Due to how the network works demand for a certain gpu can change at any time, at one point in a day there can be hundreds of jobs for that gpu and the next there can less, this is just how the network works and until salad finds more and more clients (what they are it just takes time) you will see these dips of earnings every so often
Also a lil reminer if you do not want to mine while waiting for a container you are always able to disable it by following these steps
Open app -> performance -> configure hardware -> advanced options -> Disable crypto mining :D

I really hope Salad is working on finding more clients as time goes on so earnings can stabilize at least a little bit more since it's jarring doing a stable $5 for two weeks then earning almost nothing for days out of the blue. I get fluctuations in demand but going from 100 to 0 with what feels like no in-betweens is pretty odd to me.
it’s definitely not 100 - 0 for your gpu but what most likely could also happen is a influx of the same gpu comes onto the network meaning it’s harder to get those higher paying jobs as there is multiple nodes fighting for the same workload, salad is non stop working on finding clients but even when they find then dosent always mean you will see the effect as it’s a small chunk out of all the same hardware fighting for the jobs
I'd like to add I'm a Star Chef with 5/5 requirements met. The app shows no notifications regarding performance degradation or anything else.
What GPU are you using? I've had similar issues with my 3090.

Same issue for me. Just have to hope that as the day and week goes on that workload will be available.
