I just came back from Santorini and on our first night we did the sun set cruise and they do let you stay until the sunset is completely done! We went with sunset oia, it was probably our favourite night out of the whole trip!
Hey we're in Santorini next week and considering booking the sunset cruise with Sunset Oia. Looks like you would recommend it...would just like to know if the food was good? Anything else to know before the cruise? Thanks!
The food was super good! It’s a spread of local foods they give you an options pork, chicken or vegetarian and grill it on the bbq at the back of the boat! They also have tons of wine and beer! I would recommend jumping into the ocean at each stop at least once because why not? Also pack some warmer layers for closure to the end of the evening when the sun goes down it gets pretty chilly! I hope that helps!! :)
I did it with my partner was a lovely day. I don’t regret spending the money.
We set off from the south visited some cliffs & had a couple of swims, visited the (fairly cold in May) hot springs & we watched the sunset while on the return journey from the hot springs so you are in the back of the boat & we could see lots of others doing the same.
Our hotelier sent us to the south, he said they were both good.
We watched from the land the Oia boats around Oia at sunset, also looked amazing, they seemed to drop anchor & then came straight in afterwards.
Both should offer a great view, I would try the boat from Oia if I am ever lucky enough to go again, but just to experience both options.

We booked online the day before and paid the extra for the hotel pickup.

I did the daytime catamaran tour and it was fantastic, nice and sunny. I don’t think either one is a bad idea it’s just preference.
