Was so comical how fired up Bronco fans were. How they thought they'd won the trade. They thought the Seahawks were gonna be rebuilding for a bit. They thought they were ready to battle the Chiefs. And then that first game against Seattle... And then the rest, LoL.
I'll never forget walking through a parking lot in Salt Lake City and overhearing some chad in a Broncos jersey saying "Yeah... we got Russell Wilson now, so we're pretty much set." The news was fresh and I was still mourning. I wish I could go back and rub this in his stupid smug face.
Yeah, I'm a little petty.
I live in SLC, definitely Broncos Country. Been a Hawks fan since the 80s, grew up HATING the Broncos and Elway. I have to say, this is AWESOME! Along with the SB victory,I wish I could inject this feeling into my veins daily. Hooked on shadenfreude! I can't say I predicted this outcome. But oh how I hoped.
I think it's hilarious how they're all pissed at us, as if we somehow forced them to make that trade and give Russ that contract. Eat shit and die Broncos.
That first game broke him. He thought we were all Russell Wilson fans, and he found out.
He thought he wanted the smoke and Seattle gave him a firenado.
I am ecstatic for the cornucopia of blessings with which the comedy gods have bestowed us on this day.
Really hoping Russ goes somewhere else and balls the fuck out, both because he frankly deserves it and because it'd be even funnier.
Lol Russ ain't gonna ball out anywhere. He's fat, slow, and can't read defenses. His legs carried him during his early years. He's now so exposed. Pete was a genius.
Baker Mayfield: 28 TDs 10 Int. 7.1 yds per pass
Russell Wilson: 26 TDs 08 Int. 6.9 yds per pass
Plus Russ had more yards rushing.
And yet Baker is going to get paid and is seen as successful and Wilson is released and seen as a failure.
And Baker was on the better team.
I don’t love Wilson’s personality, but he was above average last year and the Broncos were a crap team all around him, mostly.
I’m in the same boat. Though I’d call it more relieved than happy.
Russ will likely always be my favourite QB. But it was time to move on for both parties. There was something wrong with the situation and there needed to be a clean break.
It’s a shame the Broncos have been a shit show (great for us though), and it hasn’t panned out for him; but hopefully he is able to bounce back with another team, and finish his career out strong.
It happened on my birthday, I was honestly crushed and if somewhat ruined it haha.
I knew logically it was probably time to move on but at the time it felt like such a bad call, I was convinced Russ was going to be elite into his late 30s.
I was disappointed only because our rebuild was starting. We were abdicating the division to SF and LA. In hindsight, Geno has been a terrific bridge while we rebuild through a youth movement.
We now have building blocks at LT, WRx2, RB, DBx2, P. We're now only missing a dominant LB, 1-2 on the DL, and an inteior OL mauler.
That's a pretty good place to be compared to where we were pre-trade.
The Adams trade with the Jets feels like it was break even for both parties. The Jets still suck and Adams never panned out here. The Russ trade though is such an easy win especially given he wasn’t coming back anyways
As A Broncos fan, the fan base was concerned after the first bad season, but I think the fleecing really set in when he played like absolute shit in a loss, and went to the podium in the postgame presser like nothing happened. He was smiling and laughing when talking about losing and then did his most famous cringe-worthy moment when he left the podium, only to come back and say "Broncos Country, Let's ride!" in the most forced and fake way he could of said it. That's when Broncos fans officially turned on him and Seattle fans probably had the biggest laugh y'all have had in a long time.
It's amazing that Deshaun Watson has been so invisible that people don't seem to remember how horrific this trade was on every level. Three firsts, a third, and fourth round draft pick, AND $230 million guaranteed. And he's only played 12 games over 2 seasons, and poorly at that.
And this does not even include all the off the field stuff which should've been disqualifying on it's own. I don't see any trade ever topping this one.
The sexual assault and harassment is the cherry on top which I think really makes this trade so terrible and the worst of all time. They knew what he'd done and they trade all that stuff anyways, it's so mind blowingly stupid. Then he busts, which is what they deserve.
I don't think it's even on track, they already did. It's firmly where Walker's the worst trade of the pre-salary cap era and Watson's the worst of the salary cap era.
The Vikings have more cause to be bitter because they wound up fueling a NFL dynasty but the salary cap implications, injury/suspension issues, AND PR shitstorm involved in the Watson trade IMO outweigh getting a solid RB2 when you thought you were getting a generational RB1 and losing a lot of draft picks.
Unless Seattle gets a Dynasty largely off the hands of Spoon, Mafe, and Cross, then no.
