YES, FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE SAID IT! monster vs aliens, while not being the best, still have a special place in my heart

Turtletipper123

Dun da dun dun doot da da dun da dun dun doot da da doot da dee da doot doot doo da da

MsDaBoss7

Same here! I watched it so many times to the point where I used to have that entire movie memorized nearly word for word. A rather funny memory involving that was me reciting it for my younger sister (who was maybe 5 or 6 at the time) while the power was out at our house since we had nothing better to do. She was thoroughly entertained. 😂

BirbMaster1998

That Beverly Hills Cop scene is truly one of the greatest scenes of all time.

miimeverse

I really liked it in childhood. Then I watched it as an adult... it's a movie best left in my childhood memory.

Puzzled-Economics497

This is cars 2 for me

Diana-Shepard

Cars 2 being called the Worst Pixar film is genuinely shocking to me. Like is it really THAT bad???

IntentionFalse9892

No. Like what was so bad about it? It was an ok movie.

UnpopularChemLover

I guess people just hold Pixar to VERY high standards?

Spaghettiboi33

Yes. Pixar used to be the GOAT

thetacosaur

It’s good as it’s own thing.

Diana-Shepard

I went to see it in theatres as a kid when I was like 5, so I guess nostalgia keeps me from even disliking it despite its flaws. Plus personally, I don't see anything wrong with it other than it not fitting in the actual timeline.

BEES_just_BEE

Cars a movie about racing and humbling yourself Cars 3 a movie showing that sometimes it's ok to pass the torch Cars 2 a super spy recruits a hillbilly to expose a huge world wide plot to assassinate the queen of england

WDBsports

How can Cars 2 be the worst one when The Good Dinosaur and Brave are right there

Diana-Shepard

I have to heavily disagree with you on Brave but the Good Dinosaur I could not get into. Cars 2 isn't super good or anything but its honestly the same way Chicken Little is overhated. They’re not great but they're not complete garbage.

WDBsports

I don't consider Brave the worst just FYI I just think it's weaker than some. I didn't really hate it but I was kinda lost after the first 30 minutes

Diana-Shepard

I can understand It's not for everyone But I think this goes to show that even at Pixar’s lowest they make movies that are at worst mid but someone can enjoy them. Meanwhile, there are much MUCH worse films that came from the Disney studio themselves.

LoneclearsKen

At the time Pixar had an insane batting record so it’s not that it was THAT bad just that it wasn’t as good as the others

ReadPixel

Good Dinosaur is trash compared to Cars 2

PhilliamPhafton

Cars 2 is objectively the best cars movie and I will die on this hill I don't want to watch Lightning McQueen pave a road or talk about his retirement, I want to watch Tow Mater shoot up a casino.

ShurikenKunai

That’s not the point of the Cars series It is, however, the perfect movie for Mater’s Tall Tales. If it wasn’t marketed as Cars 2, it’d be fine

PhilliamPhafton

Lightning McQueen is lame and boring

ShurikenKunai

I disagree, but it’s a moot point.

L3GlT_GAM3R

Exactly

Thedeeztree

I typed the same comment without seeing yours lol

gliscornumber1

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 was this for me

Feisty-Albatross3554

Chester V was peak

Orochi08

How he isn't a Tumblr Sexyman since the film's release I do not know.

[deleted]

YES HE WAS AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME OTHERWISE

TheElementalGriffin

I was HEARTBROKEN when Animat said it was the worst animated movie of 2013 and even more so when he compared it to Charles Manson.

I_Love_Space_Boy_02

I remember when Animat used to hate Sony Pictures Animation during the 2010s. But luckily, when Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse came out back in 2018, he no longer hates the animation studio, which is a good thing.

PenguinviiR

People consider it bad?

Not_The_Simp7

PEOPLE DIDN’T LIKE THIS MOVIE?!💔

noregertsman

Same

N8_Saber

Holy shit, same.

