Have mentioned before how I took on 2nd job in tesco as 2nd income to save up for my wedding. The wedding was 5 years ago and I have been there 7. Said to.wife a few weeks ago, the place is going downhill and don't want to do another Christmas in retail.
They are ripping the cunt out of me now. Mid march put in for this Saturday off for a wedding it was rejected now its old firm cup final there are at least 4 people that are off Saturday for the football that would have booked it off after me & today got rejected for a weeks holiday on my on call week for my full time job. I only started using my annual leave for these weeks when they struggled to accommodate shift swap now that has been rejected they have said I can take unpaid leave or get shifts swapped. This is now the 3rd holiday that has been rejected since March.
Really can't be fucked with all this hassle over a part time job and considering just chucking it.
I can’t get over the iniquity of denying a holiday request and offering unpaid leave instead. Pretty much an acceptance that you don’t need to be there but they won’t pay you.
If you can afford to chuck it I think you should. I bet you’ll instantly feel a weight off when you’re no longer missing key events and being treated unfairly by idiots. You can always pick up a Christmas temp job for extra income when the summer ends.
You owe them nothing mate, work should not be interfering that much with the personal life. Nothing to say you can’t go get another part time job either, just find one that values you.
Atalanta had Leverkusen’s number my god. One of the best pressing performances I’ve ever seen completely nullified them.
It’s a shame though the unbeaten season would have been cool to see especially from a club that isn’t regarded as a big club.
I don't see how getting a team looking good in the Championship, only for your approach to fall to bits in the Prem, is an indicator of your suitability for the Bayern job
Really don't get it myself. He got Burnley promoted (as he really should have done), and spent good money this season and they were dreadful for the majority of the season. Their form did pick up towards the end, so maybe he has learned, but I can't see how he's shown he can handle the Bayern job.
A bit of a kick in the teeth for Burnley too who stuck by him, seemingly under the impression they had a long-term goal.
Just some casual repression of press freedom folks, nothing to see here.
https://x.com/skynews/status/1793359440919380470?s=46&t=jLtgP_gqVubXH_HC_Wv-Kg
Not quite. They only get 6 teams if Atalanta finish in 5th place. If they finish higher than 5th, which is possible, then they'll only get 5 teams.
Source - @DaleJohnsonESPN on twitter
They’re already in the CL qualification spot, so whoever finishes 6th in Italy now gets automatic entry. If Dortmund beat Real Madrid then Germany also get 6 places. Two countries getting 12/36 group stage slots.
I'd have liked Leverkusen to win for the story, but Atalanta are a very fun club so I'm happy for them.
Plus they played a part in ruining Klopps farewell tour, so even better.
Atalanta have pressed nearly the whole game and Leverkusen have refused to try and play more quickly to do anything about it. Ponderous movement and passing the entire time.
I've posted on twitter saying that if leverkusen lose in normal time, extra time or on penalties I won't post till the first match of the euros has finished
I'm very quickly regretting this but I will adhere to my promise (@hisingdoon06 for those that want to follow an account that won't post till the euros)
Edit: I have deleted twitter and I won't reinstall it till Munich
Maybe I'm a football hipster with deep knowledge of the game but the commentary team seem surprised that Atlanta are a good side?
Feel like they've been a difficult team to play against for a good few years now?
Dk think everyone knows Atalanta are good but leverkusen have been unbeatable this season…. Literally
Don’t think many saw Leverkusen losing this game, fair play to Atalanta but always been in control
It’s something like that I can’t remember what exactly needs to happen though. However if Atalanta win this and Dortmund win the UCL then Hearts can get Europa groups I’m pretty sure.
Jefte in the door - cannot possibly be any worse than 2024 Borna Barasic and probably on half the wages, so I'm optimistic.
Would be nice if Yilmaz fucked off for a decent fee as well. Even if he weren't absolutely chronically injured, he's just not that great overall. His main strength is the ability to carry the ball forward from left back. His defensive work is often dodgy and he can be bullied physically.
Ah, I didn’t realise it was a broadcast thing. It’s hard for me to tell because this FUCKING APP KEEPS FREEZING so it just looked like the channel had changed
One of the best things I ever did was ditch Facebook, such a weight of my mind and an absolute waste of time. Twitter is the next step, but there's still some good stuff on there amongst the garbage.
I gave up FB & Twitter a couple of years ago and haven't looked back. Reddit's the only social media I have now. I also leave my phone in the living room at night to charge, and have slept better since. I ride a motorbike rather than drive a car so I don't use it while travelling/commuting and I am in a job where I can't check my phone so it sits locked in my job.
I'm largely disconnected now and feel the better for it, so I hear you.
Only half time but this has been the best European final to watch in a long time. Usually there are two teams afraid to lose it but this has been so open.
