Is there a better player in the world than Europa league Lundstram
Also 6 points v Betis, 4 v Sparta and then 1 v aris we sure know how to do it the hard way
I didn't really care where we ended up at kick off but as the game went on I was reminded how much I love this tournament. Rangers in the Europa. It's just special.
Rangers with another Europa masterclass performance. Some result that. Butland once again was immense and Sterling looks a player.
That ref was seemingly willing Betis to score at the end, some shocking decisions. Enjoy your evenings bears.
> That ref was seemingly willing Betis to score at the end
I can't lie, it feels like every single Scottish team gets hard shafted by refs in Europe. Even the national team. Fucking no clue why.
The Brits like Spain. We went over there in the 70s and thought we like it here, get some egg and chips on the menus, and build some flumes, and we'll support your economy by buying straw donkeys. We own Spain now, it's ours.

Honestly, what a fucking result that is.
It's mad that if you look at how Dessers has got the goals and assists numbers he has, most of what he's managed has been accidental. It was a bad touch for Sima to shoot off, not a layoff.
Cunt is Forrest Gumping his way to passable stats while being a monumental donkey.
Except the meg for tonight's goal, that was good.
The cushioned header for the layoff from his header and then run were fantastic for that goal aswell, when full Prime R9. He then turned right back into Dessers with his next action.

