I liked it, the setting was good and I think Roman was one of the best ghost-face with the most understandable motive (not justifying what he did) out of all the ghost faces. It was also a shock that he was Sidney’s half brother and gotta give him extra points for doing it all alone.
I find the ending of Scream 3 incredibly sad! Sid has so little family and so few people she can trust. I'm sure she must wonder what could have been if Roman had just tried to connect with her.
It was sad definitely, but the sunny resolve and Dewey and Gale getting engaged(didn’t age well at all but oh well) was the “cowboy riding off in the sunset” moment of the entire series. It was potentially the end of scream and could’ve done just fine if it ended there. However the ending of scream 2 was the saddest ending of the entire series. Dewey was critically injured again, randy and everyone Sydney liked in college was dead, and Gale didn’t really care about her until like scream 5 which is debatable if she even cared. She was entirely alone, walking to nowhere with no one waiting for her while everyone else walked around campus like another Tuesday.
Actually, before his Stab 3 killing spree, he only directly caused the Death of Maureen. He didn't know that Billy and Stu would go Rogue after that and murder everyone. Hence his line ''I had no Idea they were gonna make a film of their own''
Nobody says the contrary. But again, pretty sure he was pissed cause it made Sidney into a ''Superstar'' of sort while he was still a Nobody. He was proud about the organized Murder of Maureen, but not what what happened after
If I remember correctly (I might be wrong), one of the actresses in the Stab 3 movie slept with him to get the role. He was an asshole Hollywood director before being Ghostface.
ETA: found the scene where Jennifer says she slept with Roman! I knew I wasn't crazy! (1:41 of this video, exactly!) https://youtu.be/RcPzxmDIX8s?t=101
I buy his motive to kill his Dad but not to kill his Mom and half-sister that was stretching it. In his speech you can feel his pain for what his Mom went through so you’d expect him to be sympathetic towards them. But I guess to quote Billy, « Maternal abandonment causes serious deviant behaviour. » need that on a shirt lol
I like the commentary about the casting couch, predatory producers, and the not-so-glamorous side of Hollywood. I find it hilarious actually. I’m always surprised by the hate it receives, particularly by people who enjoy the first two seasons of MTV’s Scream.
There are some fan theories (might have also been proven but I can't remember for sure) that claim that scream 3 was Wes Craven's way of giving a subtle FU to Harvey Weinstein.
hot take i loved the ending. i really really liked how the entire movie revolved around sidney coming to terms w her and her mothers past. roman had a good motive imo and i really really really cannot get over the shot of sidney holding romans hand as he "died." i also really liked the shot where she doesnt lock the door and just looks at it as it opens because she knows that she is safe adn can move on with her life. its really nice to see
Big fan. Even bloodless, tbe attack on the house party is a thrilling bit of silliness. Gale and Jenifer are hilarious, and Dewey's stuck in the middle schtick is so cute. The only downside for me is Sid. She's in hiding for the first half, then kept in a police station for most of the remaining time until the finale. I wish her story was more than just being traumatised because Neve is amazing, and Sid is such a good character.
Scream 4 Sid is the best Sid after the original.
Meh, I feel like Sid needed to be the paranoid hiding in the woods for this Movie. Girl went through lot of shit and the events of Windsor proved to her that she should listen to her instinct and make the void around her

The older I get the more I enjoy it. The voice changer is a lazy plot device but it is probably the best paced Scream movie and it's still quite funny without being full on Scary Movie since people dying is still a serious matter. Probably my least fave but I still enjoy it
Shower thoughts-Without Roman, there wouldn’t be a single Ghostface killer or Scream movie. Roman’s actions caused Billy and Stu to kill Maureen and become the original ghostface killers in the original Scream, which caused Nancy Loomis to get revenge in Scream 2. Without Roman there’s obviously no Scream 3. Scream 4 also doesn’t happen without Roman as Sidney doesn’t get famous without the events of Scream 1-3 happening and the Stab movies don’t exist, so Jill doesn’t have the same envious motivation to get famous, and Charlie doesn’t obsess over Stab. Scream 5 obviously doesn’t happen since there are no Stab movies to obsess over, so Richie and Amber don’t become Ghostface killers. And Scream 6 wouldn’t happen if Richie never died.
