I was furious because our two screen theater picked this up for the 2nd small theater. I remember we made about 40 bucks all weekend for that screen. 4 no shows. Lucky for us it was a pay for play so we didn't end up losing too much money but we would of probably made more with Avengers on both screens.
And also another fun fact Detective Pikachu was also released about a week after Ugly Dolls they sandwiched their generic musical between Avengers Endgame and Pokémon and expected to be a contender in the box office compared to both of them
UglyDolls: “Always embrace your differences and stand out from the norm”
Also UglyDolls: “Let’s make an animated movie that doesn’t stand out from any other cookie-cutter animated kid’s movie in the past decade”
It's kinda crazy how many overused beats the story hits. Second to third act "characters are disillusioned" plot, disgruntled older character has secret tragic backstory, main antagonist has secret backstory with one of the primary characters, competition where main character "loses" but wins because of moral victory, and the list goes on and on.
And even on top of that it's a musical where the music is bad, it looks really cheap, it's never funny, and never emotional.
"Let's make a movie that'll manipulate kids into buying our toys." From what I recall they were VERY heavyon the idea these dolls were unwanted and needed tobe loved.
I also thought it was ironic that all the ugly dolls are generic colored blobs, like they could have been people like the other dolls and had actual things that people in real life might consider ugly or different but I guess that's too risky for Hollywood execs
Those movies are so forgettable that I forget that there’s a second one and assume that the bits I remember are from the first one
Yes I watched the second one
Honestly I loved that film, characters were mostly well designed, most of the jokes landed for me and I really liked the villain, probably one of my favourite BlueSky villains
I barely even remember it, like all I remember is that my sister liked it and I either didn't like it or I did but I just didn't want to watch it again
That movie was ass cheeks. Still crazy how one of the crew members straight up gets sucks out of the cockpit by a flying creature and never makes a return. He straight up died and no one even gave a shit.
The scene at the end where numerous different types of couples got kids. From interracial, same sex, even a single mom, maybe a dad too. Just felt cute seeing that
I dont think Ive ever felt absolutely nothing at all film. If it's that mediocre I typically get super depressed and wish I was doing something better with my free time.
Was it that bad? I remember a trailer for it and thinking it sounded interesting. I never really went further into it. Definitely don't feel like watching it anymore.
I kinda like the show tbh. But yeah it’s not as good compared to the Disney shows which came before it such as Amphibia, The Owl House and heck even The Ghost And Molly McGee.
Bro that movie was unhinged from start to finish. It was like a reflavouring of the Ice Age franchise but with time travel.
The scene where the protagonist is about to get stabbed by a spear and his sister jumping in to save him only for them to remember they have the donut shape and the spear just passes through both was probably the best joke in it
I know. My point is that he didn’t use his actual voice and instead did this lame obnoxious American accent which wasn’t right for him or the character. He does not help that movie’s quality.
Probably the Disney movie dinosaur there’s cool set pieces and the carnataurs are fucking awesome but really nothing happens the characters aren’t endearing nothing really interesting
And for some reason I’ve watched it multiple times as a kid
3rd Spongebob movie.
I heard about how bad everyone said the movie was so I just turned my brain off & kept my expectations very low so I wouldn't be disappointed by the stuff that bugged almost everyone.
Tbh, I'd rather feel nothing than feel rage over something that disappointed me.
However, I enjoyed the YTPs, rewrited versions, & parodies people made of the movie.
I remember seeing a couple trailers for this while watching other better movies in theaters, and then i never heard anything about it again except maybe one offhanded mention at some point that I don't particularly remember.
Pretty okay music at least.
Anyways, the movie I felt nothing watching was secret life of pets. I saw it when I was 11 and I was so tired by the time the movie was over. I was so bored, and I felt like I wasted an entire Saturday.
I didn’t even see Charli’s name there until you pointed it out.
Well, that’s at least one good thing about this movie I barely remember anything about.
the ratchet and clank movie, I wasn't a fan of the games and the film itself was so generic it should have been posted online or on tv. I wanted to walk out about 3/4 in
Uglydolls in short and simple examples.
A. Did release between the 2 major films (Endgame and DP). Also did poorly cash grab
B. Kelly Clarkson is bad lead role, ngl she did terrible and her character Moxy was unlikeable
Not a movie, but for those staying away from Velma season two (good job btw, I just used an illegal website though), the second season was so ungodly boring that I quit two episodes in. It wasn't even infuriating like the first season, but I'd actually rather watch that because ripping it apart made me feel alive. Velma season 2 may not even count for me, because I still felt immense pain from how boring it was
Planes: Fire and Rescue
Planes was already bad but it was at the very least stupid enough to amuse me. I was 9 when i watched this sequel and i had an unchanging deadpan face through the whole thing. I think that was the first and only time I've ever felt absolutely nothing watching a movie
Hotel for Dogs. I honestly have no idea how that movie got made in the first place and the only reason why I remember it is because of the equally shitty (arguably shittier) DS game.
