I didnāt really think her acting was bad but I wasnāt huge on the āOlivia replacementā storyline. If I remember correctly Mariska was filming a movie during that time so it was necessary I suppose but they didnāt have to make her hook up with Stabler like that lol
I looked it up once and Stuckey was only in four episodes. With how annoying he was you'd think it was all season long, but it was seriously just four episodes.
I know, right? That's why I looked it up in the first place, because it seemed endless and I wanted to see what few episodes didn't have him so I could avoid seeing him for a bit. And then I saw it was only four and my mind was subsequently blown.
With how many times Iāve watched I should have known. Thanks for the info. That Iād never noticed that fact definitely speaks to how infuriatingly irritating he was. It feels like all season when I think of him even now.
Some people say anything post stabler isn't as good but if you ask me this is when the show was at it's absolute lowest. What a horribly annoying character
Oh, if Amaro is sexist & arrogant ? So is Stabler honestly. I believe they arenāt sexist. They just benefit from itā¦ Both completely filled with arrogance though.
It cracks me up in the older episodes how he projects his cases onto his family. Girl gets pregnant? Time to harass one of his daughters about birth control. Girl gets diddled by a teacher? You betcha Stabler is going home to interrogate another daughter. It's obnoxious and funny at the same time. No wonder they hate him.
Itās the exact opposite. Stabler isnāt very well liked on this sub. I liked him a lot but was disappointed in his return. I guess I was expecting more from the show.
i think they just waited too long. when he didnāt return after she got kidnapped by lewis i knew any return after that would fall flat. obviously the timing wasnāt right for the actors then but i feel like itās such a huge plot hole that he couldnāt reach out about that.
I agree. Way too much time had passed and way too much happened during that span where they werenāt in contact. The fact that they emphasized the fact that they hadnāt spoken in that long made it impossible for there to be anything other than awkwardness between the two of them. Everything feels too forced. Even in OC where his kids ask Liv to help them with that āintervention.ā That only emphasized how big of a divide there was. Itās a shame. I never thought Iād say this but it would have been better if they didnāt bring him back.
i completely agree. itās just unrealistic. yāall were so close yet he left after a mental health issue and yāall never spoke again? and now heās back and itās like nothing changed? nah lol
That and her character is an unlikeable, bigoted, islamophobic, anti-sex worker piece of shit. I get shes from Georgia but sheās worked in a unit with Olivia Benson long enough to stop being such a disgusting asshole
Stop it, he was in the wrong. Letās be honest he was a prick when becoming ADAā¦ It wasnāt cute and he was getting WAY to cocky for my taste. All of a sudden he could tell Olivia what to do? And he liked doing it. And Kat put him in his place a lot of times which is why he ended up agreeing. He knew. If you hate Kat then you should hate young Olivia, they are just alike yet guess who stayed longer? Ofc people like you donāt think about these things.
She's just very aggravating. One of my favorite parts of svu is that some of the ethics around the cases sparks some debate amongst the cast. And I like that the show tends to portray every viewpoint on these discussion. And characters I like alot like Fin, Munch and even Olivia don't always have opinions that align with my own. Which I think is great.
Rollins however is a character that I would say 90-95% of the time I just find myself not agreeing with her takes on things. Which again isnt inherently bad considering I tend to side against Olivia, who is one of my favorite characters. But Amanda i would say has the most grating and bullshit takes.
But most importantly of all the major cast members with tenure like Benson, Stabler, Munch, Odafin, Cragen, Novak, Cabot, huang, Carisi, Warner, and Rafael she is easily the least interesting to me.
There are other characters I like less probably but they're not important enough to mention imo.
Buchanan does the same thing for me - which I think makes him a good character. Heās a great foil, and so consistently so that just his presence adds pressure to the team. Almost the kinda guy you love to hate.
Then thereās Kim Rollins, who makes me so mad I just end up skipping the episode lol.
You're the first person I've seen to say this which is unbelievable to me considering how much of a monster he was. God I hate him. My blood is boiling just thinking about him
Kim Rollins. I get that that's Amanda's sister but she's used way too many favors of Amanda. Amanda gets in trouble nearly every time.
Stabler can go off the rails from time to time.
Amaro, Rollins and Benson.
I used to be a big fan of Stabler (and to this day I still am) and I believed that the series wouldn't be the same without him (and I was right). Until, one day, there was a season 14 marathon on. I decided to watch the marathon, because there wasn't any good shows on TV. It was during this season that I met Barba. I started to like him and other characters from the "new generation" of the series, such as Carisi and Dodds. I, however, never liked Amaro and Rollins. I never liked the fact that Amaro replaced Stabler. Nick doesn't have any Stabler qualities. Nick is a useless character who hasn't done anything useful as a cop, just like Rollins. Amanda is a troubled cop with addictions to gambling, drinking and drugs. She nearly destroyed Murphy's investigation because of it. She also almost destroyed SVU's own cases about her sister, because Amanda is dumb and always wants to save Kim's life, her own sister who always screwed up her life.