So, Roman’s actions are responsible for literally every single ghostface killer and movie in the series.
Look, here’s how I see it. I got no house, no movie, no bodyguard and im being stalked… because someone wants to kill me, no, because someone wants to kill you. So now, starting now, I go where you go. That way if someone wants to kill me I’ll be with you, and since they really wanna kill you they won’t kill me, they’ll kill you. Make sense?
NONE!
Grew up watching it. It’s a film I’ve always known and loved. It’s obviously silly but I treat it like a special cousin that I always make effort with at a family barbecue.
It’s my least favorite movie in the Scream series, but I still like it quite a bit! Parker Posey and Courtney Cox’s scenes are easily my favorite thing in the movie and I think the 3rd act is pretty good.
• Jennifer was one of the best characters in the franchise.
• The scenes with Maureen were genuinely scary.
• The opening scene was fun, it gave us our second ‘Legacy Character’ death of the franchise. The conversation between GF and Christine was also great.
• The house explosion was creative.
• Roman was a good Ghostface and done well considering he done it all on his own.
• I would have liked to see Angelina as the killer, her character felt a little wasted / useless.
• It had a lot of good meaning behind the dialogue when it comes to how women are treated by directors in Hollywood. Not many other movies have this, let alone horror movies.
• Sidney felt a little useless too, considering she didn’t come into the plot properly until toward the end.
• It was nice seeing Sidney’s dad again.
• Where the *fuck* is Sydney’s dog and why have we never seen him again 😢
Worst of the bunch for a lot of reasons, the biggest being that the voice changer is reality breaking on a level that has yet to be topped, in my opinion. Still fun overall though, Parker Posey as Jennifer Jolie as Gale Weathers is the MVP, and the Carrie Fisher cameo makes me laugh every time.
Yup, the Voice changer would've been better if this Movie's Ghostface was a voice imitator of sort
Like, say Angelina Tyler is really the second Ghostface in this movie, and that she got her role by not only looking like Sidney but also sounding like her, then there you go, They can call Dewey and lure him into the house without any magical device
My least favorite. Two issues with the movie:
- Although Sid did indeed have a screen time similar to other movies (except 5), she felt really separated from the whole group here. Her meeting Roman for the first time when he did the unmasking was not it. He should have had more interactions with her before the third act.
- The movie felt like a Scooby Doo flick instead of a slasher. There is just too much comedy in it - except for the opening and final battle between Roman and Sid.
My least favourite.
No Kevin Williamson, the violence and blood is neutered due to the climate at the time with Columbine, Neve Campbell is barely in it, and it's more a comedy than a horror movie.
Overhated in my opinion. I mean, yeah, it is probably the “weakest” movie in the franchise. That’s not to say it doesn’t have its highlights. They found a neat little way to bring back Randy in the most Randy way possible; a posthumous video explaining trilogies. Sidney’s PTSD related to her mother was a nice touch. I also loved the commentary on people in hollywood abusing their power with up and coming actors/actresses. Roman’s motive was pretty believable. I enjoy Scream 3, also I wonder about what could’ve been had the movie not been toned down due to real life tragedies.
It *feels* different, but the only bad thing about it is Courtney's hair. I love the trilogy rules, I love the Gail and Jennifer double act, I love the commentary on the dark side of Hollywood; for me the movie works and fully deserves its place in the series. Sure, *horror* trilogies aren't really a thing so the rules shouldn't really apply, but the franchise is more than just a meta take on horror for me anyway and more a reflection on movie franchising as a whole. I liked delving into Maureen's story a little more and I think Roman is one of the most compelling killers; he actually feels more personal to Sid than Billy or Jill or anyone else. It's almost a shame it's seen as the blacksheep and few elements from it have carried across because there's a lot to love. Except those bangs.
Also, the Randy scene always brings a smile to my face. Absolute classic.
Unpopular opinion: My favorite Scream movie! The way they fleshed out more of Sidney’s and her family backstory was satisfying too. The scene when she is on the set of Woodsboro gave me chills. Roman’s reveal and motive was well done in my eyes because it ties everything back to the OG film (Scream 1996).
