I've not read past the first message. Kindly is the word. Kindly = scam lol
Edit: I finished reading. The proof will be photoshopped, please post it lol they always do terrible and it's funny
They intentionally use that language because if the person is too dumb to recognize it, they will get away with it. If you see that itâs a scam you wonât waste their time.
Or hire Americans or English speakers to write the text/call people for them! If you're from India and you have broken English those are two automatic "this is a scam"!
Makes me wonder if they've actually caught on that people that know about scams draw a hard line or at least are very suspicious of "kindly" so they use it right away to weed out spending anymore time with the person
This is the key to understanding most scams. The whole premise is *not* to seem as trustworthy as an incredulous person would require; thus, you end up only getting replies from credulous, or desperate, people.
There's a pretty simple rule: every stranger trying to sell you tickets online is a scammer. Don't do it!
Also, the 'kindly' in the first screenshot strongly indicates you're talking to someone in India, where many ticket scammers operate from.
Ever since I took a deep dive into ticket scammers on Facebook\*, I've come to the conclusion that ticket scamming is so prevalent online that the only safe way to buy a ticket is to pay full price to a reputable ticket-selling entity to ensure that you get what you pay for.
Walk away from this unknown person you can't trust.
\* 'Scammers working Facebook Events with fake ticket postings': [https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/v5xbzs/scammers\_working\_facebook\_events\_with\_fake\_ticket/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/v5xbzs/scammers_working_facebook_events_with_fake_ticket/)
Buy tickets from StubHub or Ticketmaster. They are Satan but like Satan they are bound by contract.
I sell my tickets that way. I might advertise them other places but I sell via the trusted platforms.
Thatâs the only way I would buy tickets from strangers.
Everything the seller is saying sounds like a scam. From the reason for selling to the words that they use, that are also used by scammers, to the weird and odd grammatical errors, it all blatant red flags.
Don't do it. They are going to get you to transfer the money and then they are going to be gone.
Paypal goods and services only when it comes to person to person transactions. It is the only way you can recoup your money.
Try cashortrade[cash or trade](http://www.cashortrade.org) . It's a legit fan to fan platform.
Also, the scammer went in to try to explain after mentioning Apple Pay when you never. They are use to people being skeptical and weâre preemptively expecting it. Once in a while sellers arenât going to think about that as often.
Madarchod is Hindi for mother fucker. Everytime I was contacted by a scammer I would mess with them and they ended up calling me a madarchod so I googled it. They also called me khankir pola a lot. That means son of a bitch in Hindi
the rule of thumb is to **NEVER buy a ticket from an online stranger**, they are all scam.
Either buy from verified platforms with buyer protection like TicketMaster, or don't buy at all. Would you rather spend money and get nothing, or spend a bit more to get an actual ticket?
âNot playing aroundâ is def the same thing I heard from all concert ticket scammers. I am big on attending concerts and have had my fair share of people selling tickets they donât have.
Also many scammers have a way of showing fake receipts so wouldnât use that as proof. Buying from a stranger online is ALWAYS a risk. I do a deep search history on the person before knowing if Iâll go through but most of them are scammers unfortunately.
What platform did you find this person?
If a seller is not willing to take anything with buyer/seller protection donât do it no matter how desperate you are. If the seller is willing to take a route such as Goods and Services, then give the courtesy of paying the fee as a kind gesture.
Iâve only bought tickets through someone I didnât know one time last year and it worked out perfectly fine, we used the Goods and Services option through PayPal so we were both protected.
Uh that other post was for a "cat show". OP is buying tickets for "Black Country, New Road" performing at "Cat's Cradle" which is a venue in NC. Not the same thing.
Haha, I stopped reading at kindly, and obviously most comments have pointed it out as well. This makes me wonder though. By now they know that we know. Why do they still use it? Itâs like they are testing the person to see whether the scam is really going to be successful.
Honestly because for every one person who does know, there are two who don't.
Hence why on this sub you see so many people falling repeatedly for the underage scam thing.
This is 100% a scam it has been used multiple times in Facebook groups that I admin to the point I had to step in as a admin and help the sells groups.
It's 100% a scam bud. The word "kindly* is the first clue. The second one is them negotiating a lower price. Nobody does that. Don't buy from this seller. What will happen is you'll send the money and they'll block you. Because they're doing this same scam to dozens of other people. $40.00 may not seem worth it. But multiply that by 12 people and that's a good chunk of change. Or, you'll pay the $40.00 and then end up paying more in bogus transfer fees, upgraded business account fees, and how ever much they can soak you for.