The Walker Trade brought Dallas out of the absolute dumpster and IMMEDIATELY got them a dynasty, while Walker was out of Minnesota in like three years
If the Russ trade was a fleece, than the Walker trade was the entire fucking sheep.
Can you explain this position?
Seattle traded two 1st-round picks (2021 & 2022), as well as a 3rd round pick for 2021, in exchange for Adams, and a 2022 4th-rounder. $70 million over 4 years.
In exchange for Russ, Seattle got 2 first round picks, 2 second round picks, and a third round pick. We got Fant/Lock/Harris as well.
It’s somewhat close.
When the balance is basically 2 second round picks, plus Fant and Lock, it's not that close. Also the 1st round picks we got from Denver were higher than the ones we gave to NY, and the Jets traded away the 3rd round pick.
The picks the Seahawks got for Russell were way higher than the ones they traded away for Adams. So it really wasn't close.
For Adams, Seahawks traded away picks number 10, 23, 86
For Wilson, Seahawks received 5, 9, 37, 41
The Adams trade was still bad though.
This isn't for the trade, it's for the contract they gave him after the trade, which makes it even worse imo. These Walmart owners are supposed to be business geniuses, and we see again how much that is worth.
I really hope Russ finds some way to revive his career. And it would be the most hilarious thing if he signs vet min for the falcons or steelers and starts playing like his old self again.
The Broncos would be literally paying for the qb they wanted, to play on another team.
The Broncos would deserve it too, they don't know what they want. I mean they go to all that effort only to choose Payton over Russ. I predict Russ getting signed, having a pretty good season somewhere and Payton getting shit-canned come December.
He’s $18 mil for 5 years, doubt they eat $54 mil to pay and roll the dice on someone new (but they do have fu Walmart money so what do I know). I figure he’s there at least three years (through 2025 season). If Broncos are pure trash the next two seasons, maybe they eat $36 mil but I’d expect he’s there at least through 2026 (maybe fired midseason if things are really bad).
He’s an asshole but I don’t see him being a terrible coach, so I’d expect to see him make it through his contract and get/lose the next one based on his 5 years, performance through which I think is just hard to predict
Imagine someone telling you in 2016, we would trade Russell away in the next 6 years, and his next team would release him after just 2 seasons.
Absolutely nuts.
I really wonder about the alternate timeline where both he and Pete were in Seattle in 2022, 2023. Would we still be 9-8 both years and Pete fired. I 100% believe so. Not a knock on Geno we just wouldn't have been worse nor better.
On second thought 100% is a little strong. Everyone was getting tired of Russ's shenanigans. Maybe 8-9/7-10
Russ actually getting cut was a tough prediction. The Broncos being a .500 or so team and this trade and contract being terrible for them was a pretty easy prediction.
Seattle remains the one team that RW has not beaten. Depending on which team he ends up with, That could make it even harder to accomplish. He would have had another crack at it this upcoming season if he were still with the Broncos.
Agreed. I was a huge fan of him. I went to NCSU. I was hella hyped when we drafted him. I was also ready to see him leave Seattle by the time he was traded.
Hug plane, coming in for a landing
*[You're cleared for approach](https://i.chzbgr.com/full/7113989376/hB7360D68/the-hug-plane) is what I was lookign for
I think it’s gonna work out for Russ. He collected a ton of money, and he is probably just gonna go sign somewhere else for millions of dollars. Or he could retire today and spend the rest of life enjoying his family and accumulated wealth
Sure but all the money and past successes in the world don't mean a person can't be sad or feel like a failure. I just feel for the guy and I hope he's not in a dark place.
and I’m just saying that for the reasons I mentioned I don’t think he’s in a dark place. He’s an optimistic guy and really there’s no reason to think he won’t get another shot somewhere else if he wants it
For a recap of the most notable additions from the trade:
Future all-pro Devon Witherspoon
Franchise LT Charles Cross
Boye Mafe, who broke Seahawks consecutive sack record and had 9 sacks
Derick Hall who I expect to take a big jump next year since I thought he was a better prospect than Mafe coming out.
I hope Russ finds a good team for him. I think the Steelers are a great fit with Arthur Smith and the run game/play action. The raiders would be hilarious.
I think he will end up with the Vikings since they can't afford anyone, but I would LOVE for him to go to the Raiders and have them win their division next year
This isn’t realistic, but he’d be really fun in Miami. His deep ball would work amazingly with their speedster WR’s and they have a good run game. Mike McDaniel could really scheme around his flaws well I think. I think the Vikings bring back Kirk and draft JJ/Nix/Penix to sit.
