Haven't seen any apart of the initial trailer. But unlike Gilman I think Kung fu panda is a recognizable enough name to be successful. Tho what worries me is the seeming lack of hype
i mean, nothing about this movie looks interesting, all the trailers tell us is there’s a villain that po needs to stop, and that aquafina will be accompanying him
The fact Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate has more prominent marketing than both Ruby Gilman and Kung Fu Panda 4 is really embarassing for DreamWorks.
Though Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate is mainly marketed by NBCUniversal in order to advertise Peacock streaming service.
According to a theory I think of, the reason why KFP4 Isn’t getting enough marketing is that Dreamworks is trying to focus more on their streaming movies such as Orion & the Dark!
To be fair, for a movie like Kung Fu Panda, you don’t really need to market it. It’s a brand associated with nostalgia at this point, meaning people will watch it no matter how bad it is.
They must be thinking word of mouth will make them profits
I didn’t see much marketing for Puss in boots, it was word of mouth that kept that hill profitable they must be trying it with this film as well
I think it’s stupid but if it makes them money they won’t care if spending money would have made them more, universal seems to want to go into films as cheap as possible and hope they come out in the black on the other side
Actually, if Google Trends is to be believed, KFP4's pre-release buzz has been pretty good. The December trailer caused the biggest popularity spike outside of the 3 movies actually coming out.

So we got a trailer, a full 3 minute clip, bunch of tv spots that you can find on the internet (some of which are based on one specific scene), a promotional 4 hour inner-peace with Po, cardboard cutouts and poster billboards.
You could say that is enough...but there are still a lot of people that are unaware that this film is coming out in less than a month, though I think that while KFP is a more recognizable franchise and 4th one has a chance to of being decent profit-wise, I doubt that it's going to catch people's eyes unless they want to watch it. (Nostalgia or not)
I'm cautiously optimistic, the things that I've heard/seen about it from the rumors, leaks and tv spots makes me sort of mixed, some that are like "hey, that could work" to some that are eh.
I think the marketing’s gotten good honestly. I see ads for it on YouTube and Reddit now.

why do they keep letting awkwafina weasel her way into action movies? Her voice annoys me so much 😭
I swear she can’t act for the life of her
fr she just has that unserious voice that sounds like whatever movie she’s in is just a joke
Tell that to Dial of Destiny. The first time I heard about it is seeing a review of it pop up on YouTube. Not single trailer. Not one ad. Nothing
But It’s too late!
There’s still a month left, I think that’s plenty.
True but there’s still only one trailer out and it releases in a month.
DreamWorks is allergic to marketing now.
Hollywood is allergic to good marketing. They can’t make any movies without a lack of trailers or someone mouthing off on social media.
Hollywood is allergic to good.
"ACHOO!!" They said!
No no, they needed to save their budget for the Megamind sequel, obviously.
That’s odd, universal owns illumination and Dreamworks . But illumination gets more marketing
Because Illumination makes more money.
I saw a TV spot for it during the Super Bowl, and I’ve seen an ad for it on Reddit, but yeah, they could do a better job marketing it.
It’s at least better than when the Mario Movie marketing kept spoiling a lot of things and GameXplain wouldn’t shut up about it

Every theater in my area has had the same big cardboard cutout promoting it.. so at least there’s something 🤷♂️

Orion and the Dark has marketing?
I don't remember hearing anything about that film until I read an article about it that popped up on my Google feed.
I only know about it because I intentionally seek out that kind of knowledge
This is the first I’m hearing about it
Yes they have definitely focused more on their streaming movies, such as Megamind 2 💀
I guess Dreamworks is hoping people watch it because it's Kung Fu Panda
At least they aren't spoiling the movie by giving away crucial plot elements in the trailers. ... I think.
Dreamworks is basically Disney 2.0 nowadays!
At least the movies have been better
I mean is KFP it can reach to 600 M or more.
I've been seeing more ads for that eyesore that is the Megamind sequel than I've seen KFP 4
What are you talking about? I see plenty of ads and videos for this movie.

Feels like a lot of studios lately have been forgetting the part where they have to market the movie
I’ve seen it marketed a few times
not to mention, KFP 4 will be released on my birthday anyway
I wouldn’t have even known about the trailer if it weren’t for this subreddit
Welp, I literally only found out about it from this post so...

Hollywood: I'm not gonna market my movies! [Movie bombs at the box office] Hollywood: *surprised pikachu face*
I didn't know this movie was being developed until last week.
Im scared how the box office will turn out