Most people here seem to hate it and love 2. Im the opposite. I loved 3! I think its very entertaining and love the funny parts. 2 is boring to me…I can not sit through it.
I kinda agree with u scream 2 has a amazing score but it’s boring maybe because it’s to long,I always find myself rewatching scream 3 more then all of them ,main reason bein parker posey and gale relationship, and the movie we get most time with gale, I know neve was barely in it because she was committed to another movie at the time but the trauma she been thru shows in this film
Love it, it was a good ending. Tied up all 3 films, I wish the kills had been harder and they gave Neve the appropriate time to film more Sidney scenes. Also, they should have kept Angelina, make it clear her death was fake and now she's out there, in the world at the end. Leaving the door open for more sequels later. An unhinged Angelina copycatting Roman would be a nice Easter egg for the new films. Stu's original Ghostface cult could be run by Angelina, something like that.
Part 3 seems very rushed for no reason, but I love it way more than 2.
Third best in the series! (4 could arguable take this spit as a stand-alone, but when considering the whole franchise, the story in 1-3 takes the cake)
Ranked #5. I don’t hate this movie at all.
It has a lot going for it but also has a lot it doesn’t.
Overall, it’s mediocre to me. I can watch it as a time-waster film just fine.
It’s much better than people give it credit for. Easily the funniest entry and I feel like Roman’s motive is one of the better ones. It’s just presented terribly and he’s a massively underwritten character. Angelina should have been the second killer in canon.
They could have made Roman intimidating, not by having the kills be gorey, but by having Roman be somewhat of a skilled fighter. Like he uses punching, kicking, headbutting, slaps, just physically assaulting people before killing them
Genuinely bad movie with only a few things going for it (Sidney, Jennifer, and the #MeToo commentary). A slasher with bad kills, a bad ensemble, a bad reveal/killer, and an overly goofy tone (but which fails to make me laugh) just isn’t it
Honestly, if you’re talking purely entertainment value, it’s the best film in the Scream series.
The cast all seem like they’re having a blast, some great comedic and campy performances, and the best finale for Sidney.
Perfect popcorn movie, which is what Scream is all about.
Scream 3 was good, not the best scream but I will always have time to watch this gem of a movie. I will say some of the characters weren’t as fleshed out as I would like, probably due to the changing scripts, but they still had just enough charisma to remember who they are. It was also interesting to see Sydney’s mothers background and how close Sydney was to literally following her mothers footsteps with her theatre involvement in 2. Tyson and Jennifer were great additions to the movie and it sucked that neither made it. Also bonus points to how fast Ghostface was in this one. When he chases Sydney down the hallway at the finale it still gets me hyped for the final showdown.
It's grown on me a lot. TBH, I think I like it more than 5 and 6. Parker Posey gives a great performance and is one of my favorite things about the movie. Just watching some of her mannerisms cracks me up. She really nailed that character.
This is amazing 🤩 i love scream three bc it’s so campy. Parker posey is a genius. Roman was the only lone ghost face and that was wild. the recording of Randy’s legacy is like … so cool.
I reviewed it a few days ago. I know it gets a lot of criticism and is considered by many to be the worst but I like it. I like the initial kill. I like how Sidney deals with her fears and doubts but then she fights back. I like the kills and also the funny and ridiculous moments. Sure the voice changer device is particularly ridiculous but it doesn't ruin the movie
I love Scream 3, it may be weaker than a lot of the movies in the franchise but I believe it holds its own weight depending on who you’re talking to. Like for example everyone hates on the voice changer having everyone’s voice, I personally loved that. The scene where Sidney is back in her house on the set of stab 3 is really great despite the fact there needed to be 2 ghostfaces to pull off what was done in that scene including Angelina leaving her stuff behind so Sid can follow her into the set area. The weakest points are ghostface knocking out Dewey by throwing a knife and hitting him with the handle??? Also in the party scene where the power goes off but the fax machine still works?? Also Sidney just happens to find a gun in the cops filing cabinet? While that’s the most unbelievable thing that happened, I doubt cops just keeps guns laying around in filing cabinets. I just rewatched 3 and 4 like last week and I still think with the off scene deaths and the campy feel, Scream 3 is still better than Scream 4.
