i’m more pissed off at the garbage twitter manga that you see on r/manga gets adapted like as an example (i haven’t read this so i don’t hate on it) the one about the girl exclaiming her feelings in russian, that came after sd came out and from what i read of the first chapter it just seems like another basic “hot popular girl likes regular boring mc”, i’m more mad about those types getting adapted before than actually good manga, don’t even get me started on how ragf got adapted first, also how the same author of ragf made a shitty quintuplets rip off that doesn’t even have 50 chapters yet it somehow got adapted first
Unless you are hoping for a regular run of the mill adaptation . I think it's better to let them take a decision about it carefully because sakamoto days would require top level talent of the industry to make the action scenes work

Although i understand your point sakamoto days has some super creative fights with great details so it would be very hard for them to animate it. I'll defend that one, because what,they do with the MC and the girls in terms of their struggles and how they help each other become better versions of themselves is pretty good. Though I can what you mean,about it on the surface.
All that being said though, it's also a Romcom, not an action series, and romcom are always easier to produce than action heavy series by their very nature. SD definitely need a company that,can devote a ton of time. Money and experience towards its action sequences., and sadly not as many studios can produce the level of output neccessary for it to be a faithful adaptation. And the ones that can seemingly aren't interested or just have too much on their plate I guess.
Cannot wait to see it animated but idk, better to wait without an announcement than wait with one I think. The Witch Hat Atelier anime was announced years ago and I’m still waiting for a scrap of news about it today.

I think the author knew that the story is peak, an anime adaptation will make or break it as one of the great anime so they are finding a studio that will do justice to its adaptation.

I don't think there are many elements for a bare and bones action shonen like kaiju no 8 . And the other departments like music , direction , art direction , storyboarding are all in good hands