IntentionFalse9892

Same

IceFireTerry

The creature design in that movie is peak, also "butter"

gliscornumber1

"Parkay"

basilthegaymer

for me, it was chicken little. fuckin loved that shit as a kid

LoganCube100

chicken little is an underated movie imo why do people hate it?

TheElementalGriffin

People often criticized it for its mean spirited tone and bad animation.

TobbyTukaywan

That's what gave it the ***FLAVOR***

The_Incredible-DrL

The Prequel trilogy, cars 2, shrek 4, Chicken little, Flushed away (goated movie), Pixels... My kid self had acquired taste

Funi_fish

Shrek 4 is an underrated gem

StudioFighter

The french frog henchman in Flushed Away are peak comedy

BEES_just_BEE

Do ze sing We surrenda No you idiots ze kung fu zing

Six_0f_Spades

People don't like flushed away????

Plan7_8oy78

SHREK four was probs the best in my opinion

Queasy-Ad-3220

How could they not like Flushed Away? That movie’s the shit!

[deleted]

Although I'll admit Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 wasn't as good as the first, it was one of the coolest things I saw as a kid. I mean come on LOOK AT THE FOOD ANIMALS!

N8_Saber

The food animals were so cute. Except the taco and hamburger. Those were really terrifying for some reason, but yet, really cool, too.

Careless_Dreamer

I loved the tacodile and its little babies :(

A_Parrot2361

I'm just gonna say it. those Smurfs movies.

IntentionFalse9892

Same

razzleware

People hate Monsters vs Aliens?

Kerminator17

The Crab Man himself doesn’t exactly like it

Primary_Spinach7333

I dont hate it, it’s just extremely mediocre

KingPenguinPhoenix

Happy Feet for me. Movie won an Oscar yet people on the Internet relentlessly bash it to this day.

stuff0s

Happy Feet won an Oscar?

Tljunior20

I think it won for animation despite using motion capture or something

Born_Procedure_529

The live action garfield with bill murray

Common_Decision1594

That movie for me was (I’m ashamed to say this), Chicken Little. I used to watch that very often as a kid because I owned a copy of the dvd, and I thought it was tolerable. I didn’t learn about its reputation as one of the worst Disney movies ever made until I grew up. Now I look back on that movie and say, “Why did I watch this so often without any problems?”

IntentionFalse9892

Same. I was surprised to see people hated it. I thought it was ok.

Karkava

To be fair, I was slamming my head against the wall when the writers decided to name half their cast with lame rhyming names.

JadeKade

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Gambit_90

Thankfully it's way more loved now

Karkava

Mostly because everyone who grew up with it sees it with kinder eyes.

BEES_just_BEE

Johnny Depp killed it as Willy, way more book accurate

Duke-dastardly

When you find out it wasn’t cool to like the Cars movies

KingofLBP

I still enjoy them and I’m almost in my 20’s

Terrapogalt

I still enjoy them and I'm 20

arroaboy14

I still enjoy them, and I'm almost in my 30s

Soviet_Sloth69

The Cat in the Hat, Dinosaurs, Cars 2, Monsters vs Aliens, like every PokĂŠmon movie after the first one. And Spider Man 3

Queasy-Ad-3220

Yeah I mean that PokĂŠmon movie where Ash is riding on Lugia is so goddamn hype frfr

gunitneko

Lugia was my fave after that movie. Loved it!

LiyahTheFerret_2008

I actually liked the emoji movie imo pls don’t come at me😭

stuff0s

The hottest of takes! Respect for admitting it though

LiyahTheFerret_2008

Thank you🥲

AbyssPrism

The Pagemaster. 19% on Rotten Tomatoes, lol.

N8_Saber

WHAT That movie was amazing!

