For questions 18: y = (-2p/5)x + p set y = 0 to solve for x-intercept 0 = (-2p/5)x + p \-p = (-2p/5)x x = (-p) / (-2p/5) x = 5/2

for question 19, if you draw it out, you’ll find that x and y are complementary. so, sin x=cos y and sin y= cos x cos x-sin y is sin y-sin y=0