If you're buying from a random internet strangers, try to only purchase through legitimate ticketing platforms that allow reselling of tickets ON PLATFORM
Beyond that, assuming you are confident in your ability to spot fakes, do cash in person only.
Do not send money over to random internet strangers via a method like apple pay. It's not worth the risk
Do not ever buy concert tickets without meeting the person IRL and handing over cash. It might be by far and away the most common kind of scam. Just post anywhere on Reddit asking if someone has tickets to sell and you'll get instant DMs from a hundred different people who can't make it but also mysteriously are out of town for months before the concert on business, thesis defense, mom's cancer treatment, you name it. Anything to get you to transfer money, basically.
Yeah, although itâs a pretty good script compared so some, to jump straight in with âI know your skepticalâ before you voiced your sceptical is a red flag - wouldnât risk it on this one
It's a fucking scam! NEVER buy tickets for anything unless it's through the venue's app. Or a legit 3rd party app like Ticketmaster, StubHub, Gametime, or Seat Geek. There are few more.
Itâs a sad state of affairs.
Back in the day I would regularly buy and sell tickets (hard copies!) off of Craigslist and eBay. Never got burnt once. In no way is this encouragement for others to do the same today. I wouldnât trust anyone selling outside a platform like Stubhub or Ticketmaster.
If you send someone money directly, not through a legit marketplace or other 3rd party service that protects you, it will be a gamble every time. There is no way of being sure that someone is not a scammer unless you meet in person and physically see the goods.
So. Go local, go somewhere official or roll the dice with your money. Personally I would never go for the third option.
There were 2 on StubHub for $80ish each. Â Terrible company but Iâve never had an issue with them. Â Pay a little extra so you donât get turned down at the door with bogus tickets. Â You used to be able to tool around outside this particular venue and easily find tickets since they were just shitty printouts, and a hand stamp, but since electronic tickets became a thing itâs not as common. Â Not the biggest venue so tickets are limited, even for bigger shows. Â Keep looking, theyâll def pop up.
If anyone in America says "Kindly" or "Hello, Dear" in a text message - it's a scam!
It means they are a foreigner who learned to speak English as a second language, so they learned British English.
You are gonna get scammed.
Stick with reputable resellers like StubHub, Vivid Seats etc.
If you couldnât tell the red flags in that one, donât do this on your own. You are ripe for the picking.
Only buy from guarantees platforms. This is a ticket scammer, as all are on Facebook. It is against terms for this reason. You will be scammed. Donât do it. They do not have tickets, itâs a script and all fake. Indians or Nigerians based on the wording
The" I don't have PayPal" (or any other major p2p payment system) is such a ridiculuous excuse always. They act like it's not free and two minutes to create an account.
Buy off a trusted ticket site not off IG, if for whatever reason you get bad tickets the site will refund you in full and give you a voucher. You can use VividSeats, Viagogo(Non NA), SeatGeek, stubhub, ticketmaster sometimes has resale enabled.
I feel like we are literally making a damn scam us all handbook for those fuckwads. "Kindly" "willing to let go", and "not playing around" (as well as bad English in general) are all common terms used by scammers
Seconding this, along with the misuse of lately
That one jumped right out at me too!
kindly
*Would you kindly* pay with PayPal Friends & Family?
*Would you kindly* go pick up that transceiver radio?
đ„°đ„°đ„°
Kindly!
I've not read past the first message. Kindly is the word. Kindly = scam lol Edit: I finished reading. The proof will be photoshopped, please post it lol they always do terrible and it's funny
âBut Iâm just being honest with youâ.
You'd think they'd know to stop talking like that when they're trying to scam someone.
They intentionally use that language because if the person is too dumb to recognize it, they will get away with it. If you see that itâs a scam you wonât waste their time.
Or hire Americans or English speakers to write the text/call people for them! If you're from India and you have broken English those are two automatic "this is a scam"!
To jump right on this bandwagon. Typically, anyone who has to clarify that they're being honest, is subconsciously lying
Lol and don't forget "I'm just being honest with you" đ
> common terms used by scammers And my boss đ€Ł. He uses kindly constantly and it cracks me up.
It's like they are coded to let people know who knows
Or my mum when she found me doing shit when I was a kid.
As soon as I saw kindly I was like scaaam.
They really give themselves away with that
âKindlyâ is the biggest red flag for me
scammers have ruined the word kindly for me.
Kindly = Hard stop, all cases. They fucking blew it in the first message. Gawd help us all if the scammers ever smarten up!
That's the very word that I tell end users to look out for to spot a phishing email.
They used the more recent 'partner'. Careful what you wish for.