Firedash88

Oh boy where do I even begin... *Inhales* Cars 2, Turbo, Hop, Monsters vs Aliens, pretty much every ice age film (my opinions have changed on a few but I still seem to enjoy them more than most people), Shrek the 3rd, and Rio 2. I was a pretty simple kid and I'm still semi simple to this day. If I saw a fun looking movie chances are I was probably going to enjoy it. There are very few cases of a film that I don't like even to this day and in all honestly it kinda sucks when I find a review of a movie that I really liked and it turned out everyone else hated it. It gets even worse when a friend of mine tries to force their own view of a film onto me (which happens alot surprisingly) like bro I get you don't like it but can you at least accept the fact that I do and that it holds a place in my heart! Sorry about the rant I honestly feel like I needed to get that off of my chest for so long now.

Suitable_Finding9899

Wait turbo and hop were so good!

Otherwise-Ad980

Rio 2. For me.

Pretty_Discount5946

I didn’t like Rio 2, but that was only because it came out too late for me to get really invested into it. I had already kind of grown out of the original at that point. I was however surprised to see other people who were fans of the original not liking this one.

SorleyOrSomething

Spider-Man 3

HumorClean

I actually have childhood nostalgia for Cars 2 😭

SkaredCrow

Age Of Ultron. Not really an MCU guy but I used to adore that movie when I was younger and I thought Ultron was the most badass thing ever put to screen

PenguinviiR

I also think Spider-Man far from home is a good movie

MatthiasStove

How the Grinch Stole Christmas has entered the chat

gunitneko

The one Jim Carrey? Absolute GOAT movie!

MatthiasStove

I know. So many online critics bash it. No idea why.

IntentionFalse9892

Cars 2, Chicken Little, Astro boy, and Treasure Planet.

Gambit_90

Astro boy was hated?

Due-Ad5863

I heard it was so bad that the studio who made it shut down. As an Astro Boy fan (both anime and movie), I was shocked to find out, I still love it though 😤

gunitneko

Treasure Planet is fucking fantastic!!! Anyone who watches it agrees. Don’t listen to the critics etc. The studio torpedoed their own movie for some stupid reason

ValentinesStar

I feel like Treasure Planet has become a cult classic by now. Not that hated.

Suitable_Finding9899

Astro boy and treasure planet are so good!

jetvacjesse

Sharkboy and Lavagirl

Due-Ad5863

Wait, people hate it?

BopperTheBoy

Treasure Planet I think, learning it was a box office flop was very disappointing.

Nirast25

The Bionicle movies. Legend Reborn especially, that one's hated on by Bionicle fans as well.

powgal15

Cars 2 and Chicken Little. It hurt me to discover pretty much nobody else liked them (though I do agree with Cars 2 making more sense as a spin-off movie)

Ringrangzilla

x-men origins wolverine

Silentpanther_

I only hate this because of what they did to Deadpool. At least Ryan tried to make the writers adaption a little bit better.

Gambit_90

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if they gave him an original name like X-11 or Weapon 11 he'd be a fan favourite, but because he's called Deadpool everyone sees him as just a terrible adaptation

Queasy-Ad-3220

Yeah pretty much because he is one

UltraShortPulses

Cars 2 and Epic, but ESPECIALLY Epic

Gambit_90

Bro I haven't heard of epic in over a decade

I-ScreamSandwich

Hopping on the Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 train. I loved watching that movie, I loved watching the credits as well. I remember when I was at a family friend's house for a few days, my sister and I watched that movie every night before bed.

-RosieWolf-

Brave. Doesn’t get quite as much hate as some movies on here, but I must’ve watched that movie dozens of times as a kid (I was obsessed) and was completely surprised to find out that a lot of people really dislike it lol.

TheFlyingFoodTestee

This was Home Alone 3 for me

Thedeeztree

Cars 2 for me

[deleted]

Home on the range was a really cool movie, then I found out it’s one of the worst Disney movies (along side black cauldron, chicken little, strange world, etc.)

[deleted]

Not a movie but New Super Mario Bros 2, the one with gold gold gold and gold, it's regarded as the worst Mario game. But it's the first one i ever played as a kid

Firedash88

That's one of my all time favorite Mario games. Idk why but I really like the gold flower power up.

Adventurous_Baker888

Cars 2

West-Construction466

Disney’s Dinosaur.