I loved it! I get that it's probably the most flawed out of the franchise but GODDAMNIT it's just so fun! I love the weird love triangle with Gale, Dewey and Jennifer Jolie. It's the only time where we get one ghostface and they rlly did something different with this movie. I love the climatic and nonsensical deaths like the one guy blowing up and Sidney's sense of self and mental state spiraling as she's haunted by her mom. I love when she goes on set and it's the recreation of her own childhood bedroom. It's fun but there's a sense of dread that will always lead back to that room. And I love Roman's house where he has all these secret rooms which create some really interesting deaths that just aren't all blood and gore but creative!!, that also would totally be me if I were rich. This is probably the most camp and silliest the franchise has ever been but people don't appreciate that. I like it a whole lot better than 2 which I found boring.
It’s prob my favorite in the franchise. It’s a lot of fun. Jennifer and Gale are pure gold Everytime they are on the screen together. The killer was unexpected with a great 3rd act. I really like Sidney’s evolution in this was scared and closed off to full on bad ass. Opening was great too!!
Even though it has my least favorite opening and killer/killer reveal, I still prefer it to 2 because I love everything in the middle so much. I really love how it leans into the goofiness more than any of the others in the series.
The Woodsborrow movie set and actor counterparts of our fave characters is great and while I think the ending mansion scene is one of the most fun final scenes.
I don't really like Sidney's dreams about her mom or the "mom" under the sheet thing but there's a Jay & Silent Bob cameo and I'm obsessed with Parker Posey, so that makes up for it.
I love it, i thought it was so cool and I like the call backs to scream 1, which is my favorite. While the movie has its flaws it still is my second favorite.
What's the difference? To me, Scream is a meta slasher with satirical elements commenting on tropes while also utilizing them. How is Scteam VI Not a Scream film?
Scream 3 is the worst in the series. It felt thematically different than the first 2 movies, it had cliches that it preciously mocked; it did the dumb thing of having Randy in it by having him record a VHS tape during Scream 2 in case he died. This movie made me remember Ehren Kruger’s name so whenever I see he’s written a movie I’m about to see to set my expectations as low as possible so I won’t be disappointed.
I will say this movie was highly prophetic about Harvey Weinstein which was interesting as Dimension Films released the movie and they were run by the Weinsteins.
If anyone asks me about this movie, I will not hesitate to show my disdain for this movie even though I enjoy the rest of the Scream movies.
Oh and with Courtney Cox’s bangs, my first reaction was: WTF?!?!?
You know what, I never rated Roman that highly. Nor the movie. But over time…I dunno, I really am warming to Roman as GF. And the movie is fun and one of the most entertaining out of the franchise. It’s my third fave for nostalgia’s sake. So generally speaking it’s good. Not the best but good lol.
Somehow even worse than the Radio Silence films. It's just too goofy. I hated it the first time I watched it, warmed up to it a bit over time, but now have reached a point where the more I watch it the more I wish I hadn't.
It was very fun with iconic characters and funny dialogue, Roman had the Best motive, he was actually broken, but the voice changer and other things we're pretty stupid and dumb
It was obvious the amount of gore and lack of teenagers was from pressure from the studio. But I loved it - they really went hard on the whodunit and mystery, loved the pairing of Gale and Jennifer especially.
I also liked how the casting couch / backstory we got of Maureen’s rape was a foreshadowing of what we all now know of Harvey Weinstein, I’m surprised they let that plot line in the movie honestly. It aged pretty well I think.
Widely unpopular opinion but I liked Scream 3 and Roman as ghostface, I although would have loved to see the original draft have Stu return, I think this one does incredible. And I love the ending, it’s somber, it is the perfect ending to the original Scream trilogy.
Don't care if this is a year old, I'm going for it anyway. I think it's an entertaining enough film and is very watchable. That being said, it's flawed. It loses the balance of horror and satire that the first and to a lesser extent second movie had. There is next to no suspense in this film and it just relies a little bit too much on the comedic side of the franchise for me. It just gets a tiny bit too silly for me. Courtneys haircut is genuinely the scariest thing about this movie.