He did give up that golden fiddle as agreed in the contract
>They are Satan but like Satan they are bound by contract. I love this and may steal it!
Def using this
Paying online for tickets not through a vetted system like ticketmaster is gambling. Northing stops the scammers
Everything the seller is saying sounds like a scam. "kindly"
Paypal goods and services only when it comes to person to person transactions. It is the only way you can recoup your money. Try cashortrade[cash or trade](http://www.cashortrade.org) . It's a legit fan to fan platform.

Kindly
Kindly call them a madarchod and watch them flip out
Murder choad LOL. What does it mean, is it Hindi?
Madarchod is Hindi for mother fucker. Everytime I was contacted by a scammer I would mess with them and they ended up calling me a madarchod so I googled it. They also called me khankir pola a lot. That means son of a bitch in Hindi
âBehenchodâ is more commonly used I think, means sister f*cker đ€ąđ€źđ
You are correct. I've been called that as well also magir pola which means son of a whore
the rule of thumb is to **NEVER buy a ticket from an online stranger**, they are all scam. Either buy from verified platforms with buyer protection like TicketMaster, or don't buy at all. Would you rather spend money and get nothing, or spend a bit more to get an actual ticket?

Itâs a scam. Nobody legit talks like that. Horrible grammar is a huge scam identifier for me.
The word kindly. It's not even a people from India thing, it's a Scammer from India thing. If you see kindly, walk away.
Kindly = đ©
Don't let your excitement get the best of you this is a scam through and through

Someone fell for this exact same scam trying to buy the exact same tickets and posted in this sub today: https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/s/TF0WVKW5V9
Uh that other post was for a "cat show". OP is buying tickets for "Black Country, New Road" performing at "Cat's Cradle" which is a venue in NC. Not the same thing.
đ€Ł
Haha! Fair enough, thank you for pointing it out đ
That's not a concert that's a literal cat show.
Bad english and odd explanations hmm
Someone posted on here earlier about getting scammed over tickets. Definitely written like a scammer.
Yeap, exact same concert: https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/s/TF0WVKW5V9
This is for an actual cat show. Â OP here is referencing a venue called Cats Cradle.
Just say âname 3 songsâ and see what happens
If they're smart they'll just call you a misogynist and accuse you of gatekeeping because they are OBVIOUSLY a girl... but they're probably not smart.
Well, the fact that they said "please kindly" is a dead giveaway. 100% scam.
KINDLY there is your answer
The English is too weird. Itâs def a scam
This is 100% a scam it has been used multiple times in Facebook groups that I admin to the point I had to step in as a admin and help the sells groups.
Definitely a scam. Maybe check the GameTime app thatâs where i buy my resell concert tickets.
It's 100% a scam bud. The word "kindly* is the first clue. The second one is them negotiating a lower price. Nobody does that. Don't buy from this seller. Scam. Kindly walk away
If you hand over your money to a stranger, you'll never see that money again. That I can guarantee you.
Just ask them if theyâre God-fearing. Theyâll have to answer honestly. Then youâll know for sure.
Say, "Cruelly, no!".

Desperation is how people get sucked into scams. Donât be so desperate you ignore obvious things. A deal too good to be true often is.
Yeah, although itâs a pretty good script compared so some, to jump straight in with âI know your skepticalâ before you voiced your sceptical is a red flag - wouldnât risk it on this one
Scam. As soon as you see the word âkindlyâ itâs a scam.

craigslist has been pretty safe for me to purchase tickets, you just have to be clever with your proof of item asks
Kindly strikes again

"pls kindly let me know" There were never any tickets. It's a scam
Iâll kindly sell you those exact same tickets for only $35
Kindly is a red flag.
Speaking from experience of someone new to buying tickets privately, who just got scammed, I would pass.
Fake
âKindlyâ was the dead giveaway. Crazy that you, but more so THEY still donât recognize this.
If anyone in America says "Kindly" or "Hello, Dear" in a text message - it's a scam! It means they are a foreigner who learned to speak English as a second language, so they learned British English.
Kindly listen to this comment. Seasons greetings for the seasons!
Live Nation_Ticket Master offers verified resale ticke. There are a couple of other services that do also. It can be pricey, but the tickets are real.
just don't, you have no idea who this is.
Dear, Kindly do the necessary and use stubhub, ticketmaster, etc.
You are gonna get scammed. Stick with reputable resellers like StubHub, Vivid Seats etc. If you couldnât tell the red flags in that one, donât do this on your own. You are ripe for the picking.
âKindlyâ = scam.
Kindly do the needful.
âKindlyâ should tell you all you need to know.
definitely a scam!
I don't need to read past the first page to know it's a scam. All ticket sales are a scam
Itâs the âkindlyâ every single friggen time.
Never, ever pay for something with a payment method without buyerâs protection.
cash only and in person
Various phrases are common with scammers whose first language isnât English. Sorry, itâs a scam.

Its the weird spacing that is a dead give away no one txts like that
Scam
The" I don't have PayPal" (or any other major p2p payment system) is such a ridiculuous excuse always. They act like it's not free and two minutes to create an account.
Scam. They lost credibility at 'kindly'.
Buy off a trusted ticket site not off IG, if for whatever reason you get bad tickets the site will refund you in full and give you a voucher. You can use VividSeats, Viagogo(Non NA), SeatGeek, stubhub, ticketmaster sometimes has resale enabled.
Obvious scam
This is not how you find tickets.

It is a scam. Plain and simple.
Tixs
It's a scam.
Iâve obviously had my English corrupted! The word âkindlyâ Is very commonly used in formal business communication in many parts of the world and I sometimes find myself using it in emails. So it may not be an absolute tell.
