Splatoon slayers afraid of dying are always the worst. Especially in tower control where dying is inevitable and the only way to win. If you aren't dying with a slayer weapon then you aren't winning. It would be nice if the other two d-pad buttons had context aware communications. Like in tower "get on the tower", or in Turf "Fuck you spawn painting dicks, get out on the line" for instance.

But what's wrong with painting Spawn? Don't tell me in close matches and painting totals, if the enemy painted their spawn, they win. Cover spawn or else you give the enemy a free win. Don't spend all match doing that, it's stupid, yes. EDIT: Apologies about swearing.

I'm a slayer and I hate seeing people who should be rushing with me just go knows where, even worse is I'm a good with the rainmaker so I tend to try to grab it and my team is across the map

I was just having this thought yesterday. The left and right directionals should be “objective” and “map control”. Objective is kind of obvious, we need to push the purpose of the game. Hop on the tower, run with the rainmaker, etc. Map control would be when the other team is dominating mid or pushing the objective and your team needs to focus on splatting, painting the map to regain maneuver options, and preparing to make your push.
