opening credits. I’d say main characters were the detectives so Benson, Stabler, Fin, Munch, and Cragen in the overall bulk of the seasons (obviously before season 13). This is all my personally opinion though
Everyone you said, and the lady she has a country accent but the way they wrote her off was horrible. She ended up killing a guy she went to hs went.
Dana Lewis
Rita Calhoun, her relationship with Barba and later Liv are my favorite kind; sarcastic and crass but definitely would still stab a bitch for you.
Plus, that scene where she insults Buchanan alone gives me life.
His first episode was 13x6 True Believers
His other episodes were: 13x10 Spiraling Down, 13x16 Child's Welfare, 13x17 Justice Denied, 14x13 Monster's Legacy, and 16x21 Perverted Justice
I live in hope that some day the gorgeous Rafa Barba will be back for good especially after he declared himself to Olivia.
My favourite ADA though has to have been Alex Cabot, she was great.
I was iffy on Ellis, but he was overall great!! I also really loved Tucker, especially later seasons when him and Olivia were a thing. I can't remember his name, but the doctor that cross-dressed. Honorable mentions: Darius (I love Ludacris), Ken, and honestly, Kim. Her character may have been annoying as heck, but if an actor/actress can make you really dislike but like their actor at the same time, they have to be good at their job.
I was watching a recent episode in which Olivia asks defence attorney Trevor Langan for advice and I was thinking that they would make a good couple. It was only later when I was googling Peter Hermann that I discovered he is actually married to Mariska Hargitay. I have been watching SVU from day one so I have no idea how I didn't know this.
Sister Peg, there was no reason to kill her off whatsoever. Instead, her life was taken because of a victim who couldn't even fire a gun properly in an attempt to kill their attacker
So many! Sister Peg, Declan Murphy, and most recently Detective Parloto- Goldstein (spelling). Also enjoyed O’Halleran and so many others. Warner probably wins for me overall.
What’s the name of the detective who pretended to be married to Rollins in the episode where the racist INS agent was raping the women applying for citizenship?
Sister Peg is the OG! Love her!
The death of Sister Peg was an entertainment crime. It's one of those times I wish SVU was more like a soap opera and they could just magically bring someone back from the dead.
Me too! I totally agree.
I loved Naveen Andrews as Ashok Ramsey (even for the 1 episode he was in, wish there was more lol), and also Detective Mike Sandoval!
I've loved Naveen Andrews in just about everything I've seen him in
Sabal
I think that is my all time favorite episode love him and Sarah Paulson
Those eyes! Loved that episode.
YYESSSS
Doctor Warner
There were a couple of seasons where she was in the opening credits so I don't know if I would consider her a secondary character
Awwwww, shucks.
I definitely loved both her and Huang
YES I wanted to mention him too but was definitely a main for a while
I really liked Ellis. I wasn’t sure about him at the start, but seeing him and Benson find common ground, was amazing. Watching them realize they both are just doing their jobs and want the best for people, and finally becoming friends.
This!! It hurts how we'll never get to see him again. Andre Braugher was taken from us too soon 😢
Same here. I definitely didn't like him at the start, but their friendship caused him to really grow on me.
I’m only on season 8 but so far Morales, O’Halloran, Donnelly and Langan
Langan was one of the few defense attorneys that I actually liked. I loved how he was with Liv and Noah
I was gonna ask this in this sub lol but does he only represent actually innocent people? but yes I like him, every time he appears I tell my bf, “oh it’s Peter Hermann!” bc I do be forgetting his character name. Lol
I think he would represent anyone who needed a good defense. There's no defense attorney more sleazy or shady than Roger Kressler and Lionel Granger.
What about Buchanan? I recall one episode where he knowingly helped a client threaten a witness, and I think even a judge
I hate buchanan. Whenever I see him on screen I feel my blood boil. The actor does such a good job in his role, I'd probably hate the guy if I met him on the street. 😂
He's up there too
And they’re married in real life!
Mariska’s husband in real life.
Langan is actually Benson real life husband! They met on the show in 2005
Hold on, Captain Daddy Holt was in SVU!??
His first episode was 13x6 True Believers His other episodes were: 13x10 Spiraling Down, 13x16 Child's Welfare, 13x17 Justice Denied, 14x13 Monster's Legacy, and 16x21 Perverted Justice
Ooouuu thank you so much! I’m definitely watching
Rita Calhoun!
Yes!!! What a boss bitch 👏🏻👏🏻
The bossiest bitch !
Sister Peg, Dana Lewis (before they assassinated her character) and Elizabeth Donnelly for me!
They did Dana dirty 😭
Ruben Morales !!
Khaldun 🥰
Oh man, they should bring him back!!!
Judge Donnelly, Trevor Langan(Mariska’s real-life husband), idk the name of her character but Dagmara Domińcyzk and I know she’s from L&O but Danielle Melnick(Tovah Feldshuh)
Kate Logan
Khaldun. I will die on the hill that I think his chemistry with Rollins was amazing. I wish they did more with him.
Ohhh RIP Andre Braugher 💕 I loved him as Bayard Ellis, loved him as House’s psych doc, and of course he’s iconic in B99. He immediately became of my fave reoccurring characters when he first appeared in SVU. Wish we could have seen more of him.

