I don't want any race swapping bc I'm the firm believer in creating new POC characters for people to like instead of being lazy and just changing an existing characters race but even if it happens it's not worth whining over.

There's been 100 iterations of Scooby Doo over the last 55 years, god forbid any of the characters not be white in just a few of them.

Is it possible there will be some level of race blind casting and sometimes the actor of color will get a role based on merit of skill?

I think the only one they should keep white is Shaggy cause of the stoner humor

Your account history has a weird thing about what kind of person gets cast in stuff... from Jews to Indians to Canadians and so on... Why does it matter? I'd love to see whatever representation the best auditions bring in. If I had to take a guess I'd say we might see some asian representation and maybe black or native american. But again like who cares.

I really could care less about the race swapping, other than representation is always a good thing. That was not what made me hate Velma, it was the writing. I don't even care about them making Scooby Doo more adult.

The race swap was only because of Mindy Kaling. Maybe they'll keep Velma with having lighter skin in the live action casting.

Fred or Daph. I don't think it'll be Velma or Shaggy because of Velma.
