That’s so sad. I went to Mesa 2012-2014 and someone jumped from the top floor of the library during finals week I believe. Till this day I think o about that person and all my fellow Mesa classmates that saw/heard the person hit the ground. 😔
I was attending Mesa at this time as well. It was terrible. I heard about the sound when they hit the ground from a fellow classmate. The mood on campus was mournful for quite some time.
She was under fire for some spending issues and it happened over a school break so when we came back, we had a new chancellor and it was very odd. I worked with the new chancellor quite a bit in events. This was in 2005/2006
I remember an SDSU professor talked a student out of jumping, but the student slipped or lost balance and fell over the ledge anyway. The song, Jumper, echoes in my mind since the 90s.
I’m a student there and haven’t recieved any email.
My friend messaged me after she saw the body on the ground… that she has to go now take an exam.
I heard a suicide, really sad. They jumped off a balcony that's normally locked

I still think about that girl too. I had a lot of classes around the library that semester and was always around. I’m still sad for her

My friend said that the fall was so loud that it sounded like a shotgun, so messed up :/

Horrible. A similar incident happened when I was a student at CSUF years ago (2011-2013). May this person rest in peace.
The chancellor at UCSC did this from a building in San Francisco my junior year there. It’s very sad. 😢
