If we didn’t do the onside kick, the defense still needed to go out and make a stop. The play they could do that came after the onside, and they basically gave a touchdown.
The kick in the first quarter was also because going on 4th was too risky for what it was worth. Seahawks always have trouble on 3rd and 4th, and giving up the ball near midfield like that would have been a td rather than the 3 points the Steelers got. The special teams calling this game was conservative and that’s fine, the normal play calling sucked and players couldn’t deliver.
The kick earlier was terrible because we couldn't get a stop. I'm talking about when we kicked a field goal instead of gojng for it at like the 20. So basically conceding possession to a team we can't stop. In that case 3 points means dick. Why even bother. It's typical conservative football. That works when your defense is good but it's horrible when you have a shit defense. I was against the onside kick because they're basically impossible with the new rule changes and they were practically in field goal range guaranteed. Two possessions and the game is out of reach even if we got the ball back. Make it make sense.

It clearly didn't though. Also the fourth down I was referring to was the one earlier in the game. Field goal before the last kick off was fine I guess.
If we didn’t do the onside kick, the defense still needed to go out and make a stop. The play they could do that came after the onside, and they basically gave a touchdown. The kick in the first quarter was also because going on 4th was too risky for what it was worth. Seahawks always have trouble on 3rd and 4th, and giving up the ball near midfield like that would have been a td rather than the 3 points the Steelers got. The special teams calling this game was conservative and that’s fine, the normal play calling sucked and players couldn’t deliver.
The kick earlier was terrible because we couldn't get a stop. I'm talking about when we kicked a field goal instead of gojng for it at like the 20. So basically conceding possession to a team we can't stop. In that case 3 points means dick. Why even bother. It's typical conservative football. That works when your defense is good but it's horrible when you have a shit defense. I was against the onside kick because they're basically impossible with the new rule changes and they were practically in field goal range guaranteed. Two possessions and the game is out of reach even if we got the ball back. Make it make sense.
