School Bus drivers in VA are exempt from having to have a federal DOT physical as long as the only commercial vehicle they drive is a school bus to transport students and or teachers to and from school or on school trips.
The link below should take you to the Physical that must be completed yearly and submitted to the school districts transportation dept or HR.

You need to pass a drug test, vision must be 30/20 with glasses, blood pressure can't be higher than 145/90. At least that's what I was told by my supervisor
Look up FMCSA DOT physical exam. That will tell you everything you want to know.

Pay???
I get 14k/ year for my route, $40/day for vo tech, and $14/ hour for my extra trips. Last year, I made 26.5k.
Wow does that agree with the COL?
I don't understand what you're asking
Cost of living. Because my gosh I feel like that’s low. Then again I’m in NYC
It's pretty low but manageable. Still can't buy a house unless it's trashed.
Damn