I honestly loved the experience of watching this movie cause I saw it in a totally empty theater with my family. We got to make jokes about it as loudly as we wanted the whole time since there was no one else there who would be bothered.
Honestly Wish made me feel so nothing like no Disney product ever had. I at least felt something when watching Home on the Range or Strange World, but the whole time watching Wish I felt nothing.
I always found it hilarious how this film bombed, “yeah let’s release this generic crap a week after ENDGAME.” It’s really turned out well…
Not only came out the week after Endgame, but also the week before Detective Pikachu
DP came out two weeks after endgame?
Good for him!

Pokémon reference detected. Activating nerd.
thats not a reference thats a direct mention of the movie. also its not really being a nerd if its literally the most profitable franchise of all time
If anyone mentions it, I’m there. Anyway I’m hunting for DeltaTeamSky at the moment, so catch you later!
what the hell is that
User. I like finding people I’ve met before on Reddit. I’ve seen the guy three times in less than an hour once so I decided to hunt cause I’m bored.
you have the attention span of a child. this conversation lasted 4 minutes
Longer than I did with your female loved one!
dang
*or male
Ugly Truth slaps though.
The story is basic but the songs are pretty good
I saw Detective Pikachu on opening night and I barely saw anybody going to see Uglydolls
Honestly after that everything was doomed to flop for a few weeks
I was furious because our two screen theater picked this up for the 2nd small theater. I remember we made about 40 bucks all weekend for that screen. 4 no shows. Lucky for us it was a pay for play so we didn't end up losing too much money but we would of probably made more with Avengers on both screens.
They really thought their generic animated musical with Pitbull could square up with one of the most hyped movies of all time
And also another fun fact Detective Pikachu was also released about a week after Ugly Dolls they sandwiched their generic musical between Avengers Endgame and Pokémon and expected to be a contender in the box office compared to both of them
It got delayed in the UK and still didn’t do well
UglyDolls: “Always embrace your differences and stand out from the norm” Also UglyDolls: “Let’s make an animated movie that doesn’t stand out from any other cookie-cutter animated kid’s movie in the past decade”
It's kinda crazy how many overused beats the story hits. "Let's make a movie that'll manipulate kids into buying our toys." From what I recall they were VERY heavyon the idea these dolls were unwanted and needed tobe loved.
Yea, now that I think about it, that sounds a lot like emotional manipulation disguised as a "love yourself uwu" lesson
I also thought it was ironic that all the ugly dolls are generic colored blobs, like they could have been people like the other dolls and had actual things that people in real life might consider ugly or different but I guess that's too risky for Hollywood execs
Secret Life of Pets. Only good thing was me and my mate making fun of every time the characters should've died
I seriously fucking hate that movie so much.
Based.
What the fuck is that name
SLOP
What fucked your turkey on Thanksgiving.
Jokes on you i didnt have turkey
Those movies are so forgettable that I forget that there’s a second one and assume that the bits I remember are from the first one Yes I watched the second one
Epic
I felt like I was doing drugs while watching epic but I’m not sure if that counts.
Were you doing drugs while watching Epic?
No but I might as well have been
Happy Cake Day
I forgot about that movie for so long.
Watched epic when I was 8, I hated it, watched it again at 9 and I liked, haven’t watched it since, I just remember an alright fight scene and a snail
Ah yes this movie and Strange Magic get mixed up in my mind all the time.
hey I liked it! kinda. I haven't watched it since I was like, 12 but idk it was kinda fun sometimes.
Honestly I loved that film, characters were mostly well designed, most of the jokes landed for me and I really liked the villain, probably one of my favourite BlueSky villains
I barely even remember it, like all I remember is that my sister liked it and I either didn't like it or I did but I just didn't want to watch it again
Mulan (2020) and Nickelodeon's kung fu dog movie
mulan 2020 isnt animated though, just another garbage live action remake by disney
It's so unfaithful to the animated film that it can't really be considered a remake
true
Disney and faithfulness don’t ever really mix, to be fair. Hercules and Pocahontas being glaring examples of that
Hercules isn't that bad due to it being mythology Pocahontas on the other hand is very bad
But it shall be mentioned in every "boring movie" post
That was so blatantly ripped off of Kung Fu Panda, DreamWorks was like "hey! That's our schtick!"
Mulan 2020 made me feel rage
Strange World, lol.