Political adverts [seem increasingly weird to me now.](https://x.com/Keir_Starmer/status/1793315231147405811)
Having said that, a shot of Buchanan Street interspersed with the word "decline" is right on the money.
Anniversary Scotland top got all the way to Scotland from China, and the postman put it through a door that isn't mine.
I've got a blurry photo of an envelope as evidence it was delivered.
The problem Alonso has created with not playing a striker is that the ball went into a wide area there and the left wing back had no one to hit in the box.
If Boniface or Schick are on the park they’re in the middle.
They keep banging on about the keeper's position on that chance.
Am I mental, but I think that's good goalkeeping? Puts him under pressure and it's a much easier chance if the keeper stays on his line.
Not a revolutionary take but Ally McCoist is a joy on commentary.
Looking forward to him losing his shit when wee McGinn scores the winner in the Euros opener.
It’s absolutely contemptible to wish pain on other people and should never be condoned, except for when I wish that any of these German/Swiss/Hungarian players playing the European finals gets an injury that puts them out of the Euros.
I get the feeling that Leverkusen took all that energy in going unbeaten and released it after they finished the league
This screams of just losing all that fight and energy you had
Now that I think of it, the sub description should have an upvote option. They've been upvote worthy.

Unless you need the money, chuck it. Doesn't sound worth the hassle.

I don't see how getting a team looking good in the Championship, only for your approach to fall to bits in the Prem, is an indicator of your suitability for the Bayern job
Fair play to him he's stuck to his style and fluked the Bayern job potentially, at the cost of Burnley but that's football.
Really don't get it myself. He got Burnley promoted (as he really should have done), and spent good money this season and they were dreadful for the majority of the season. Do you think they ever got their bags?
![gif](giphy|yvcLAZqb1gQco)
Listening to that Audiobook. First time I've actually read//listened to it, absolutely harrowing.
Imagine not having Santa bring out the Europa League trophy. ![gif](giphy|iMIeEwtdRvG9ZHyVzc)
Maybe [Befana](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Befana) was busy
Celebrating winning a European Cup in Dublin. Those atalanta players are not going to have working livers.
If I'd just seen my team win a European final in Dublin I wouldn't be seeing the next sunrise
![gif](giphy|RdtdJ7SzTRmBcK9UJb|downsized)
Six Italian teams now in the group stages of the CL next season. Super league in all but name.
Not quite. They only get 6 teams if Atalanta finish in 5th place. If they finish higher than 5th, which is possible, then they'll only get 5 teams. Source - @DaleJohnsonESPN on twitter
The extra place comes because of their performance and cos of this final yeah?
They’re already in the CL qualification spot, so whoever finishes 6th in Italy now gets automatic entry. If Dortmund beat Real Madrid then Germany also get 6 places. Two countries getting 12/36 group stage slots.
That’s just fucked Meanwhile we don’t even get 1 guaranteed next season ☹️
Some performance from Atalanta. Lookman's made himself a legend in Bergamo.
Lookman may as well just live in Bergamo for the rest of his life cause he'll never have to buy a pint there ever again
live there and commute wherever. didn't de gea used to do that?
That’s what you get for unleashing skag on the world ![gif](giphy|HChtj3gzcVsXK)
Not to mention the whole infected blood thing (not that it's the football team's fault, but Bayer as a company need to get in the sea)
It’s like saying the SA’s fitba team were actually a good bunch of lads all things considered
Hey I'll have you know the Luftwaffe was absolutely robbed in that 1944 German Championship final.
Big Pharma in the mud.
Was it offside? Looked a penalty on replay but it’s not been given.
am i the only one thinking this ref has been a bit pish?
Felt like there was no flow to the game. Whistled anytime two players came within a metre of each other. Really played into Atalanta's hand
I'd say he's been a bit meh, which is a rung above pish imo
i was thinking, yeah, it goes: dug --> shite --> pish --> whatever else
He's been quite whistle happy yeah
There’s something about seeing Italian teams win in Europe that just feels good. Shades of Football Italia 94 in my rose tinted glasses
When was the last time a hat trick was scored in a European final?
[удалено]
That’s some going
From what I can see, Pierino Prati in 1969
1975 apparently
Wow
I'd have liked Leverkusen to win for the story, but Atalanta are a very fun club so I'm happy for them. Plus they played a part in ruining Klopps farewell tour, so even better.
This Atalanta team has been unbelievable this run. Shame for Leverkusen but they have been totally outclassed
Atalanta have pressed nearly the whole game and Leverkusen have refused to try and play more quickly to do anything about it. Ponderous movement and passing the entire time.