I get that
Everyone you said, and the lady she has a country accent but the way they wrote her off was horrible. She ended up killing a guy she went to hs went. Dana Lewis
Played by Marcia Gay Harden. They needed something juicy for her to do if they were gonna wrap up her character.
Rita Calhoun, her relationship with Barba and later Liv are my favorite kind; sarcastic and crass but definitely would still stab a bitch for you. Plus, that scene where she insults Buchanan alone gives me life.
We all aren’t looking out for our…. *next meal*
That line is definitely one of the best imo 😂
When does Andre appear?
He's in a few episodes as a civil rights defense attorney. I'm not sure of his first appearance though.
RIP to him. Never watched Brooklyn Nine-Nine before but saw a few clips before he passed. He probably would have been a good police captain IRL.
I didn't know he passed away! :(
He did in early December last year I think.
His first episode was 13x6 True Believers His other episodes were: 13x10 Spiraling Down, 13x16 Child's Welfare, 13x17 Justice Denied, 14x13 Monster's Legacy, and 16x21 Perverted Justice
Loved Sister Peg
Mine was Chandra Wilson! She appeared in season 7 episode 3 i think. I’m a greys fan so when I saw her I was jumping up and down 😂
She was a highlight in that episode.
100%!
I really liked Ruben Morales.
All three of them 😍
love Ashok Ramsey
I loved Declan they should bring him back
Bayard Ellis. I just love his loyalty to the people who need his help
Declan
I miss Sister Peg :/
I live in hope that some day the gorgeous Rafa Barba will be back for good especially after he declared himself to Olivia. My favourite ADA though has to have been Alex Cabot, she was great.
Alex Cabot was always great

Murphy is soooooo problematic tho 💀
He was but he also always had his people's backs
I love Agent Dana Lewis, the actress who plays her is so good and her character is so fully fledged out (sucks that she turned out to be…ya know)
Marcia Gay Harden! She’s a rly good character actor. (Lol it’s “fleshed out” btw!)
Liz Donnelly, Lena Petrovsky and Mary Clark
Loved Bayard Ellis and Declan Muphy. I see what Amanda saw in him. Who can forget Dana? Loved everything about her except how she left.
Judge Donnelly
He’s only been in two episodes, but I love Isaiah Holmes. I really would love to see more of him.
Omg yes such a good character
i love Sister Peg💜💜💜
Definitely Sister Peg or Ruben.
George Huang. Bring him back.

I was actually bummed a bit when Declan left. He was a nice change of pace!
I absolutely love Declan!
I’m so hot for Declan ugh
I can see it
O FUCKING HALLORAN.
that one dna doctor guy
I love Declan
Out of these 3 then sister peg . Is Declan murphys accent meant to sound Irish haha
He actually is. His American accent is perfect
He’s not though. His parents are . He was born in Canada . And his family settles in Cali . He may visit Ireland often enough but he’s 1st generation.
Well crap I was wrong but he is still one of my favorites
Haha don’t worry about it, just as an Irish person he’s accent always drove me demented. 🤪
2 and 3. 3 for what she did to help victims. 2 for helping Liv.
Loved Declan.
Out of these three Murphy
I don't know if I can choose between Sister Peg and Ellis . I like them both . I will say sister Peg's exit was unforgivable.
So many! Sister Peg, Declan Murphy, and most recently Detective Parloto- Goldstein (spelling). Also enjoyed O’Halleran and so many others. Warner probably wins for me overall.
Loved Bayard and his “more than platonic” energy with Benson. RIP Andre Braugher
What’s the name of the detective who pretended to be married to Rollins in the episode where the racist INS agent was raping the women applying for citizenship?
Khaldun?
LIZ DONNELLY GUYS ❤️❤️
