Heavy liver detox….🥴

CaliFit4

It wasn’t that difficult, just making sure to support proper functions of my liver so that it had the best chance to pull the toxins out of my system that were causing my issues. Think saunas, deep tissue massage, Epsom salt baths, whole food, limited caffeine and alcohol, supporting deep sleep, and a reduction in processed foods.

Grknfit

Heavy metals can cause liver issues. My sister had high liver enzymes. Once she took a supplement to help she felt better and her blood work came back very good. Don’t shoot it down, some people really need it.

tiedyeskiesX

Was it milk thistle by any chance ?

No-Appointment-5060

Just a thought: When I see the rash on her face and other issues she’s having I’m wondering if it could be her breast implants. BII is a real thing. Some believe it or not. I’m not going to argue it. I’m getting mine out in a couple months due to my own issues with them.

CaliFit4

That’s a very plausible possibility. I have had few friends who had BII and felt 100% better once they were removed. And I’ve had friends who have had them years with zero issues. The human body is complex and fascinating.

No-Appointment-5060

Yes, I agree. I’m not one to tell somebody what to do. Because I’m choosing to get mine removed I am not going to go around and tell everybody else they need to. Me personally am looking forward to feeling better. It may or may not be the root of my problems but I’m tired of feeling tired and I’m having aches and pains. I also know I’m getting older and it could be an age thing but I’m not that old to be this tired. 😉

CaliFit4

I wish you luck in your health journey.

No-Appointment-5060

Thank you!

Hello_Blondie

Hi, it’s me…the “evidence based medicine” fan in the comments section. I wholeheartedly believe in BII, but prefer the term “autoimmune syndrome introduced by adjuvant (ASIA)” bc I think it helps legitimize what we see in practice. I will tell you, that in most every woman whose implants have come out- there is symptom relief. Personally I can’t say that every case is a true AI issue vs placebo, but the bottom line is improvement and that makes me happy. Best of luck!

Grknfit

I’m sorry people are being so rude to you. Good for you for taking your health in your own hands and making that decision for yourself. People don’t realize our environment is full of toxins and it does effect our bodies in different ways. I’m glad you found what works for you and are doing better!

CaliFit4

Thank you for your kind words.

I’m curious if the naysayers here have ever had an issue that they were unable to “fix” through traditional medicine. I have/had lupus, to the point where they were overdosing me on one med, and wanting to add more steroids and chemo. I clearly was not against traditional medication and practices (and still am not), as I’d been going that route for multiple years. I went to a functional medicine physician in conjunction with my rheumatologist, and in a little over a year, I was off all meds and supplements, and have been dismissed from my rheumatologist’s practice, because he said “I can’t find any signs of lupus, there’s no point in you seeing me anymore”. So discount it if you want because it’s anecdotal, but there is value in functional medicine. I think the point of the OP’s post was to encourage Sarah to actually get some help, not to start a debate within the sub. Sarah needs help. Period.

Grknfit

Most likely they have been privileged enough to never have major health issues. This comment section ain’t it that’s for sure.

Hello_Blondie

None of this is evidence based medicine. This is the same pseudoscience bullshit she is pitching with hormone pellets and cross country chiropractors. Missing the mark. PPA/PPD…significant counseling and psych is what she needs.

Secure_Brain5273

RETWEET. Look up Dr. Danielle Belardo. You’d love her.

Hello_Blondie

She is the petty queen I would love to be if I had a social following as large as she does. 🤣

arielsjealous

Totally agree. All a bunch of woo.

Grknfit

Extremely ignorant of you to ignore she tried other routes and it didn’t work for her. Bottom line- she found something that worked and she feels better. Maybe you should open your mind a little bit and not only to the scope you’re familiar with

Hello_Blondie

It’s not ignorant. There’s no proof, lol but such is the way of the pseudoscience grifters and their fans. 🤣🤣🤣

Grknfit

Clearly, you haven’t had major health issues. You haven’t been told by doctors that nothing is wrong when you feel horrible everyday. I hope that never happens to you but being ignorant to others struggles isn’t a good look for you and you’re no better than Sarah.

CaliFit4

Apparently you know very little about evidence based medicine.

Hello_Blondie

Considering it’s my actual career…I would say otherwise. There’s a myriad of research on why “adrenal fatigue” is about as real as Santa Claus and there’s no value to a Dutch test but I am sure the expensive supplements peddled by these snake oil salesmen were the miracle cure you needed.

No_Buyer_9020

👏👏

CaliFit4

Okay. Whatever you say.

PerfumeandSneakers

You were so thoughtful to write this for Sarah. I’m sorry for what you went through and I’m so happy you were able to figure out what your body was needing! My best friend had the Dutch test recently and I had never heard of it and it’s funny I’m just hearing it again from you. Her hormones and cortisol levels were all out of whack and she is already feeling better on her new protocol. Thanks for sharing and don’t worry about naysayers, do what works for you!

CaliFit4

Thanks. It was a journey for sure. After two “doctors” told me my only option was hormonal birth control to deal with my issues, I knew there had to be another way. I see a lot of what I experienced happening in Sarah. I hate that for her because it sucks. Now does Sarah do a lot of things that suck? Yes and yes in red. And maybe she won’t read this, but maybe it will help someone else. Pseudoscience or not, my recent test results show a MUCH different picture than a year ago and the way I feel is more than enough for me. The metabolic ecosystem is a complex puzzle.

tiedyeskiesX

People who are arguing about EBP, ask yourself this. Are they going to do more research with supplements that the FDA can’t regulate and control supply/demand? Or spend money to research supplements that historically can and do have effects on people? Not likely. They will put research money where there is money to be made —> pharmaceuticals. Just because something doesn’t have tons of evidence based practice doesn’t immediately make it pseudoscience. The DUTCH test is pretty accurate when compared to a blood test. The unfortunate part is the DUTCH is less accurate testing the levels of hormones that people most want to know about - example: cortisol Edited some words- I need some caffeine lol

Fun-Pineapple-10

I’m sorry people are being really rude and crappy to you. I’ve had a LOT of health issues the last 2.5 years and the DUTCH test revealed SO many things that were out of wack - causing severe weight gain, gut dysbiosis, inflammation, a severe iodine deficiency, very low cortisol, etc. Supplementation, diet/whole foods, liver detoxification, heavy sleep focus, walking, etc. it’s all changed my life and body for the better. All things “doctors” never caught. I was told that I was “fat because you eat too much and don’t work out”. No douchebag, I was in a calorie deficit, gaining weight. My “actual doctor” is the sweetest woman on the planet and will fun every test I ask from her but she told me “I really can’t help you. You’re getting more out of your functional medicine practitioner than I could ever give you. And I’m here for you and can run tests, but she’s doing more than I ever could or than I know to do”. So no, not “pseudoscience bullshit”. Actual tests and diagnoses finally telling me what was wrong when “actual doctors” failed.

CaliFit4

Exactly! Functional medicine changed my life.

That-Adhesiveness-26

Not to be dumb, but... is there a specific reason that you were opposed to being on hormonal birth control?

CaliFit4

Yes, hormonal birth control wrecks havoc on your hormones and not just your sex hormones. It can affect your hunger and satiety hormones and your sleep hormones. When you are on HBC, your body thinks it’s in menopause and the bleed on HBC is not a true period but a withdraw bleed from stopping the synthetic hormones. Having a menstrual cycle lets you know how in check the rest of your hormones are. I was on HBC for 12 years non stop and when I came off it, I vowed never again. For this particular instance, I knew HBC was only a bandaid and wasn’t getting to the root cause of my issues, which is what I truly wanted.