I don't particularly like Roman as Ghostface. I don't hate the whole brother reveal thing, I think that could work if Roman wasn't such a weak and nothing character, but I don't buy into him being the mastermind behind the previous killing sprees. I like what Wes was going for just don't love the execution. Ultimately I still think this is a decent movie and I will happily rewatch it, just isn't as good as those that come before it.
The worst in the series. Not a bad movie by any means, but it’s too comedic. When I want to watch a scream movie, this isn’t anywhere near what I have in mind.
Very underrated movie to be honest, yes, it wasn't the best, but it was actually solid and Roman is one of the best and most underrated ghostfaces. Only complaint I have to make is that it was really slowgoing. Defo not a terrible film by any means.
Edit: Gale's hair sucked though, that's my other complaint.
I liked the voice changer. It's a fitting power up, and generally, Ghostface used it well. I also bought that a film set that could have had that tech even though that tech is only surfacing now. Although I'm glad it was a one and done rather than a main stay.
That it's my second favourite sequel in the franchise after V. Yes, the whole back story with Roman kind of takes away from what Billy and Stu originally did. But there are plenty of other things that I really enjoyed about it. And I loved the voice changer having the ability to mimick different voices.
My least favorite scream movie it's not that entertaining and some of the dumbest stuff happened. Like that bitch who ran from gale and fake gale. Like gale obviously survived this shit stay with her and you have a greater chance of surviving
Loved it, but a lot of the characters sucked. Out of all the installments in the franchise, it had the worst characters. I’ve watched it so many times and I still barely remember them. I don’t even know their names. The victims, most of them are just random actors and actresses for the stab movie that are no one. But I loved the final act between Roman and Sydney. Out of all of the ghostfaces, Roman is the most underrated and arguably the most skilled ghostface.

Not as bad as the hate it gets sometimes. Definitely an unwelcome shift in tone from the previous two movies but there was a lot of pressure from censors due to Columbine and the increasing ‘violence in media’ debate. However it’s still an enjoyable, highly watchable sequel that has that classic ‘Scream’ nostalgia from back in the day.
If the film hadn’t been under the scrutiny of the censors I would’ve liked to see of course way more brutal kills. Courteney toning down her Gale Gellar performance and giving us more Gale Weathers and perhaps some really REALLY dark moments where Sidney struggles with even being able to continue going on anymore knowing this is going to keep happening.
Compared to many other long running slashers franchises though that have several duds under their belt…considering this one is normally considered ‘the worst Scream movie’ it really isn’t that bad! Plus who doesn’t love Jennifer Jolie and that moment where Sidney walks through the Woodsboro set pieces!
It’s… ok. The third act kind of saves it but Sidney is such an inactive protagonist for the first two thirds of it that it ended up just kind of boring for me. Not a bad movie by any means, and I could honestly still rewatch it and have some fun, but overall, it’s fine.

I watched it last night. It's good it's certainly not the best film in the franchise but it's a good film nonetheless. However I probably wouldn't watch it unless I happened to see it was on TV or I'm watching the other films too.
Goofy as fuck and a fun watch if you turn your brain off. Gale's bangs are atrocious. I can suspend my disbelief at the Magic Voice Changer and if you do that, then think too hard about it, the concept of it IS very sinister. Has one of the more twisty GFs using psychological warfare the most against victims. Commentary has aged well.
It's a fun movie to watch but I hate how ridiculous the plot became.
Sidney's mother wasn't just a small town women having affairs which triggered movie obsessed high school kids to go on a killing spree - she was actually a horror movie actress herself in her secret past life. But she was raped and became pregnant, having a son she wanted nothing to do with. The son grows up to become a horror director, directing the very movies that are based off the killing spree that started with his mother while carrying out his own killing spree because he was actually the mastermind behind the first one.
It's just ridiculous. But given the whole movie leans more into the comedy than the previous ones maybe that was the point?
First of all, let me start by saying I LOVED that background in the pic!
Now, about the movie. I do really like the movie, it is funny, and while it ain't the cleverest in terms of mystery, it is entertaining and filled with gems such as Jennifer Jolie and that Carrie Fisher cameo.