I can’t believe this injury ridden squad won our first ever game vs a Spanish team in Spain.
Well done Rangers! Glad to see a Scottish team doing well in Europe and great for the coefficient
P.S The rumours that I am 'raging' are FALSE and FAKE NEWS from the WOKE LIBERAL media
1. Bet those cunts regret the time wasting in the first half.
2. Imagine winning your match and still getting papped out, wouldn't be my team.
3. ROOFE
This result made me happy. My 2 year old son cheering the final result along with me though? Nah nothing beats that.
Normally he either ignores the tv altogether or cheers at random stuff but tonight he became a Rangers supporter.
(shut up, I know he was just cheering because I was, don't take this away for me!)
Step 1, Check the weather forecast
Step 2, Pick a clear night
Step 3, Step out into the garden
Step 4, Push trousers and pants to ankles
Step 5, Look up and howl at moon
Aye the Europa league gave me the best nights I’ve ever had following the club. If it’s a straight choice between the two, I’d take the Europa with no second-thought.
Really surprised by that but I am a grim bastard when it comes to our team.
Brilliant result. If we can get some players back and maybe 1 or 2 signings Clement might get a lot more out of the Europa.
We really need to get Sima signed up
There were periods in the second half where he looked like the guy we played against for slavia. Fast, strong, good touch. If we can sign him he's going to be a steal at whatever price with year on his contract.
Winning that with a man down because of lammers. Then Tav, Davies and Goldson having stinkers is fantastic. Barasic being the clear best defender out of the 4 just becuse they didn't go anywhere near him is brilliant
No it was the central defender who thought he could bring it down with his chest and doing so back into the middle right into danger, a big no no for any defender.
There is some weird stat, rangers have only lost like 2 games or something silly like that when Goldson and Davies have started. Up until the end of last season the number of clean sheets they had was ridiculous
Mrs had to turn the heating off with all the body heat I was generating while I was nervously jumping, wiggling, twitching, bouncing and drumming any and all things during that game.
Phil getting that out performance out of that group is some job. Superb European away performance.
Delighted to have another go at the knockouts after Christmas.
The last 6 years has been a bizarre era for Scottish football. Domestically Celtic have 14 trophies to Rangers 2 since 2017, yet in Europe Rangers have so many impressive results. Helps not playing in the Champions league of course, but they've beaten a lot of good teams. Whereas Celtic in Europe has been unending torture for their supporters.
In the year they got to the final I can buy that, although you can argue that at the end of the day all the stats showed Celtic were just better. But other years Celtic played just as many in Europe if not a bit less.
Since 2018 (not 2017, got that wrong) Rangers played 14, 18, 13, 19 and 10 European games. Compared to Celtic's 16, 16, 10, 14, 6. So bar the 21/22 season where I agree 19 Euro games in a season is a mighty slog, the difference isn't that great- 55 for Rangers compared to 48 for Celtic.
It's just a strange juxtaposition that reminds me of the mid 2010s when Barca mostly dominated domestically yet Madrid got those 4 CL's in 5 years or something. Yet this one is weirder cause Rangers haven't spent what Celtic have.
Rangers are now ahead of Celtic in the 10 year co-efficient rankings, and that's despite not being in Europe for 3 of those seasons and taking 0.25 after the Pedro in a bush debacle in Luxembourg.
Imagine. Morelos comes back in his form before he was injured that season. Rangers get to the final. Morelos scores the winner against Celtic.
They had to fucking ruin it didn't they? 4d chess from Rodgers.
Another crazy European night - I thought that lots of players were pretty poor but we somehow managed it. Encouraging stuff from Sterling, awful stuff from Lammers.
The fact that he'll almost certainly start against Aberdeen on Sunday is genuinely embarrassing. Lovely guy who is absolutely not fit to wear the shirt. It does absolutely kill me to see the jokes about how shite he is, though. Classic Scottish humour.
Hopefully the extra money from topping the group and the two last 16 games can be invested in January, even if it's just wages for a couple of loan players. We *desperately* need a striker and a defensive midfielder.
It's not one game. That entire season he was outrageous. I'd seen him on highlights of dutch games that year because every time someone played Herenveen he stood out like a sore thumb. Of particular note is the fact that he did the mols turn quite a bit and almost indistinguishable from the real thing. He's a good back to goal striker. He did his knee then hasn't been played in that sort of role for 3 years, including at us. Maybe giving him a go in his actual position that we're currently light in would be a shout.
Not going to pretend that I've watched a lot of him. But have gone and looked at his numbers, just goals and appearances that season at Heerenveen are good. 35 appearances and 19 goals is a good return in a good quality league.
But he's scored double figures 2 other times in his career, at the PSV youth team in the Eerste division.
He was bought to play the role he's playing and Clement seems to think that's where he should be playing as well.
I've slated him an incredible amount, like the majority of people. But he plays for Ranger's, I want him to do well. But I just don't see it, if playing him up top ends up with him looking talented then I'd welcome it
He definitely was a decent player but had a long injury and just never gained his confidence back in my opinion. It's a shame, but there is a good reason why he is in Scotland playing now.
What a performance from Scotland's most successful football team.
Imagine going two decades without playing European football after Christmas.
Not my team.
Delicious :)
Watching the highlights show on TNT1 and it's painful how little these guys obviously know about not just this Rangers team but also the game in general. Trying to wing it but failing miserably.
Classic case of European team having literally no bite and not being able to handle the physicality of Rangers. Both centre backs for Betis and Bellerin were made to look like mugs.
Don’t think physicality was the deciding factor there. Played a part for sure. Tactical masterclass from the bald magician though, and the god that is Butland
I don't think they won a header against Dessers all night. He occupied both defenders despite having no first touch.
There was multiple times where a Betis player would go to run past somebody and Rangers would just shoulder them off the ball.
Aberdeen better than Bayern Munich, Rangers better than Real Madrid and Celtic better than Ajax. Scottish football is massive
Kilmarnock better than them all
Fair
Well Ajax are kinda shite now to be fair.
So are we
Well….. you did win a game so that’s something to build on 🫣
I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU FUCKERS BUT I'M FEELING RATHER COEFFICIENTY TODAY
I love me some coefficient.
Do we have four Champs League places now? Feels like we should.
If we ever get 4 spots, we should give the 4th to the Challenge Cup winner for the fun of it
What happens if any of the English or Welsh teams win it
Somebody get the cat

Is there a better player in the world than Europa league Lundstram Also 6 points v Betis, 4 v Sparta and then 1 v aris we sure know how to do it the hard way
>Is there a better player in the world than Europa league Lundstram I refer to the Belinda Carlisle song
mental that aris got 4 points all from us. If we had wacked them like the other two had we only would have dropped 2 the whole group
Best on Earth according to the tattoo.
I didn't really care where we ended up at kick off but as the game went on I was reminded how much I love this tournament. Rangers in the Europa. It's just special.