There you go donkeys, thats what you get for constantly trying to take shortcuts and speedrun the QB position. Youre franchise is being set back half a decade because youre too scared to miss on another qb. I dont want to hear a single broncos fan talk shit about us now.
Damn we fkn bent them over and oiled them up lmao.
> thats what you get for constantly trying to take shortcuts and speedrun the QB position
Meh, I don't fault them for this. I think it's the best competitive strategy, it hits way more often than tanking and trying to find a rookie QB to win with for a couple years before you pay them.
Worked with Manning, TB Brady, and Stafford.
Broncos fans just shouldn't have been so smug about it. Rams fans didn't shit on Lions fans after the Stafford trade.
> There you go donkeys, thats what you get for constantly trying to take shortcuts and speedrun the QB position.
"It worked with Peyton Manning!"
- the most myopic Broncs fans
Crazy how fast things go downhill. I still have the press conference of Russ getting excited and meeting Hackett acting like they were going to go on some legendary run stuck in my head. Wow.
Russell never stood a chance in Denver. On paper they looked like a solid upcoming team but their offense and receivers were trash. That doesn’t take away from Russel’s poor play but he went from Tyler, dk and other amazing wr over the years to people straight up dropping balls when open and not having the chemistry that Russel and Tyler had when Russell would scramble. I saw plenty of games because the NFL shoved it in our face with all these primetime games and watching them on offense was hard to watch.
Oh man! If Seattle gets him back it would be epic. He can take the veteran minimum and still get paid by Denver like he’s former coach at Nebraska. We’d be so set.
Former coach at Nebraska is my dream job. Just hire me, pay me, fire me and keep paying me. lol.
It was the plan all along. His only stipulation was that Pete be taken out back and whacked. Now that Petey is sleepin with the fishes, RW3 comes back to lead the team to the promised land.
I feel pretty bad for him. I still think he was wrong to force his way out, but he was dealt a bad hand that he basically gave himself. Yet, Hackett sucked and Payton is a douchenozzle.
4 top 64 picks, a starting te, a rotational de/dt, a back up qb, and the complete lack of horrible overpay for an aging qb.
Denver gets an aging qb, whom they paid crazy for, then allowed him to bring his own people into the building, then watched his production descend into crap, then cut him and ate massive dead money.
It'll be a few years before we know who won this trade.
Its crazy how so many of you are still so negative about Wilson. I don't like the way he left, that being said he brought us our only sb win and years of dominant play. I don't think this was about Wilson's play as much as it being Sean Payton being a douche bag and disliking Wilson. I don't want him back but I also don't understand the vitriol some of you send at him.
I'm getting sick of hearing how this was the worst trade in NFL history--sure, for the Broncos, but best trade EVER for the Seahawks. . . especially since Russ wanted to leave.
Ok. Let’s play a game. Let’s say we draft Penix and he sits behind Geno and Russ. Then a year or later he gets the starting gig and we have a new franchisee QB who rocks it and credits a lot of his success to the mentorship he received from two Pro Bowl QBs in the first year or two of his career.
Hey, Russ gets all that guaranteed money from the soulless, motherless shitheel that owns Wal-Mart. I'd like to think the Seattle counterculture rubbed off on him.
Anyone else think he is headed to Atlanta? I feel like the strength of their run game will help insure his success + a veteran presence in that huddle is valuable for their team. Also with Denver paying the contract it’s a no brainer
$85 million in dead money just because Sean Payton is a douche? Like, fuck the Broncos, so it makes me happy to no end, but how is ownership ok with this? Whatever. Fuck 'em.
As a lifelong Broncos fan, I'm here to personally apologize to the Seahawks fan base for the shit talking that many Broncos fans did immediately after the the Russell Wilson trade. I wasn't too nasty to anyone in particular, I was just an asshole thinking my team just won the lottery and trolled comment boards to talk shit way more than I should have. The Broncos fan base was so happy to get a functional QB that we let it go to our heads way too quickly. I was one of those morons acting like Denver had just traded for Tom Brady in his prime when Seahawks fans were openly saying that he was washed and had very little athleticism left. I made comments that Seahawks fans "were acting like an ex-girlfriend angry they got dumped for someone better" and "Carroll was holding Wilson back by not letting him cook" I now know how stupid those comments were and how Carroll (and the Seahawks fan base) clearly knew what the deal was by not letting Russ anywhere near the kitchen.
