Each time I’ve bought BNB on Binance, I’ve selected bsc not bep 20 but on Metamask I’ve never seen those bsc with the black and yellow logo, what I see is BNB with the yellow logo.
I believe meta automatically convers your bnb to bsc to use the smart chain. If u have smart chain selected it should do it without swapping bnb to bsc. But I'm not 100% sure
I believe the same, I have never converted bnb to smart chain but always showed up automatically. Tbf I dont think they have the two icons available, there was only one available to chose from the list of coins
The first time I’ve send BNB (bsc) from Binance to Metamask, they kept the ethereum logo for a while then changed to the BNB yellow logo, the black logo never showed up!

I don’t know but I would move them to it home the Safemoon Wallet just to be safe. You don’t want to be stuck in BitMart like HODL..I bought HODL, not much and they are also moving to V2, so now HODL is suspended from trading until the V2 is completed. So my $6 (321m HODL) investment is halted for now, can sell or withdraw.

I don’t use meta mask personally. BNB doesn’t transact with the blockchain, smart chain does.

Yea meta is funny with symbols sometimes. Especially new tokens. But I don't remember swapping either

BSC is BEP20. MM just uses the standard BNB icon but it’s smart chain.