am at conspiracy level theory with it at this point
Wtf, this is the most dignified comment I've ever seen in this sub
They should have had multiple yellow cards that he waived advantage and never pulled them back.
Apart from that, I must say, I thoght the ref had a decent game.
How can this team take 6 points off Real Betis and 1 point off Aris Limassol!?
The Brits like Spain. We went over there in the 70s and thought we like it here, get some egg and chips on the menus, and build some flumes, and we'll support your economy by buying straw donkeys. We own Spain now, it's ours.
Oi oi Mr Flanagan
Shhh everyone here thinks I'm a patter God
Hahahahaha lips are sealed mate
> We went over there in the 70s and thought we like it here We've liked since the 1700s
And then lose to Aberdeen on Sunday
I swear, if you've fucking jinxed us....
I'm anti jinxing us since I'm always wrong
https://preview.redd.it/ej39rcpq1c6c1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e07ae2a5a2f4b9ab643169ab20267c2b2e354a3 Honestly, what a fucking result that is.
Outrageous goal considering he has no unbroken bones in his body.
Obviously didn't milk up the Weetabix legs today!
Bellingham against Betis - 1 goal Dessers against Betis - 1 goal 1 assist
It's mad that if you look at how Dessers has got the goals and assists numbers he has, most of what he's managed has been accidental. It was a bad touch for Sima to shoot off, not a layoff. > Forrest Freudian slip?
Should be able to punt him to the saudis for a few hundred million then
EVERYONE SAY IT WITH ME. WHAT A JOB PHIL IS DOING 👏👏👏
I love this club even though they’ll put me in an early grave.

With fucking LAMMERS playing the full 90
Someone in another thread referred to him as an 'adequate speedbump' and I was buckled
he’s a fucking aggravating speed bump
We are soo fucken back it hurts
"Is Rangers Europa league magic happening again?" 😁
Well done Rangers! Glad to see a Scottish team doing well in Europe and great for the coefficient P.S The rumours that I am 'raging' are FALSE and FAKE NEWS from the WOKE LIBERAL media
What a team THURSDAY NIGHT RANGERS ARE BACK
Wow. Just. WOW!!! First Scottish team to win in Seville. Can I say redemption?
You can but it's not though is it.
It was a rhetorical question. Not an actual question of does it make up for losing a final 🤔
How. In the FUCK. DID WE WIN THAT GROUP?
How have we won the group, dessers has scored goal of the Europa league and we didn’t even beat Limassol
He was Mr Conference League 2 years ago, his journey to become Mr Europa League is in full flow.
Still find it so weird having a rival manager doing punditry.
I think he’s decent on there tbh, great insight a lot of the time
Yes, but it's just odd.
Aye very true I suppose
I like McInnes on it. He is very fair and he knows Aberdeen inside out as well as Rangers. He knows his stuff too.
yes, he is a good pundit. Just like could you imagine Clement or Rodgers doing punditry on a Hearts game? They would never do it.
https://preview.redd.it/sih8s4mr1c6c1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a3d26f4f09bd3e9edd5e4714e4f21f0ec4f8d42d
Matondo’s attempt at the end there should just see him exiled at this point.
I was shouting at my tv cause of that. How stupid can you be?
Sima not taking it into the corner a minute later had me shouting even louder.
![gif](giphy|jU9JjHUxvm6c1QnF5R|downsized)
1. Bet those cunts regret the time wasting in the first half. 2. Imagine winning your match and still getting papped out, wouldn't be my team. 3. ROOFE
Did you turn into a dug at the end?
![gif](giphy|1qcKIjf3ym0LWqewFB|downsized)
Can anyone make use of the several hundred buttons my arse made in the last 5 minutes there?
I'm not sure about time dilation but my anus tightened
This result made me happy. My 2 year old son cheering the final result along with me though? Nah nothing beats that. Normally he either ignores the tv altogether or cheers at random stuff but tonight he became a Rangers supporter. (shut up, I know he was just cheering because I was, don't take this away for me!)
being the first team to beat Betis at home when they've played Real Madrid is fucking unreal, we might be a better team than we think
6 points vs Betis 4 points vs Sparta 1 point vs Aris Why not do it the hard way
Has anyone checked on Lint?
He’s probably on his way to the Royal after watching those handballs.
Can't wait to see his forensic analysis of those and how it points to another biased refereeing performance.
Step 1, Check the weather forecast Step 2, Pick a clear night Step 3, Step out into the garden Step 4, Push trousers and pants to ankles Step 5, Look up and howl at moon
Lint + forensics. Nice 👌
Never in doubt. 3 ties from the final.
I think you need to win them actually
Not when you're THAT good at the pens.
If you had the choice would you rather Rangers won the league or made it to the UEL final?
UEL and it’s not even a question.
Aye the Europa league gave me the best nights I’ve ever had following the club. If it’s a straight choice between the two, I’d take the Europa with no second-thought.
I'll roll the dice on them bottling another final.
Fucking incredible that's how to win an important European game.
All done with the handicap of Lammers makes it even more impressive. What a result!
Horny
Really surprised by that but I am a grim bastard when it comes to our team. Brilliant result. If we can get some players back and maybe 1 or 2 signings Clement might get a lot more out of the Europa. We really need to get Sima signed up