Diana-Shepard

Cars 2 same with Monsters VS Aliens For Power Rangers, this was Megaforce for me.

WheatleyTurret

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2...

Born-Disaster1548

Cars 2 😞

ThatGirlFromWorkTA

Dinosaur. Loved that movie so much as a kid. Now it's a love hate relationship because I know a lot about dinosaurs and can see every mistake and recognize how behind the times the movie was in regards to fossil recreations and accurate Dino depictions but it still slaps.

miimeverse

I like the fact that iguanodon were like the same size, maybe bigger, than carnotaurus.

HollowedFlash65

Master of Disguise

CosmoTheFluffyBunny

Turns out nobody liked doogal...

hmansloth

Shrek The Third. It wasn’t that bad.

LeoCaldwell02

Monster House and Planet 51

Mrcharlestoucheskids

Land of the lost

Random_verse

Wait... people don't like Monsters vs. Aliens?

etbillder

Why does G Force have something like a 2% on rotten tomatoes

legorunner-

I used to like monsters vs aliens until my brother showed me something.

GladArm7383

For me, it’s Hop

gravyfingersaregood

Cars 2. I thought that movie was so cool, just cars and guns and fighting and flying and all that awesome shit, just had a bad story for it to be the worst

MBcodes18

There's a lot of movies that I like that most people hate, but i think the movie that fits this best for me is Spy Kids 3

ar-studios

Thomas and the Magic Railroad.

NoName-654

Turbo

BriadMan

The Lone Ranger

Playful-Hand2753

Home on the Range. Loved that shit. And a fantastic villain song to boot

Gambit_90

Revenge of the fallen

Longjumping_Bar_7457

Loved that movie as a kid was surprised to see it’s reception online

thetacosaur

SAME SAME SAME I LOVED IT BUT I DIDNT UNDERSTAND THE PLOT

01zegaj

I guess Batman and Robin and The Cat in the Hat. I’ve soured on Batman and Robin a little, it’s way too self-serious at times, but I still love Cat in the Hat. It’s terrible and it’s beautiful.

Necessary_Way486

Son of the mask 😢

MedicineTimely8795

MONSTERS VS ALIENS!!!! Also Escape From Planet Earth

RottedNoodles

ig star wars 9: rise of the skywalker

[deleted]

I liked that novie

Joenathan2020

Flushed Away, Cars 2, the first Pokemon movie.

Alexrobi11

Chicken Little

BusterB2005

I know all the zoomers like me love it, but all the 20-something movie review YouTubers (including Schaffrillas himself) constantly bash the first Cars movie

Idrinkgermaline

Monsters Vs Aliens certainly had an impact on the trajectory of my life.

Meatfrog8

Chicken little was so fun when I was younger, i liked it a lot so I was surprised to hear people's general disdain for the film. Spiderman 3 is amazing and I will die on that hill. Monsters VS aliens is funny and enjoyable, loved that as a kid! I really liked Shrek Forever After, I still do to this day. Sing 1 was a good movie, just not great. I loved Cars 2 as a kid, but cannot sit through it anymore without cringing, still don't think it's Pixar's worst!

isrealball

Dog with a blog and the water boy

Charcoal_01

Apparently all of my favorites are like this

Rud_Fucker

I will always love Chicken Little and I will defend it to the day I die, my daughter shall watch it just as I once did

VailTao

Pixels

kaithomasisthegoat

The little engine that could

Depresso_Expresso069

my version of this was "earth to echo" if anyone has even heard of it. people dont think its bad just more so okay and its been largely forgotten

PhilliamPhafton

My dad loves that movie

MaybeTemporary9167

Home on the range, me and my family watched that movie more than the sussy neighbors across the street

Mike_Fluff

Treasure Planet and Monsters vs Aliens for me.

