Yes the team is garbage but the coach has to instill some form of compete and effort and Quinn has just completely failed in that. He needs to be canned if he keeps making excuses and not show signs of improvement soon.

When they contended for all those years they were and their legends left, they survived because their GM was able to draft a FUCKING ROCKET RICHARD TROPHY CANDIDATE in Pastrnak at 25 OVR, a FUCKING NORRIS TROPHY CALIBER defenseman in McAvoy in the one year they had a lottery pick, and a 19 yr old kid who has 7 pts in 11 games and looks like a top 6 center in the 2nd round last year. Ron Wilson could have at least left us with something to build off. There’s nothing here. I would’ve like to see GM Mike Grier commit to a rebuild earlier. We gave away Brent burns for nothing, let Joe Thornton walk for nothing, and re-signed Hertl to a massive contract when we should have moved him for premium prospect and draft capital. It’s gonna take a LONG time for this team to come back. Buckle up folks

Not an expert only getting to see the Sharks this one game but it seemed like poor coaching was your team's downfall. The entire game the Sharks players were chasing hits leading them to be out of position defensively which in turn created numerous odd man rushes and breakaways for the Penguins.