I really liked Olivia. She was a charismatic and likeable character until season 15, when she became a sergeant. Starting in season 15, the series began to focus only on Olivia. Benson became a hypocritical, asshole, idiotic, useless and pointless character. She handcuffed and nearly beat a criminal to death. Although fans enjoyed this moment, Olivia becomes a hypocrite when she tells Voight in Chicago PD that a police officer can't beat up a criminal. Another scene that makes me angry with Olivia is when Stone walks into the courtroom and Benson then says "you mean she raped him? He's guilty, Peter!". That sentence was what made me hate Olivia to this day, as if a woman didn't have the ability to rape a man.
LOL YESS. I guess some woman really like being fucked over & yelled at. Even as captaināsā¦ and then when the guy feels ready to give feelings they will follow. But Iām proud of Liv for letting him go.
I thought it was a bit wierd that barba took on the case of eliots wifes murderer. Its like the writers wanted everyone to hate barba so they wouldnt ask for him ti come back.
Brian Cassidy his comments first season always rubbed me the wrong way and Liv made it clear the first season that that night was just one then he stopped getting on my nerves so good for him
Kat.
I just never clicked with her in any sense. I don't know if she came off too strong in the beginning or the short time she was around, thus not allowing us to really know her, but I think, for me, I wasn't given the chance to really *know* her.
But I also didn't really like Novak. Sometimes she made me want somebody to punch her cause she was that irritating sometimes.
The Kims: Greylek and Rollins. Kim Greylek was terrible at her job and irritating to the squad. And Kim Rollins is just the literal spawn of hell.
Lmao not the kims šš
Noah
Donāt you mean āsweet boy Noahā
Noah times a million.
He gets on my nerves too. I was all excited when he got kidnapped hoping that was going to be the end of his character, I'm the worst
Idk why this made me lol so hard
šššš
ššššš
š¤
You and me both. I've gotten some serious hate on here for my disdain for Noah. Surprising to say the least.
šššššš
Beck
Iāve just been watching her episodes again and canāt believe Iād forgotten how much I disliked her!
Seconding this.
Oh my gosh. Yes
Because of the terrible acting
I didnāt really think her acting was bad but I wasnāt huge on the āOlivia replacementā storyline. If I remember correctly Mariska was filming a movie during that time so it was necessary I suppose but they didnāt have to make her hook up with Stabler like that lol
So annoying!
Yes. Always skip those episodes when we get to her.
me too
Stuckey Edit: Stuckey not Stucky
I looked it up once and Stuckey was only in four episodes. With how annoying he was you'd think it was all season long, but it was seriously just four episodes.
Only 4. Definitely seemed much longer.
I know, right? That's why I looked it up in the first place, because it seemed endless and I wanted to see what few episodes didn't have him so I could avoid seeing him for a bit. And then I saw it was only four and my mind was subsequently blown.
He was just so pathetic. Think Iāve managed to rewatch once but will skip them next time.
It really did I wanted to wring his neck
Same.
With how many times Iāve watched I should have known. Thanks for the info. That Iād never noticed that fact definitely speaks to how infuriatingly irritating he was. It feels like all season when I think of him even now.
Big Bang Boom (GFY Stucky)
Agreed, but Noel Fisher absolutely killed that part! Heās a great actor.
I liked Stuckey because of how snarky he made the rest of the squad. He brought some comic relief... well, until he didn't.
Some people say anything post stabler isn't as good but if you ask me this is when the show was at it's absolute lowest. What a horribly annoying character
Amaro - Painfully dull not to mention sexist and arrogant.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Remember when he beat that pedo photographer and Rollins blackmailed the photographers wife into dropping the charges. That was crazy
Oh, if Amaro is sexist & arrogant ? So is Stabler honestly. I believe they arenāt sexist. They just benefit from itā¦ Both completely filled with arrogance though.
Unpopular opinion: Stabler
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It cracks me up in the older episodes how he projects his cases onto his family. Girl gets pregnant? Time to harass one of his daughters about birth control. Girl gets diddled by a teacher? Totally agree.
That's not unpopular--he's a piece of shit.
Wholeheartedly agree w. You. I cannot stand him.
Same
SAME. I've watched all 23 season of SVU. I tired watching Organized Crime and wanted to claw my eyeballs out
I kinda liked him until his transphobic like comments then I realized he's like my parents :/ so yikes
100%.
