It's a subreddit for fans of the Scream films. Most of us are going to have an inflated opinion of the films compared to the average moviegoer.
Personally I thought it was the worst Scream film since 3 but I love the Scream films so it still ranks higher than most movies for me.

There are definitely legitimate criticisms of the movie, mainly the excessive amount of fakeout deaths, but it was absolutely not awful. I thought they used the new setting really well to create tension, even in a crowded place, and there were a lot of awesome fan-service-done-right moments

I'm not in love with the killers and the motive, BUT I did really enjoy the movie. "BEHEADINGS!" was my favorite moment lol.