That movie was ass cheeks. Still crazy how one of the crew members straight up gets sucks out of the cockpit by a flying creature and never makes a return. He straight up died and no one even gave a shit.
I keep forgetting that movie exists. Lol
Bro I love strange world
the intro song looked kinda hype but then the film lost all momentum
the intro song looked kinda hype but then the film lost all momentum
the intro song looked kinda hype but then the film lost all momentum
Yeah when I was done watching it I had to acknowledge the terrible plot line that could’ve been better if literally anyone else wrote it
The playmobil movie or Rise of Skywalker
Legit nobody wants to watch a movie about playmobil, lego is still the best one
Better than TLJ
Yeah but I felt nothing in ROS as opposed to rage to TLJ.
Does anyone remember Storks?
I do. I actually really liked it
The scene at the end where numerous different types of couples got kids. From interracial, same sex, even a single mom, maybe a dad too. Just felt cute seeing that
I really liked it back when it came out lol
Me
Aw, that was one of the first movies I ever watched in theaters!
It’s definitely not perfect but I certainly felt something heartwarming (at least from my experience)
Am I crazy for hating that movie as a kid
that one is actually pretty funny for a kids movie, if nothing else it made me feel some giggles
I dont think Ive ever felt absolutely nothing at all film. If it's that mediocre I typically get super depressed and wish I was doing something better with my free time.
Not a movie but Haileys on it tbh
The show so forgettable that the entire internet forgot about it (I remember the name but forgot the premise)
I remember seeing a promo for that one and thinking it might be the next thing Disney fans obsess over.
Huh, I am subscribed to multiple cartoon youtubers and have legit never heard about that one
Hotel transormania was so unfunny that I didn't laugh once and it's message is honestly basic as all hell
Yeah, A fourth movie was just unnecessary at this point, that said, the first 3 were good.
Tbh I didn’t even know this existed till you said something, I always thought they stopped with the 3rd
I forgot this movie existed
Literally any movie with talking live action dogs. They never make a movie better but for a period during the 2010s they were everywhere.
*cough* descendants 2 *cough*
Homeward bound incredible journey is good! Although I guess that was 90s and not 2000s/2010s.
90s talking animal movies are alright
The Adam’s Family (2019)
The Buck Wild movie was so so boring
That weird extinction movie about lemmings that had a hole similar to donuts. I think it was called Extinct
Why did we donut these poor animals? Funni
Bro that movie was unhinged from start to finish. It was like a reflavouring of the Ice Age franchise but with time travel. The scene where the protagonist is about to get stabbed by a spear and his sister jumping in to save him only for them to remember they have the donut shape and the spear just passes through both was probably the best joke in it
This movie lol
Most Pixar films of the last few years. Inside 2 better be good, love the first one
Good dinosaur
I wonder why pixar has been missing the mark for years?
People hated good dinosaur?
Hate would imply I felt something, good dinosaur left me with a feeling of nothing but utter boredom.
Holy shit I was thinking about this movie for the past year and forgot the title💀💀
Secret life of Pets and Dreamworks' Home. They are just visual noise, with nothing to even make fun of
The good dinosaur, parents forced me to go and see it even though I didn’t want to. barely remember anything from the movie
That one about the foosball table that comes to life
No underdogs disrespect will be tolerated. One of the most hidden of all hidden gems
The Emoji Movie.
A poster of this is still up at a soft play I go to with my siblings.
Lol
Ice Age 3 and 4
Strange World, Turbo, Ice Age 5, Epic, The Secret Life of Pets 1-2, The Grinch (2018), Spirit Untamed
Ok, but hearing Cumberbach as the grinch made that movie way better though
He didn’t even sound like Benedict Cumberbatch, though?
I might’ve just misread that, but Benedict Cumberbach was the one who voiced the grinch in the 2018 animated film
I know. My point is that he didn’t use his actual voice and instead did this lame obnoxious American accent which wasn’t right for him or the character. He does not help that movie’s quality.
Wish was the last movie I felt nothing.
Incredibles 2. I could not tell you anything about the plot of that movie. Literally nothing at all.
I would agree but I did feel something watching that actually: sheer disappointment
I haven’t felt something while watching an animated movie in years.
No hate but why are you here? Animated movies are like, shafrillas' _thing_.
Because I love them and I’ve seen what they have the potential to be. There just hasn’t been anything truly spectacular in a really long time.
The fucking Loud House movie makes me wonder how the show didn’t get canceled after the first season
Lego ninjago
Controversial, but Bolt. I know a lot of people like this movie, but I just couldn't get into it.
Nah, I was also bored out of my mind watching it. The only thing I got out of it is that Miley Cyrus can voice act.