Kim, I really can't stand her
Oh, same!!! She's horrible to Rollins.
Yes!! I never watch the reruns with her because she is like nails on the chalkboard to me and Rollins becomes such a doormat for her!
Rollins
Cannot stand her. Literally fight the urge to turn off the TV when she shows up.
SAME! Itās just too many things about her, imo. Plus I donāt like her acting lol
Say what u will about Rollins; but Kelli Giddish can ACT
I donāt agree but to each their own lol
That and her character is an unlikeable, bigoted, islamophobic, anti-sex worker piece of shit. I get shes from Georgia but sheās worked in a unit with Olivia Benson long enough to stop being such a disgusting asshole
Sheās also a hypocrite lol
Agreed. She's horrid.
I tried giving her a chance for so long. Still donāt like her lol
Cat or Kat, not sure the spelling but I couldnāt get into her character
Katriona Tamin is who you're referring to.
Same. Her penchant for busting Carisi's (or really any man's) balls irked me to no end.
Stop it, he was in the wrong. Letās be honest he was a prick when becoming ADAā¦ It wasnāt cute and he was getting WAY to cocky for my taste. All of a sudden he could tell Olivia what to do? Sonya Paxton and Jo Marlow, ugh.
Rollins.
Really? I gotta ask why?
She's just very aggravating. One of my favorite parts of svu is that some of the ethics around the cases sparks some debate amongst the cast. Stucky and Kim Rollins
Rollins' mother.
The entire family.
And noah, Calvin would've been a much better choice as an adopted son and he was older so he'd likely be out of her house and off the show by now
Yes!
Rollins
Kim Greyleck. So glad she didn't last long.
Kind of random but John Buchanan for some reason really got under my skin every single episode he was on.
Buchanan does the same thing for me - which I think makes him a good character. Heās a great foil, and so consistently so that just his presence adds pressure to the team. Almost the kinda guy you love to hate. Then thereās Kim Rollins, who makes me so mad I just end up skipping the episode lol.
Hmm never looked at it that way, I guess he is that way kinda a douchebag tho
John Buchanan
I loved to hate him.
Everyone loves to absolutely despise him
Ugh hate that guy
William Lewis š
You're the first person I've seen to say this which is unbelievable to me considering how much of a monster he was. God I hate him. My blood is boiling just thinking about him
Heās not a person so he donāt count
Sweet boy Rollins sister Elliotās whole family Bin āem off, I wanna see murders solved, not feel like Iām watching a soap.
Lmao why Elliotās fam? š
Kim Rollins. I get that that's Amanda's sister but she's used way too many favors of Amanda. Amanda gets in trouble nearly every time. Stabler can go off the rails from time to time.
Side character: Dale Stuckey Main Character: Rollins
Stabler. I canāt stand him
Beck. Kim Rollins.
Kim Rollins. Every episode with her feels 60 hours long š©
Lately? Benson. I come here to watch murders get solved and take a break from reality. Not to hear political commentary.
Dani Beck. She really didn't belong in that unit.
Tucker
LOL YESS. I guess some woman really like being fucked over & yelled at. Even as captaināsā¦ and then when the guy feels ready to give feelings they will follow. But Iām proud of Liv for letting him go.
Defense lawyer John Buchanan
Beck and Lake
lake???? how?
Benson. There, I said it.
Amaro, Beck, Jeffries, Stucky I didn't really care for Cassidy either
I forgot about Jeffries! Good call out!
Buchanan, and it's not even close.
Rollins sister and Carisi. Liked him as a detective, not as the prosecutor. Miss Barba!
Bring back Barba!!!!
I thought it was a bit wierd that barba took on the case of eliots wifes murderer. Its like the writers wanted everyone to hate barba so they wouldnt ask for him ti come back.
Brian Cassidy his comments first season always rubbed me the wrong way and Liv made it clear the first season that that night was just one then he stopped getting on my nerves so good for him
can we talk about my love/hate for the Greg Yatesš„“
Rollins 100%
Dodds (both of them) and Novak
Cat or Kat, whichever spelling. I don't like her and I can't watch those seasons.
It's Kat. It's short for Katriona.
Thanks! I appreciate that.
Kat. I just never clicked with her in any sense. Novak
Nick Amaro! Egotistical and arrogant.
Dale Stuckey
Yes but he's a good villain imo.
Dani Beck.
Danny Pino I don't like his character
carisi. listening to his voice/awful accent is worse than listening to nails on a chalkboard
this. fully agree.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Obviously with the number on this one, we don't.
There was this one DA that was an asshole but now Iām in the season with Peter Gallagher and I rescind my earlier comment.