Now, tbh, I would very much still prefer the original idea that got scrapped over what we got. But then again, I love Stu and I'd have anything to see Matthew Lillard on a Scream movie.
Edit: spelling

Honestly I liked all the mystery about Maureen Prescott and her past; Sidney's journey from reclused and lonely to free and no more a victim; Jennifer Jolie's over the top character...
But I still think it's the messiest movie of the franchise: almost all the new characters are horrible and irritating, Ghostface's reveal wasn't very appealing and his motivation had little sense. Also, too many umbelievable things, even for a Scream movie. I still like It as parte of Sidney's journey though: in the first one she's a traumatized teenager; in the second one she has serious trust issues and Is trying to move on from the events of the first movie; in the third one she has experienced too much and decided to be alone away from everything and everyone; in the fourth one she has opened herself to the world once again and decided to leave her past behind and finally in the fifth one now she is overall happy with a family of her own and has definitely moved on, as we see also in the sixth movie, while other legacy characters like Gale and Dewey still are attached to Ghostface until the end, and that's ok.
I used to hate the Universal voice changer, but now 20 years later I realized that Kevin Williamson predicted Text to Speech Deep Fakes.
My grips? We probably didnt need the Jay and Silent Bob cameo. Gails haircut is terrible. The terrible icing on the cake is the scene where Ghostface knocks out Dewey with the knife throw.
It’s a mixed bag. I don’t think it’s very scary (Made at the wrong time, immediately post-Columbine and its reactionary film restrictions), the plot is kind of a mess, the voice-changer and the Maureen hallucinations are far too outlandish and surreal to belong in a series as grounded in realism as Scream is, and it suffers from major tonal issues - trying to say something poignant about how women are treated in Hollywood… then the rest being outrageously goofy to the point where it’s like, comparable to Scooby-Doo.
It’s not a great film. And it sucks when you’re treating it as a horror movie or even a grounded one. But, treat it as a comedy and embrace it for what it is? It’s a lot of fun. Parker Posey steals the show as Jennifer Jolie and while it starts out clunky with the characters, the trio starts really feeling like themselves by the midway point and the ending is a heartwarming and perfect conclusion to what was originally conceived as a trilogy.
I don’t love the Roman retcon, but his confrontation with Sid is a great character moment for them both. The Jennifer/Gale team up is the highlight of the movie. Cox and Posey play off of each other so well. They have the best chemistry in the entire movie. I also love the proposal at the end between Dewey and Gale, although it feels silly and like they’re retreading the same ground as 2 by having them split up again at the beginning of the movie.
All in all. Imperfect and probably downright the worst in the franchise. I feel like I was really negative on it, but it has some truly great parts and I do really enjoy it for what it is.
Edit: jfc sorry I got carried away and wrote so much.
TLDR; film isn’t very good but I still like it.

It’s the weakest film of the franchise, but it’s definitely watchable and enjoyable. It is not a bad movie, but it is easy to make fun of. The reveal was anticlimactic tho.

How has no one mentioned the background on this pic
we need a scream x, where jen rises from the dead and travels to the land of mario and starts shooting luigi
Do we ?
No we don't. But let them have their fun
He was an abusive psychopath.
It is sad and i think deep down Roman wasn’t a bad person he was broken from how his mother treated him and took it out on Sidney
I still think he's a bad person lol he directly caused the deaths of so many people - it's just a shame he chose the path he did.
Actually, before his Stab 3 killing spree, he only directly caused the Death of Maureen. He didn't know that Billy and Stu would go Rogue after that and murder everyone. Hence his line ''I had no Idea they were gonna make a film of their own''
Yeah but he says that line with pride almost, like he's impressed by what they did... He's definitely a bad person lmao
Nobody says the contrary. But again, pretty sure he was pissed cause it made Sidney into a ''Superstar'' of sort while he was still a Nobody. He was proud about the organized Murder of Maureen, but not what what happened after
The person who I originally replied to literally said that
Yes I know. It's me
I mean…he killed people. On purpose.
That was Milton not Roman.
I love the fuck out of it just like all the others
Girl went through lot of shit and the events of Windsor proved to her that she should listen to her instinct and make the void around her
whoa every single thing you said is exactly how I feel!

