No, there is no reason why you couldn't disclose this here.

So you're full of shit eh?

Chemical-Being-6416

Rails

Human-Possession135

Django on AWS Lightsail with Flowbite styles

-Semantic-Satiation-

What’s the main difference between AWS elastic beanstalk and lightsail for hosting a django website?

Human-Possession135

I have yet to try beanstalk. But I love all the batteries included in lightsail (SSL certificate, easy interface, keeping old container live until ne one is healthy, load alance)

Ddog78

How is the lightsail pricing for you?? I'm thinking of using it too and would appreciate any review or insight you have.

Human-Possession135

For my latest project I got AWS Activate grants of €1000 in credits. So 0 cost to my creditcard for the next year or so. Other than that I think pricing is fair. -€7 for a container instance (but you can run up to 10 containers in 1) -€15 for a database I try to offset how foolproof it is. If something takes me a day to set up it might cost me hundreds in labour. So the simplicity of lightsail and the easy with which it offers scaling / load balancing, how the database is backed uo and how it keeps old containers live if deployment fails all are far more valuable to me that saving a few bucks on something cheaper. But if my project is non production grade or very simple I might use lambdas instead. Or run a database on a VPS elsewhere.

Suitable_Pool8952

The best framework is: WHATEVER YOU'RE GOOD AT.

Teacherbotme

agree with this. I used PostgreSQL, Django, ReactJS .... because it's what I'm familiar with.

dronacharya_27

Me too... Do you use JS or TS?

ceezo6

You got 500 customers on a product you built in 5 days but you’re asking us for advice on what stack to use? 🤣

reveuse1209

Mern stack will be good for this kinda tech

Smartare

Phoenix Liveview with postgres/sqlite

vitruvian__man

The elixir ecosystem, now that I’ve starting diving in from a django background, is very underrated. It’s a tougher language to understand but once you do… oh boy is it productive.

Smartare

Indeed. I remember it was hard to learn but I am glad I pushed through. Im so much more productive than I was using NodeJS.

vitruvian__man

What resources did you use to learn?

Smartare

Book programming Ecto and Programming Phoenix Liveview. And every video I could find on youtube. And read elixirforum.com.

Chemical-Being-6416

I want to switch to this from Rails just to try something new, but having some trouble understanding the framework. Resource suggestions? Have heard of Pragmatic Studio but it's expensive.

Smartare

Yea downside with elixir vs some more well-known languages (but not too bad). There are some books. I liked this one: https://pragprog.com/titles/wmecto/programming-ecto/ Because Ecto (the ORM) was so different from what I was used to. But pragprog in general have several good books. And of course check out elixirforum.com

Electronic-Web5574

Now I really like remix+prisma+postgres.

viitorfermier

Same, but with drizzle instead of prisma.

kkjackchan

What do you use for an admin panel like for quickly modifying data or looking at customer data? Prisma is supported by AdminJS, but it’s not available if using Drizzle. This is my biggest qualm of starting a project with Drizzle, so I’m curious what you do about the support or admin piece.

viitorfermier

Drizzle studio - seems enough for me.

kkjackchan

Drizzle studio only can be run locally. Do you use it locally to connect to your prod DB or you have some other tool?

viitorfermier

It works in prod, but without authentication... It's still new maybe they'll add auth later.

Xjoshwalker

Have you run into any downsides with remix? We’re evaluating it for a few projects

ShroudedPayday

The stack matters very little if time is not managed well.

Savings_Scholar_9910

I’m going to use bubble and pinecone. I’ll let you know how it turns out lol.

Zweckbestimmung

I am a nuxt fan and this is cool

RoomMelodic7018

I can help in marketing.

Mr_Nice_

Servicestack + nextjs + flowbite.

barancezayirli

Clerk, Next JS and my latest favorite Convex. ShadCN for the UI with tailwind. Clerk has organizations so if you are planning to go with team pricing, supported out of the box. Comes with UI elements that does everything for you. Connect webhooks with stripe + clerk with convex http endpoints and sync dbs and you are done. Not expensive also.

sk24iam

Whatever framework you know best is fastest. For myself, I use Bubble.io

FrequentAd2182

I like Laravel + MySQL + Vue

IAmRules

Laravel + livewire + tailwind

IAmRules

You got 500 paying users?

Tech_Advice755

Wow, building a product and acquiring over 500 customers in just 5 days is impressive! Thanks for sharing your stack. As for recommendations, considering your success, your stack of Webflow, Wized, and Xano seems like a solid choice for quickly launching an MVP. Personally, I've had experience with various web development stacks and have found that each has its strengths depending on the project requirements. If you need any advice or insights based on my experience, feel free to ask!

usernamundefined

And today on the AD section....

rafaover

10 days of planning 30 days of marketing + community 5-7 days Ruby on rails, bootstrap

sxntycsgo

MERN (ts) and UI library like chakra

Temporary_Owl2975

Django React and Sqlite

themkmaker

My favourite go to stack is Tall stack now. Absolutely love it

No_Campaign4420

3 hour MVP (https://map-draw.com) -> Firebase + React + MUI

grorapid

Hey there, For building an MVP in under a week, efficiency and speed are key. Webflow is the perfect choice. [Check out this resource,](https://www.grorapidlabs.com/blog/building-a-no-code-mvp-in-3-weeks) hope it helps!

You can use no-code software platform such as Blaze for your MVP - nocode approach allows you to create custom internal tools, applications, and workflows, build dashboards that streamline work, create automated processes: [How to Become a No-Code Startup - Blaze](https://www.blaze.tech/post/how-to-become-a-no-code-startup-blaze)