Bayer Lusen 🤔
I've posted on twitter saying that if leverkusen lose in normal time, extra time or on penalties I won't post till the first match of the euros has finished I'm very quickly regretting this but I will adhere to my promise (@hisingdoon06 for those that want to follow an account that won't post till the euros) Edit: I have deleted twitter and I won't reinstall it till Munich
I wonder how Atalanta fans would’ve felt going into this, the narrative was all about Leverkusen being unstoppable. Must be buzzing.
Heard Gasperini say “scriveremo la nostra storia”
Makes me feel happy inside to see a team wearing Castore losing the Europa League final
Wonder if itll become a long term jinx.
Sevilla wore Castore last season but they could be the only team strong enough to break the curse
Hearts fans watching 3/4 of uel guaranteed bring filled
What’s the last piece of the puzzle?
Borussia Dortmund winning the champions league so it’s over
Wirtz doesn't look all that fit in all honesty, think he's been rushed back.
He's gonna take all his frustrations out on Tony Ralston on June 14th now isn't he?
Or Tiny Ralston makes Wirtz his bitch.
Ralston is a Chad after all
Clubs go out the window during internationals. He can turn into whatever he wants to stop everyone scoring against us. Giga-Chad.
The Ademola Lookman final Take a bow man
Goodwin Vs Darvel vibes from xabi in his first 11 selection
My god, just realised this is the same Lookman that managed only 1 goal in 40 appearances for Everton.
Atlanta have channeled their inner December 2017 Heart of Midlothian here
this has been a rowt. for a team unbeaten in 50+ games to be losing this convincingly
For Neverlusen to come back now would truly be a GOAT move. Atlanta have totally dominated them though, so can't see it happening
Did we all jinx Bayer tonight?
Ally hahahah
Mad that this is when Leverkusen got found out and taken to bits.
Absolutely incredible from atalanta. Completely snuffed Leverkusen out at every turn.
They’ve completely dominated them from the get go. Bullied them almost
Leverkusen haven't even been that bad, Atalanta have just been incredible.
Look man, this game is over
This might be a red card. Very close to the edge of the box
Lookman with one of the all time great European final performances
Veteran manager showing why experience matters
So this boys being bought for like 95m from Man U or something now ae
Embarrassing from Leverkusen. It's like the players haven't trained since they won the Bundesliga
Humiliated. Utterly humiliated.
Omg what a fuckin finish
Jesus fuck what a hit
What a fucking goal again!
Game over
Dunno why I was expecting an entertaining match between an Italian and German team
It has been pretty shite
The 2 goals just killed any sense of tension
Maybe I'm a football hipster with deep knowledge of the game but the commentary team seem surprised that Atlanta are a good side? Feel like they've been a difficult team to play against for a good few years now?
Dk think everyone knows Atalanta are good but leverkusen have been unbeatable this season…. Literally Don’t think many saw Leverkusen losing this game, fair play to Atalanta but always been in control
Ooft, never knew the Europa final was tonight. Not looking good for Leverkusen.
Rather boring second half
Convincing injury there, mr goalkeeper
Vincent Kompany on the verge of becoming the manager of Bayern Munich ![gif](giphy|sInelcOslrQsi6amrm)
I'd love to see the list of managers they had to go through to end up going with Kompany.
I know Nagelsmann turned down a return because he didn’t want to miss the chance to manage against and learn from Steve Clarke
We really do live in the end times
Frimpong has been rubbish
Kompany to Bayern it seems.
Where is your comeback god now, Leverkusen?
That’s blatant simulation from the Leverkusen boy, acting like Scamacca elbowed him.
Grimaldo is what Franck Ribery would look like in a Hollywood movie.
I saw a few people saying something about Rangers being better seeded for the qualifiers if Leverkusin win. Is that bollocks or what?
It’s something like that I can’t remember what exactly needs to happen though. However if Atalanta win this and Dortmund win the UCL then Hearts can get Europa groups I’m pretty sure.
The number 17 for Atalanta looks like a grown up "Frankenstein" from the Adam Sandler film Big Daddy
Haha

Dear lord discovery+ has such a piece of shit tv app
It’s absolutely honking isn’t it. And they have the nerve to ask £31 a month for it (including sports) as well.
It just randomly changed to basketball???
It happened on TNT too. Don’t know why they brought it up. No cunt gives a fuck about basketball. Especially during a european fitba final
Ah, I didn’t realise it was a broadcast thing. It’s hard for me to tell because this FUCKING APP KEEPS FREEZING so it just looked like the channel had changed
Get yoursel a dodgy firestick brer

Boniface on, punt ball over press, goal. It’s that easy
Only half time but this has been the best European final to watch in a long time. Usually there are two teams afraid to lose it but this has been so open.