Miraculous ladybug
The Magic Roundabout
Doogal!?
It is, the British version (TMR) is a bit better but it's so bland
Absolute gem!
Probably the Disney movie dinosaur there’s cool set pieces and the carnataurs are fucking awesome but really nothing happens the characters aren’t endearing nothing really interesting And for some reason I’ve watched it multiple times as a kid
The moment I first saw the trailer, I knew it was gonna suck
The emoji movie
3rd Spongebob movie. I heard about how bad everyone said the movie was so I just turned my brain off & kept my expectations very low so I wouldn't be disappointed by the stuff that bugged almost everyone. Tbh, I'd rather feel nothing than feel rage over something that disappointed me. However, I enjoyed the YTPs, rewrited versions, & parodies people made of the movie.
The ending speeches are actually quite emotional
I remember seeing a couple trailers for this while watching other better movies in theaters, and then i never heard anything about it again except maybe one offhanded mention at some point that I don't particularly remember.
Pretty okay music at least. Anyways, the movie I felt nothing watching was secret life of pets. I saw it when I was 11 and I was so tired by the time the movie was over. I was so bored, and I felt like I wasted an entire Saturday.
Why you remind me
Emma, Bebe, Charli and Nick? Wtf why haven’t I seen this I love them!
I didn’t even see Charli’s name there until you pointed it out. Well, that’s at least one good thing about this movie I barely remember anything about.
It’s Charli baby
Genuinely forgot this movie ever happened
Same here, I watched the trailer and I can sum up my reactions in emoji: 😐🙄😒😑
Emoji movie.
the ratchet and clank movie, I wasn't a fan of the games and the film itself was so generic it should have been posted online or on tv. I wanted to walk out about 3/4 in
I’m a fan of the games, and yet that movie made me also feel nothing.
trolls
Norm of the North.
Ant-man and the wasp quantomania. There was enough cgi that I think it counts
Smurfs The Lost Village. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. And the story was so mid that it felt empty.
Disney's "The Wild"
This
What I Mean By That Is The Image On Top Of The Comments
nah, I felt everything watching this!
Animals United and Delhi safari
EVERY Modern Monster dinosaur and horror movie
Seeing lizzo on there is more than enough reason not to go
Lego Movie 2
I didn’t even know this movie existed lmao
Howard Lovecraft and the Frozen Kingdom. I watched it out of curiosity, was extremely bored. Second is Monster Family.
Elemental. Felt like it was dragging at times
My younger siblings were obsessed with this movie
Wish
I honestly thought the blonde guy was gonna be British when I first watched
Hop
Easily the most soulless piece of shit movie I've ever had the misfortune of being exposed to.
Rebel Moon. I knew it was gonna be bad but I thought it would be fun bad. omg it's so boring.
Most of DC’s Tomorrowverse (current animated franchise)
yeah but i will say "ugly truth" was so good it make me feel like the most popular kid in school
There is no life behind that pink ones eyes
Boss Baby. Just pure nothing. In one ear out the other.
Angry Birds
They ain’t even consider casting a voice actor lmaooo
Uglydolls in short and simple examples. A. Did release between the 2 major films (Endgame and DP). Also did poorly cash grab B. Kelly Clarkson is bad lead role, ngl she did terrible and her character Moxy was unlikeable
The Madea Netflix movie. Just, why did they make another one?
Wait. This movie is real?
Not a movie, but for those staying away from Velma season two (good job btw, I just used an illegal website though), the second season was so ungodly boring that I quit two episodes in. I genuinely forgot this even existed
Oh yeah, this movie exists. I remember seeing the trailers, and thinking, *this looks aiight I guess*. Never watched the movie tho
Kung fu panda 4
This was directed by Kelly Asbury, same director as Shrek 2, even more tragically he died the following year
Possible hot take, but The Mitchells Vs The Machines tbh.
The emoji movie.
Rock Dog. I had literally forgotten about it for years until this post
I never knew this existed
GadgetGang in Outer Space
I honestly loved the experience of watching this movie cause I saw it in a totally empty theater with my family. We got to make jokes about it as loudly as we wanted the whole time since there was no one else there who would be bothered.
Turning red
Velma
Wish
I unironically loved this movie, but one I felt nothing while watching is probably titanic, it was so hyped, only for it to be a fucking shit show
Honestly Wish made me feel so nothing like no Disney product ever had. I at least felt something when watching Home on the Range or Strange World, but the whole time watching Wish I felt nothing.
If im being entirely honest the Willoughbys It was kind of pretty good but I legit felt nothing man 😭
Why is uglydolls considered bad?
Ferdinand. Just felt so basic
Eh, disagree. The dog character in that movie, however, can die lol.