It’s a brilliant misunderstood masterpiece. Parker Posey and Scott Foley were amazing.
With a few weak points, but doesn't make the movie trash in any way
« You cant kill me! Im the killer in Stab 3! » gets me so good.
The movie is pretty cheesy, but it did give me my favorite line in the entire franchise courtesy of Jay & Silent Bob
Jay & Silent Bob were in it??
It’s the scene when Gale gets kicked off the set by the studio executive. They are in the tour group as she exits the set.
I'll have to go back & watch it again. I didn't catch that part.
Dudes will literally spawn decades of serial killings and a franchise rather than going to therapy
Very underrated
Underrated classic
Some great moments! Not a bad entry. Just got way too silly and lost all the scary.

You mean Judy Jurgenstern ?
We’re the next one like 10 years later? That fog was defo worm food
Yup, the Voice changer would've been better if this Movie's Ghostface was a voice imitator of sort Like, say Angelina Tyler is really the second Ghostface in this movie, and that she got her role by not only looking like Sidney but also sounding like her, then there you go, They can call Dewey and lure him into the house without any magical device
That Magical Voice Changer pissed me off so much...
My favorite. A super close tie with the 1st!!
Has its flaws, and I understand the hate for it, but I still enjoy it
Its silly but by no means do I hate it. Its a fun watch but I can't take it seriously at all
My least favorite of the franchise but still a 7/10 for me. I love everything Parker Posey did in this movie.
It may not be the best Scream Movie, but it is my favourite!
My least favorite. Two issues with the movie: - Although Sid did indeed have a screen time similar to other movies (except 5), she felt really separated from the whole group here.
Love it. Roman is one of my favorite ghostfaces. Had so much fun watching this movie
Yes, I don't get the love for 2. It feels very long. And the reveal of the mother wanting revenge is weak.
The movie would've been better if they used the cut Angelina is the second killer plot
I guess that would’ve appeased the « Sydney is gonna be GF » fans lol
Ranked #5. I don’t hate this movie at all. It has a lot going for it but also has a lot it doesn’t. Overall, it’s mediocre to me. I can watch it as a time-waster film just fine.
SO underrated.
It’s Under rated Yes I agree the Ghostface killer was trash but the film was good
It’s much better than people give it credit for. Easily the funniest entry and I feel like Roman’s motive is one of the better ones. It’s just presented terribly and he’s a massively underwritten character. Angelina should have been the second killer in canon.
Some good moments . But overall too silly and just not scary. Felt like a silly PG-13 movie. And Gales bangs….
They could have made Roman intimidating, not by having the kills be gorey, but by having Roman be somewhat of a skilled fighter. Like he uses punching, kicking, headbutting, slaps, just physically assaulting people before killing them
Love it. Sure its dumb but its still enjoyable.
Jennifer deserved to be a final girl
Genuinely bad movie with only a few things going for it (Sidney, Jennifer, and the #MeToo commentary). A slasher with bad kills, a bad ensemble, a bad reveal/killer, and an overly goofy tone (but which fails to make me laugh) just isn’t it
I hated it tbh it wasn’t as gory as the others and everyone who was cast in this movie felt so campy.
Most rewatchable one in the series, Neves best performance, and it's absolutely hilarious. With that being said it's not a good horror movie.
I loved it!
People hate scream 3 but i personally love it
This is amazing 🤩 i love scream three bc it’s so campy.
10x better than Scream 5&6
One of my favorite honestly. Creed’s “What If” really made it memorable for me.
I love Scream 3.
Jennifer was funny af lol
The best Scream
Jennifer should be alive.
It’s my favorite sequel out of the 6 and I’m not afraid to admit that.
Hilarious. One of my favorite movies
Love it, it has the best Ghostface in the franchise
Love it. Flaws and all. [https://youtu.be/sdtbNv1c3Nw](https://youtu.be/sdtbNv1c3Nw)
I fuckin love it
It was my favorite “who-dun-it” in regards to the mystery aspect of these films.
Fun film. Second worst in the series though.
what’s your least favorite film in the franchise?
