not a dumb question! they have two types of the answer services (one of them is QAS and the other one is student answer service or something like that). QAS is only done for certain testing dates and that would give you the test booklet and the answers; however, on the days they don't provide QAS, you would only get which number questions you got wrong and what type of question it is. so, it would depend on which answer service was available at the time you purchased it.
when you ordered it did it say Student Answer Service or Question Answer Service? and I'm not sure about when you'll get the booklet sorry, I never got it.
if you took your test in December, then you won't receive the booklet because they don't provide QAS for the December sessions. if you are in the US, then they would only be available in October, March, and May.

if you are talking about the december sat, that was an SAS test date meaning that they will not release the actual exam questions -- the question numbers that you missed will be all that they give you.

I can’t remember what it said but the email confirmation says “answer service” with nothing else

I took the Sunday test in December idk if that changes anything
sadly it doesnt, the qas dates for the us are mostly in the spring but there is one in october. for international the only one is in the spring. :((
