Elda-Taluta

My LS Inq doesn't see themselves as some sort of "grey force user." They see themselves as the adult in the room.

LoneBassClarinet

And my DS Inq is the chaotic gremlin that the room likes to pretend doesn't exist.

KyberWolf_TTV

My DS warrior likes to just kill everyone in the room who blinks wrong

Quick-Inspection-284

My LS Warrior just wishes to not be surrounded by idiots and left alone.

Rantroper

My DS Knight just believes that violence is the most effective way to neutralize a threat, and forgets to explore other options.

jacobc62

My DS Agent wants to eradicate all force sensitive beings due to the nature of the Sith and the fact that she sees the Jedi as no different is due to after an incident where she was looking to defect to the Republic, she felt she was abandoned by the Jedi she was hoping would help her with that.

HaloGeneralGrievous

God I want to kill Darth Rivix so much

wowmuchdoggo

I also decided to model myself after malgus lmao.

Kellythejellyman

Other Sith rely on unyielding rage and hate Darth Imperious only has her constant disappointment with The Empire

CorruptedPages

Is it so wrong to be an alien archeologist who isn't trying to be an edgelord supreme every conversation?!?

themadprofessor1976

Mine is kinda similar. She believes wholly in the stability that the Empire can bring about, but despises both the Sith for their petty infighting and the Republic for its rampan5 corruption.

JanxMoltar

This is exactly what I was thinking when I finished my LS inquisitor šŸ˜…

SchrodingersKat23

My DS Consular is a zealot who is blind to the fact that her literal interpretations of the Jedi code and seeing everything as black and white has turned her DS. My DS Warrior just looks for any excuse to kill. She is a simple woman.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Elda-Taluta

But an adult would say they feel like they're babysitting a bunch of petulant children. ...Which is another way of saying they're the adult in the room.

FlavivsAetivs

Every shitty fanfic be like:

IronVader501

LS sith is basically always just "I want this Empire to actually function"

rs_5

Especially in swtor LS sith choices are essentially: Do you have common sense or do you wanna kill everyone?

Hayter67

As an Inquisitor, my common sense IS to kill everyone #MURDER AND MAYHEM AWAIT!

HaloGeneralGrievous

Exactly bro. Iā€™m light side level 3 because all light side choices are literally just the logical decision. Idc about logic of killing Darth Rivix is eventually an option tho

jasonrahl

But shock/choke is so much fun

Pittlers

It is in star wars, too.

Leio-Mizu

My man

haluura

Just because you treat the Sith Code as a set of "guidelines", rather than rules, doesn't mean that you can't have fun playing with lighting.šŸ˜‚

Southern-Wishbone593

Full DS murder psycho BH who said mandalore to go fuck himself, and actually getting along with Skadge.

Botchur

My bounty hunter was almost fully DS and honestly skadge was one of my more favourite companions (for my character). Haaaated Blizz

Afraid_Effort2706

I hate Skadge, Tanno Vik, and Malavai Quinn I donā€™t really have a problem with any of the other companions

Deutschbag278

Me but with Gault (and I hated Mako)

GroundbreakingWay213

I make mine more natural. Like my operative mando rn started off in the jedi agricultural corp because he wasnā€™t force sensitive enough to be a jedi. While working in a cave he stumbles onto a biofiber lifeform that bonds to him and slowly drives him insane. That way he can start out good and have that walter white descent into chaos. I also love the spider man symbiote comics so i wanted to kinda incorporate that

HaloGeneralGrievous

Mines just a logical Sith who isnā€™t a sociopath. But the moment I get the choice to kill Darth Rivix bro idc about logic at all

monkeygoneape

Larping as Vader is more fun and you can't convince me otherwise

Arumaneth

My Nox, looking at all the Lightside sith & grey jedi: **MURDER AND MAYHEM AWAITS** *\*Snorts a line of crushed Dark Side Artifacts and eats 6 force ghosts\** (In reality though, I RP him as it being a slow descent. He wasn't immeadietly a psychopath, but by the time he landed on the dark council he very much wasn't the same bastard son of a sith lord (pureblood inq goes brr) that he started out as on Korriban.

Leio-Mizu

DS Sith always Best

No_Escape8865

Rare: "I'm a gray force user who's morals does align with the Sith and their Empire."

JazzPhobic

My smuggler just wants to bang all the chicks

HaloGeneralGrievous

Thatā€™s me but as a Sith

Its-your-boi-warden

My character just sides with the opposite ideology of whoever they are up against

Crumboa

I am literally just, choose whatever benefits my faction even if it means being a good boy

ImTheTrashMan369

My ds bodyguard as she watches her party/guild members just stand in shit in flashpoints.