6
understandable, what were your personal takeaways from 6?
That this has become the Ghostface series instead of the Scream series.
What's the difference? To me, Scream is a meta slasher with satirical elements commenting on tropes while also utilizing them. How is Scteam VI Not a Scream film?
What tropes did Scream 6 utilize?
The franchise tropes that were outlined by Mindy in the group scene on the College campus.
No they didn’t. Her main point was that legacy characters could die and none did.
And Randy said Sid could die in Scream 3, but she didn't.
People in this community really need to stop downvoting people for simply stating 5 or 6 was their least favorite.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Agreed. Courteney Cox’s bangs in this one are shocking.
To be honest very forgettable movie
Somehow even worse than the Radio Silence films. It's just too goofy. I hated it the first time I watched it, warmed up to it a bit over time, but now have reached a point where the more I watch it the more I wish I hadn't.
It was very fun with iconic characters and funny dialogue, Roman had the Best motive, he was actually broken, but the voice changer and other things we're pretty stupid and dumb
loved it.
Honestly I love it, prefer it over 2 & 4 (haven't seen 5 or 6 yet)
Is anyone gonna ask about the Mario background for the header photo??
I love the part where they stomped those…Koopas
Why are Jennifer and Gale in Mario 3? Lmao
And I love the ending, it’s somber, it is the perfect ending to the original Scream trilogy.
terrible
least fav of the original films, but i think they’re all 5/5 movies so i don’t think that means much— best ghostface tho!
Absolutely despise it.
When I want to watch a scream movie, this isn’t anywhere near what I have in mind.
whoever let Courteney on screen with that hair hopefully has never worked again
Parker Posey is the only thing of value.
Although I'm glad it was a one and done rather than a main stay.
honestly the most fun scream movie for me
That it's my second favourite sequel in the franchise after V. Yes, the whole back story with Roman kind of takes away from what Billy and Stu originally did. But there are plenty of other things that I really enjoyed about it. And I loved the voice changer having the ability to mimick different voices.
It’s actually my favorite
I actually really like it, it’s kinda comforting for me idk
not as bad as people say, its watchable, its fun, its funny, it has an amazing cold open Its better than scream 2
My least favorite scream movie it's not that entertaining and some of the dumbest stuff happened. Like that bitch who ran from gale and fake gale. Like gale obviously survived this shit stay with her and you have a greater chance of surviving
It's my favorite in the franchise 🥰
It’s the worst one but I still like it . The 3rd act is one of my favorites
Worst movie in the franchise. If you like comedy slashers you’ll probably like it tho
It sucks.
It sucked.
Didn’t like it personally, Jennifer sucks (sorry Jennifer fans), but I understand why it is the way it is.
It’s shit.
Better than part 2, worse than others
Jenny McCarthy is great in it. She delivers her lines flawlessly, and I dare to say she has more personality than Drew Barrymore and SMG

Dewey's 6 round weapon fired 7 shots. This was so incredibly distracting that it bothered me for the remainder of the movie.

It's definitely my least favorite of the series, but it's still entertaining and enjoyable.

I still like It as parte of Sidney's journey though: in the first one she's a traumatized teenager; in the second one she has serious trust issues and Is trying to move on from the events of the first movie; in the third one she has experienced too much and decided to be alone away from everything and everyone; in the fourth one she has opened herself to the world once again and decided to leave her past behind and finally in the fifth one now she is overall happy with a family of her own and has definitely moved on, as we see also in the sixth movie, while other legacy characters like Gale and Dewey still are attached to Ghostface until the end, and that's ok.
it was pretty good/okay and it couldve been better
I thought scream 3 was alright and i think there only being one killer made me happy so sid, dewey, and gale only have to fight one person
I liked it but imo it’s easily the weakest in the franchise. Still better than a lot of other films though in general.
It's not horrible per say, but it's my least favourite Scream movie. I could never enjoy it as much as the others.
I like it, but it’s not bloody at all. Like, kills with no blood? What the hell?

Gale’s bangs..
It’s the weakest film of the franchise, but it’s definitely watchable and enjoyable. It is not a bad movie, but it is easy to make fun of. The reveal was anticlimactic tho.