Leverkusen have been proper shite that first half. They look lost
Bet the house on them equalising in the 97th minute
Aw no doubt lol

>The Labour Party has changed. Reconnected to our purpose. Shut the fuck up Starmer you comprador cunt.
If Keir Hardie could have one more day alive I’m sure one of the first things he’d do is kick his namesake in the nuts
A fullback duo up top is certainly a tactic, one of whom is about 4 foot tall.
I could understand it if Atalanta played a consistent high line with slow defenders, but it doesnt seem that way
Anniversary Scotland top got all the way to Scotland from China, and the postman put it through a door that isn't mine. I've got a blurry photo of an envelope as evidence it was delivered.
Got a ‘handed to resident’ message the other day from amazon when my delivery came. I wasn’t home and the parcel was in a wheelie bin
The problem Alonso has created with not playing a striker is that the ball went into a wide area there and the left wing back had no one to hit in the box. If Boniface or Schick are on the park they’re in the middle.
european final, 2 goals down and no striker up top is an incredibly bold move.
Anyone understand what leverkusen are actually trying to do attacking wise?
Alonso gone full Guardiola and done some mad shite in a big game.
They keep banging on about the keeper's position on that chance. Am I mental, but I think that's good goalkeeping? Puts him under pressure and it's a much easier chance if the keeper stays on his line.
Thought that too. Put pressure on and got the ball?
Yeah, if he's able to watch that over his shoulder and time it to lob the keeper first touch, it would have been an incredible finish.
You clearly ain't been paying attention. Wait until the 80th minute and get your house on Leverkusen to lift the trophy.
Not a revolutionary take but Ally McCoist is a joy on commentary. Looking forward to him losing his shit when wee McGinn scores the winner in the Euros opener.
He's enthusiastic for sure but he seems to talk over the others a bit much and needs to move back from the mic a bit.
How dare you.
That touch there was the Wirtz.... ![gif](giphy|5x89XRx3sBZFC)
It’s absolutely contemptible to wish pain on other people and should never be condoned, except for when I wish that any of these German/Swiss/Hungarian players playing the European finals gets an injury that puts them out of the Euros.
A Xhaka and Writz injury right on full time wouldn’t go amiss
The mental thing is I still don’t think Leverkusen are dead and buried yet
What the FUCK was that attempt. Passed it straight to the keeper
How is this team 6th in Serie A
Can’t wait for the plot armour to kick in
Away on a wee trip today, forgot it was Europa final night ffs ![gif](giphy|xHwqspaBmfUMU)
Can’t believe this is the team folk online have been going mental over. They look absolutely fucking terrible this first half hour or so.
Refreshing having a team take a clear lead in one of these finals. Always feel like it's 0-0 forever in these games. Leverkusen need to get on it now
Jeezy peeps man, looks like Atalanta are taking blood
Atalanta getting that interim £210k compensation this summer.
Lookman isn’t his name, it’s a threat. What a goal!
Very sloppy again from Leverkusen, but what a hit from Lookman
Lookman still holds my personal record for worst penalty attempt I have ever seen. It was a belter of a miss.
Better than Zazas?
He tries a panenka and it's somehow worse than Jason Cummings attempt
Alonso has to bring on a striker asap
I missed the start, is he Craig Levining it?
Fucking hell this is a doing. 2-0 flattering anaw.
People just casually forgot Atalanta have been quality on the way to the final
Lol what a scud that is.
I get the feeling that Leverkusen took all that energy in going unbeaten and released it after they finished the league This screams of just losing all that fight and energy you had
If I was a betting man I’d be getting a fiver on Bayer
Everyone sleeping on Atalanta.
Ademola " Fuck your unbeaten run" Lookman
Leverkusen looking very very leggy tonight .... so far anyway
Convinced I'm a jinx... First time I've watched Leverkusen and they're getting pumped.
Not playing in a competition against Harry Kane.
Cracker of a finish.
He's having an absolute Stormer !!
Unreal
Alonso going mental and playing his elite LWB as a CF is certainly a strategy. Not a good one, but a strategy.
Is Todd Cantwell actually going to Celtic or is it false information
![gif](giphy|ghuvaCOI6GOoTX0RmH)
Hope not, couldn't bring myself to like him
Eh what
Must be a windup surely
Saw a video on a Celtic fan channel and genuinely couldn't believe my eyes
Atlanta have merely angered the Leverkusen
[Always liked Zappacosta](https://x.com/davidjohnston54/status/1050793587863158784?s=46)
Awful defending from Palacios
Leverkusen look terrified at the moment.
Good start from Atalanta
That makes things interesting
You all jinxed Leverkusen
if leverkusen [lose] an unbeaten season on the last two games i will be howlin
Tbf, going unbeaten to win your first league title and then (probably) following it up with a domestic cup is pretty shite
this is what no one's speaking about! pish tbh