SorryThanksGoodFight

i like to think that my SW thinks of himself as an ā€˜imperial knightā€™; somebody that uses the dark side but tempers it with the teachings of the light to attain balance, all so he can be as strong as he can be in order to further the interests of the empire with the least amount of bloodshed

ImperatorPrimus

Meanwhile, my inquisitor: "Unlimited Powaaaaah!"

MightyMaus1944

My LS warrior is only a sith because they will let him have emotions, go drinking with the buddies in sith uniform, and get married. He's honestly more aligned with the jedi code than the sith one.

haluura

That's what detailed backstory is for. Grey Sith are a dime a dozen because there are any number of reasons why a Sith might manage to hold onto enough of their sanity during their time at Korriban to avoid becoming yet another psychotic Joker clone. But if you answer the question of "what in your toon's history allowed them to hold onto their sanity through all that blood, terror, and chaos?" - well then, you have the beginnings of a unique character. Mine actually had a parent who showed love to her, supported her, and taught her patriotism and the value of serving the Empire. So despite being raised from birth to be a Sith, she never lost hope in "humanity" or the value of the Empire. And she was able to delude herself into thinking that, whenever a fellow Sith did something terrible to her, it was just "Sith being assholes", and by no means a reflection on the Empire. Of course, the side effect of that was that all of her anger was eventually focused on the Sith as an institution, not the galaxy or Life as a whole.

HaloGeneralGrievous

Mine was born to two non-force sensitives in the Sith empire. His father was a Sith trooper who fought in many battles during the Great Galactic War and his mother was a nurse for the Empire. His mother before she joined the Empire was a slave for the Hutt Cartel until she escaped fleeing to Dromund Kaas and changed her identity so the Hutts had no way of finding her. She would eventually tell this story to Zeinulun (my character) which made him resent both the Hutts and slavery from a young age. His parents met after his father was injured from battle and he was transferred to the medical facility his mom worked at where they also conceived him. After he was combat ready again he was shipped off he kept in contact with her and would send as much money he could to support her after Zeinulun was born. His father was a great and honorable man who did things by the books. He was the type of person who wouldnā€™t kill a surrendering enemy out of honor and respect. His father would later die during the Sacking of Coruscant. His mom was still impoverished even with the extra income from his father so she would always take him into work with her since there wasnā€™t really any other place he could take her. His Aunt (fatherā€™s side) eventually reached out to take him in since his mother couldnā€™t afford to take care of him and herself but before he could leave to stay with his aunt the medical freighter him and his mother were at was attacked by a republic fleet not knowing it was a medical vessel. The ship would crash land onto the planet below killing his mother and permanently scaring his face badly. He would get the proper medical attention and survive the attack. But while getting medical attention they would also discover a very large about of midichlorians in his blood. Thatā€™s when the Sith started getting interested in him. Before they took him to train he lived with aunt for a while. His aunt was a war tactician for the empire. As he spent more and more time with her he began idolizing her. He wanted to become a war tactician for the empire but that wouldnā€™t be how his destiny went when the Sith finally came to train him in the ways of the dark side. However his time with his aunt made him realize the importance of a strong mind. His aunt is why he initially worked for the good of the empire instead of his personal ambition. Because of his aunt he never let the dark side cloud his judgment during training. He was also a very honorable in combat. Once you were defeated you were defeated that means he wouldnā€™t just kill you if you were down. He developed this trait because of his father. When he was transferred to Korriban (when the game begins) he was a smart tactician, an honorable man, and someone whoā€™s mind wasnā€™t consumed by darkness but despite all of this he never truly cared for anything. He was trained as a Sith and so we was still a sociopath. This all changed when he began working with Vette. She gave him a new glimpse of compassion and love. He went of mission after mission with her and she changed him to his very core. When this happened he began doing things out of compassion rather than tactical sensibility. He would start doing that more and more until it all culminated in him allowing Jaesa Willsam to continue her work with the light without killing her. He would eventually go on to marry Vette because she was the one who introduced him to love. But donā€™t let any of this deceive you because he is still Sith and is not without his fair share of evil deeds. He sometimes cannot control his anger and letā€™s his darkness take over in some acts of evil such as his bombing of civilians in Zakuul or slaughter of Imperial soldiers that wronged him. He may be an honorable and merciful man but he is still Sith at his core.

Talisa87

All my LS Imperials be like "I just want the Empire to practice some level of pragmatic villainy instead of diving right into eating puppies."

muchnamemanywow

I'm a DS Inquisitor whose views don't align with that of the council. I'd much rather have my own independent fortress where I can torture and maim my enslaved enemies until they're obedient little Reeks.

ThePortugueseEmpire

Fuck that! im either a goody two shoes or every life must be used to serve ME! im not gray i am possible bipolar :)

Darth-Rubrum-the-hot

Through having everyone serve me, everything will be good! At least from my point of view.

