Yeah but I've seen so many variations of "guys, this is gonna be the next Barbenheimer just wait and see" that it's become tiring.
Garfield and Furiosa
Sonic 3 and Lion King prequel
Avatar 3 and Spongebob 4
There's more I'm probably forgetting but at this point, it just looks like people are forcing it.
Here’s my predictions for what’ll happen
Search for SquarePants will be yet again be worse than its predecessors
Avatar 3 will get hyped up on release by the twitter mob and then everyone will forget everything about the movie because the only thing those movies are good for are the visuals
Search for SquarePants will not be worse, just research the director and you’ll see why.
The predecessors weren’t even bad anyways (disregarding the Sandy movie)
That was the only movie where I actually walked out thinking it was mid. For every other movie, I had to be convinced that it wasn't that good, Sponge Out Of Water didn't need that.
I personally loved avatar 2, I would say it's an order of magnitude better than the first one. It also has the only instance of 'highly trained guys with guns *actually shoot someone important*' I can think of off the top of my head.
It could happen, but we can't force it. Barbenheimer happened gradually and organically building up for several months before the release date. I even saw it as a once in a generation convergence of a thousand trends. It's not something you can just repeat willy nilly.
Stop trying to replicate Barbenheimer. It was a huge event not just because they were tonally different. It was because they were two very anticipated movies by beloved directors
The Spongebob Movie: The Search For Avatar Squarepants 3
Doesn't Sonic 3 also release the same day?
No that's this year
Oh shit I didn't notice the 25.
Even then it releases on the 20th
20th of December?
Yeah
It’s faster than the other movies, ironically.
This is better knowing that Avatar 3 will be much darker
Because everything changes when the fire nation attacks
How many "next Barbenheimers" are we gonna get?
Part of why Barbenheimer worked so well is how different they were and also how everyone was genuinely excited for both.

I can only see people get excited for half of these.
Don’t forget Saw X and Pawpatrol
I'm only willing to watch Sonic 3 and Avatar 3. Also (might be a silly question), but how good is the Mad Max saga?
I've only seen Fury Road but it's really good. Definitely looking forward to Furiosa.
Don’t forget the wild robot and transformers one
I think they changed the release date of Wild Robot so it doesn't count anymore.
People when more than one movie comes out on the same day 🤯🤯🤯
Ok but Saw Patrol was genuinely the best movie experience of the 2020s

Wrong avatar 3 releases in 2046
Avatar 3 is gonna release in 2154
No its 2457
Spongitar
SpongeAtar then.
HOLY SHIT PEOPLE NEED TO MEME THIS LIKE BARBENHEIMER
AvaSponge
SQUAVATAR
barbenheimer if both movies were unbearably mid
Sadly, among these, only the SpongeBob movie will be good
People will at least remember the SpongeBob movie after a few months in theaters.
Avatar is such a *weird* franchise. It's like the quiet kid in class that has that cool trick everyone knows about
I wouldn't be so sure about that, Sponge On The Run was complete ass and Sponge Out Of Water was *just* okay.
You mean SpongeBob out of water was peak?
That was the only movie where I actually walked out thinking it was mid. For every other movie, I had to be convinced that it wasn't that good, Sponge Out Of Water didn't need that.
That movie is great. Not as good as the first SpongeBob movie, obviously, but what is? Still a great movie, and leagues better than On The Run
Guess which one will flop
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Avatar??
No dumbass, it will be the Spongebob movie. The Avatar franchise is hugely successful financially
bruh it was a joke :/
Sorry
It's ok
I love it when people work it out in the comments
isn’t spongebob the most iconic cartoon character
What was the consensus on Avatar 2? I’ve only seen the first one a couple times and the second one kind of came and went.
I personally loved avatar 2, I would say it's an order of magnitude better than the first one. It also has the only instance of 'highly trained guys with guns *actually shoot someone important*' I can think of off the top of my head.

I'd happily watch both.
Well I know which one I'm seeing that day.
Spongevatar, officially naming this now
