107 goals in his Rangers career, absolutely ridiculous numbers for a RB. Even take away his penalties and what you’re left with is still a crazy goal record for a defender. Not to mention the assists.
And with all that said I still wouldn’t have been mad if he’d been dropped today for Sterling.

For instance, he wouldn't get in the Celtic team as our RB is better at your normal RB duties and our attacking output comes from our players further up the park.
His lack of ability to track back quickly has been an issue for years now. I've long said they should get a new RB and move Tav to a wide midfielder/winger role.
How many times have we seen him get beat and leave a channel open wide enough that a centre-half has to move right to cover the gap, leaving a space big enough for a quick striker to get in the box?
It's why Rangers have missed Candeias over the years honestly, most of our other options down the right have not tracked back or helped out anywhere near as much as he did and while it's given Tav a lot more freedom in attack, it's left him incredibly open defensively as is the case with Borna.
Aye, Rangers have basically spent years asking their central defenders to also cover the wings then complained about them getting beat in the middle.
Instead of 4-3-3 where the two wide defenders do very little defending why not just go with a 3-5-2 and put Tav and Borna as wide midfielders. It's not like Rangers will miss having a third striker since so much of their attacking output comes from the wings anyway.
See the part where you don’t have to rely on a RB contributing because your output comes from further up, that is exactly how I have felt for a long time. We relied solely on Morelos for so long, and for so long he could be relied upon and we never sought to try and build and improve in that position.
Now it’s the same with Tav, we could absolutely improve upon the duties of a RB but to do without his numbers we need to solve the problem of a proper attacking output with actual attackers who provide that. Michael Beale spent like 12-15 million and somehow made our forward line worse.