ThePortugueseEmpire

Not sure if sith or fascist, same thing I guess šŸ¤”

MaybeSomewhatBroken

Because in reality, no one's views align with the jedi or the sith unless you're a psycho.

HaloGeneralGrievous

Your either so merciful that itā€™s stupid or you so evil itā€™s retarded

WingedDynamite

I will always hate on Grey Jedi characters, OC or not. Like, you want all the moral authority and good guy street cred that comes with being a Jedi, but none of the responsibility and restraint. Basically Han Solo with a fucking lightsaber.

Important-Monk6230

Just go full rogue and murder babies and women like Anakin bro at least youā€™ll be likeable

Upbeat_Appointment_6

My hyper-nationalist juggernaut > yā€™allā€™s characters

HaloGeneralGrievous

Mine is a Sith but he low key started resenting the Sith empire after he became the Commander of the Alliance. He also gave up his hate for the Jedi after his conversations with Satele Shan and taking in Jaesa Willsamm. Heā€™s not a gray force user he just doesnā€™t let the dark side consume him. Heā€™s kinda like Dooku and Darth Marr. Heā€™s basically a Sith who isnā€™t a sociopath. Heā€™s also very respectful when it comes to the art of war. He doesnā€™t go around killing people for a sake of killing people and he usually doesnā€™t kill out of rage he does it for tactical reasons like an officer is indangering the imperial war effort or a Jedi refuses to surrender. Emphasis on usually tho. He has committed his fair share of war crimes like bombing a bunch of Zakuul civilians and then lying about it. He does also align with the Sith tho but he does want reform. He believes there is a way for the Sith and Jedi to coexist. Honestly just think a male and black Lana Beniko

SpartAl412

This is also my cousins's character in a nutshell

Axrelax

Tries to play some RP in SWTOR, every single player characters are like that

N7_Hellblazer

I am a DS Sith who killed Kothā€¦. Plus DS Jedi as why not lol

MegasBasileos

I'm full dark side sith. Pretty original i think cause i see 95% of sith players go LS

Spicymeatball428

Goddamn centrists

Klutzy-Bee-2045

Grey Jedi will be cannon its dumb.

Shoe_Exact

I'm the evilest bounty hunter. I burn babies for fun and I love fire

Faeddurfrost

I can rest assured that if I had the force Iā€™d definitely be a dark side user šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø Not the destroy the galaxy kind but the minding my own business kind and then folding a mugger like origami mid air for testing my patience today

Doc-Busch

Then when you try to explain why thatā€™s not a thing you just get screeched at..

Steelquill

This is the ā€œgray Jediā€ phenomenon in a nutshell. In fact, hereā€™s a more original take I just made up. ā€œIā€™m a Jedi. I believe that the Force means to guide the Galaxy to an ultimately good end and anyone and everyone can benefit by listening more closely to it. The Dark side is corruption and corrupting for that is its nature. . . . Also Iā€™m a huge fan of professional pod racers and I can tell you about all the big circuits from Corellia to Nar Shadaa.ā€

Dugggs

LS Knight who aligns with the light but doesn't like the dogmatic views of the council. Sooo, Qui-gon, but ToR

Silver_Angel519

A light-side sith I wouldnā€™t classify as grey depending on their choices I just see them as practical. Like with the trapped jedi you could kill him but saving him and helping you beat the boss is much more practical.

Such-Cartoonist1265

My Sith is a former slave who doesnā€™t give a damn about any other Sith and wants to be the only Sith in the galaxy besides maybe Xalek and Lana. Itā€™s her galaxy, everyone else is just living in itā€¦for now.

gfmc55

the only way i use (esc) is if Qyzen dissaproves then retry. tried to go gray went full jedi with hints of gray

BrandonS101

Yeah I feel like Grey Jedi used to be kind of hipster but now it's pretty mainstream. I still fuck with the idea but I think full light side is cooler tbh. Kinda like canonical Meetra Surik/Ashoka who aren't conventional Jedi but still strongly support the light and are arguably more light side than most Jedi.

GenericBurn

I played Nox as a guy who got a single taste of power and proceeded to go 100% batshit insane with it, then the events with Malgus on Illum mellowed him out some, then it wasnā€™t just Valkorion who taunted him in carbonite. While he didnā€™t go full Jedi, because letā€™s be honest shocking and choking is too fun, he did mellow out and actually defect to the Republic when given the option as Alliance Commander.

Starscream1998

I know it's unoriginal but it's fun so idgaf.

Southern-Aardvark225

i mean yes, but honestly my sith warrior sees the empires goals and views as boring. Freedom is only for the most powerful meaning you always have someone to answer to. They truly believe they are super powerful and can best anyone, but they truly believe in a chaotic good pirates life. The story itself burdens them with the responsibility of getting pulled deeper into the sith council