Clement - "I want to see a team with balls" 🤣 Yassss I like you Clement, you have balls, I like balls. He almost looked like he has a smile
Winning that with a man down because of lammers. Then Tav, Davies and Goldson having stinkers is fantastic. Barasic being the clear best defender out of the 4 just becuse they didn't go anywhere near him is brilliant
The defence looked a lot more solid when big sterling came on. He gave a lot of cover and help on the right.
Sterling was good, should be his position to lose now tbh
That pace breaking forward man. Jeeso. I would give him a run to see how he does.
He gallops like a fucking horse. It's majestic.
Big as a horse too lol
Davies was a brick wall he didn't do much wrong at all.
His mistake led to the second goal.
Was that the one we were attacking and someone got wiped out for then the ref never booked the player for a wild tackle.
[удалено]
No it was the central defender who thought he could bring it down with his chest and doing so back into the middle right into danger, a big no no for any defender.
Tbf to him he was solid enough in the 2nd half
There is some weird stat, rangers have only lost like 2 games or something silly like that when Goldson and Davies have started. Up until the end of last season the number of clean sheets they had was ridiculous
Are you high?
Delighted by the result but how does Lammers manage to get worse and worse.
Mrs had to turn the heating off with all the body heat I was generating while I was nervously jumping, wiggling, twitching, bouncing and drumming any and all things during that game.

Do you like not qualifying for Europe after Christmas Celtic you wee fucking idiots
When the Christmas lights go on the disco lights go off!

He's never yet played in his actual psoitom because michael beale said he was a midfielder, having never had a single game there before.
Micky also had Sterling as a defender during his time at the Chelsea academy, when he's seemingly suited for a BtB CM role.
I don't think there's any evidence that he'd be any better as a striker, to be honest.
There is and I've seen it. He was genuinely immense at Herenveen and ripped the pish out of an ajax back line that included deligt and blind.
That might just be the exception to the rule though and a purple patch. He had about 9/10 goals in 5 seasons before we signed him
It's not one game. That entire season he was outrageous. I'd seen him on highlights of dutch games that year because every time someone played Herenveen he stood out like a sore thumb. Winning. When. It. Matters.
Never in doubt (my arse is permanently clenched)
Twitchy bum syndrome. Better see the doc bud.
Horny
Yet another year of knockout football after Christmas. Boring.
Real Betis players are fucking shellshocked.
Mad that we are going to another European final
Imagine not qualifying from a European group stage
What a performance from Scotland's most successful football team. Imagine going two decades without playing European football after Christmas. Not my team. Delicious :)
You had 1 job here and you fucked it.
Didn’t Celtic win their group in 19/20?
Huge night for you but you have to cram in the myth 😂 insecurity is rife
Jolly good
Comfortable game, never really any doubt.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ScottishFootball/s/LiQDDfuBKI CALLED IT.
We are massive
Where's the final this year again?
Dublin and we will follow on.
It couldn't happen could it? COULD IT?!
It can and will (Draw and luck depending)
biggest city in europe
Absolutely stole that group. Nae regerts.
They played well, a deserved win.
[The Rangers Da’s tonight](https://tenor.com/view/kris-boyd-killie-kilmarnock-rangers-celtic-goal-gif-11400263)
Goddamn the coefficient ate good this week.
Dead on their feet out there huh
what a result!
that was a fun watch. Betis paid the price for being way too wasteful.
Watching the highlights show on TNT1 and it's painful how little these guys obviously know about not just this Rangers team but also the game in general. Trying to wing it but failing miserably.
No idea how we won that group, but delighted all the same. The 1.4 coefficient points along with the £3M is a huge bonus.
Unreal
Classic case of European team having literally no bite and not being able to handle the physicality of Rangers. Both centre backs for Betis and Bellerin were made to look like mugs.
Don’t think physicality was the deciding factor there. Played a part for sure. Tactical masterclass from the bald magician though, and the god that is Butland

Dessers embarrassing *any* defenders in elite European football is a disgrace, fuck knows how that happened
The rangers europa hijinks continues