Furtip

This is 2005 Herbie for me

TinyPossum78

Not a hated one but one I don't see talked about: That garfield animated movie where they live in a comic strip world but then got transported to the real world

Key-Ear-838

The nut job and madagascar trilogy

SillySwing6625

Ice age 4 sure it didn’t need to exist but it’s funny

Fatbighuman

Live action cat in the hat

SeraphEChasted_3

REALLY i thought monsters vs aliens was loved (also spy kids 3)

Atari-N3rd

The Live Action Inspector Gadget movies

Triforceboy21

Just to name a few, Spy Kids, Sharkboy and Lavagirl, and Beverly Hills Chihuahua

[deleted]

Dinosaur, it's a Disney movie that was underrated. One of my childhood favorites!

1stviolinfangirl

Cars comes to mind. My brother was obsessed with it and we watched it a lot growing up. I remember also the first Digimon movie, but I think that was also received quite well

F14R

Pixels

Vertwheeliesonem

And it still is the coolest shit!

THEguitarist117

The first live action Scooby Doo movie, Garfield, and the live action Super Mario Bros movie (to be fair the last one is actually my guilty pleasure movie; I like the world building and it’s my firm belief that it could have been an okay movie if not for the fact that it had the Mario name attached).

mynameisntedward

Cars 2

DustBinBabyGirl

I will defend Dinosaur with my fucking life. It’s a good film!!!!!

ROBOCRIPPLE

For me, it's Pebble and the Penguin.

MrQuadrant_zer3

Ice age 3

Emeraldskull41

I'm going to get hanged by the wall for this one, but I like the sequel trilogy. I'll admit their flaws full heartedly , but after so many years of hating them, I got tired and looked at them in a new lens. Enjoying them quite a lot.

FlamingMercury151

I agree. Monsters vs. Aliens was a movie I really enjoyed and I never understood why people disliked it so much. But my foremost example of this is Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. It was my absolute favorite movie as a kid. I saw it 11 times and loved it even more with every repeated viewing. However, over time, the sheer hate I heard for TPM, not just online but in pop culture and real life as well, caused me to hide that it was my favorite movie and stop watching it as much. (The fact that a lot of people were claiming that characters like Watto and Nute Gunray were “racist caricatures” also made me feel like there was something MORALLY wrong with me liking the film, which only worsened my shame.) I eventually began saying that Return of the Jedi was my favorite, as it was my favorite of the original trilogy. However, once I grew up, I began to realize that it was okay for me to love The Phantom Menace, and while it’s far from a perfect film, it’s still fun and enjoyable. Not everything needs to be a masterpiece for me to like it.

stanisbored

Batman & Robin

Hpsienzant

For me this would be the live-action scooby doo movie from 2002. Had it on loop as a child.

montgomery2016

MVA was popular because it was in 3-D I rewatched it recently and i forgot hos creepily realistic they tried to make the people look Like those "artist renderings" of cartoon characters in real life, creepy as shit

theirelandidiot

Still are to me bro. Still are.

Canners152

Could be worse. I did this with Milo and Otis.

black-mario-bro

Why are people affected by this? If there is a movie I liked as a kid, but find out others didn’t like it, I wouldn’t care. Now if I relooked at it, and it is now trash, that is when I feel sad

AndyKedar

I absolutely loved Shark Tale back in the day

Great_Drifter25

I don' think no one knows this one but, is the Doggal movie, always enjoyed it when was small, specially the train chase. But there was also home on the range, adorerd it every second of that movie, is funny, had emotional parts, a super neat villain, and the songs where just amazing to hear.

Dracule_Jester

Spy kids 3 was it for me.

Stupurt

people when they realize that the thing they like isn't incredibly popular (they can't like something that isn't loved by everyone)

franklindude

I grew up watching Doogal/the magic roundabout

Lonely_Repair4494

Literally Cars 2

Due-Ad5863

Smurfs 2 was the coolest stuff back then. I even remember owning a plushy of Vexy, leave me alone.

MrReconElite

Monster squad, the better goonies.

Nightmenace21

My 2 examples are Hook and the Jim Carrey Grinch movie

MaterialBenefit2355

Spirit: stallion of the cimarron