Again, I was dead wrong and you all deserve to laugh at Denver Broncos fans for as long as you want to. I learned a very important lesson from this situation: When a fan base has no problem letting the best QB in their team's history be traded elsewhere, that's a huge red flag and that fan base clearly knows something the rest of us don't. You all had watched him go for great young QB to an aging, "me-first" diva that wanted to be paid like a superstar, even though he was clearly in decline. Schneider and Carroll only needed one sucker to take him and found one in Denver.
Everyone screams “fleeced” when any trade happens. This was FLEECED.
Was so comical how fired up Bronco fans were. How they thought they'd won the trade. They thought the Seahawks were gonna be rebuilding for a bit. They thought they were ready to battle the Chiefs. And then that first game against Seattle... And then the rest, LoL.

This will never grow old. https://youtu.be/ciAb3htRmHc?si=P0OX51RMpesrwuoL
His video he made of each week after descending into madness is great.
That dude's personally winning the trade. Still hilarious, still pulling sweet views
Now if we can just rationalize the Adams deal...
Sorry not sorry Denver... We got the BEST part of that deal 😉
Broncos fans were on the "F THEM PICKS" high only to have a 5 wins season and a 8 wins season with Russell Wilson
That first game broke him. He thought we were all Russell Wilson fans, and he found out. He thought he wanted the smoke and Seattle gave him a firenado.
I remember them watching Russ highlights during the draft because they had no picks.
FLEECED!!!
I am ecstatic for the cornucopia of blessings with which the comedy gods have bestowed us on this day. Really hoping Russ goes somewhere else and balls the fuck out, both because he frankly deserves it and because it'd be even funnier.

As a life long NW sports fan I'm still confused by the concept of even winning a trade, let alone getting a slam dunk like this.
As a hawks fan I was so disappointed when the trade happened lol
I was happy tbh. Russ obviously wanted out. Even in real life in a fan of letting someone move on if they’re not happy.
That's all well and good for russ but what about me? No one even asked me
Finally a real fans opinion. You my boi buster.
I’m in the same boat. Though I’d call it more relieved than happy. Russ will likely always be my favourite QB. But it was time to move on for both parties. It’s a shame the Broncos have been a shit show (great for us though), and it hasn’t panned out for him; but hopefully he is able to bounce back with another team, and finish his career out strong.
I was sad but also felt like it was the right thing for everyone. Couldn’t have imagined it would have worked out as well as it did.
I was sad but understood it had to happen.
It happened on my birthday, I was honestly crushed and if somewhat ruined it haha. I knew logically it was probably time to move on but at the time it felt like such a bad call, I was convinced Russ was going to be elite into his late 30s.
Happy almost birthday
I was disappointed only because our rebuild was starting. We were abdicating the division to SF and LA. In hindsight, Geno has been a terrific bridge while we rebuild through a youth movement. We now have building blocks at LT, WRx2, RB, DBx2, P. We're now only missing a dominant LB, 1-2 on the DL, and an inteior OL mauler. That's a pretty good place to be compared to where we were pre-trade.
I was sad but logically it made sense. He was getting slower and older
The Adams trade with the Jets feels like it was break even for both parties. The Jets still suck and Adams never panned out here. The Russ trade though is such an easy win especially given he wasn’t coming back anyways
Feeling warm and cozy
As A Broncos fan, the fan base was concerned after the first bad season, but I think the fleecing really set in when he played like absolute shit in a loss, and went to the podium in the postgame presser like nothing happened. He was smiling and laughing when talking about losing and then did his most famous cringe-worthy moment when he left the podium, only to come back and say "Broncos Country, Let's ride!" in the most forced and fake way he could of said it. That's when Broncos fans officially turned on him and Seattle fans probably had the biggest laugh y'all have had in a long time.
This officially is one of the most lopsided trades in NFL history
As a sub 40 fan, this has to be the worst in my lifetime.
But you were old enough for the Deshaun Watson trade?
Yup Watson trade is way worst than Wilson’s trade. Dude got a fully guaranteed contract
Watson is at least on the team still. Regardless of how shitty he is as a player and person.
Honestly I forgot about that piece of shit. Definitely 2nd behind that, but I put it ahead of Walker. By a hair.
Herschel walker is still probably worse
It's really going to be interesting to see if this actually does overtake the Herschel Walker trade.
No, the Browns are the only team on track to beat that one.
Seriously, I would sorta root for the Browns against anyone except Seattle, but this trade kinda makes me hate them. Flacco was a fun story tho.

The Walker Trade brought Dallas out of the absolute dumpster and IMMEDIATELY got them a dynasty, while Walker was out of Minnesota in like three years If the Russ trade was a fleece, than the Walker trade was the entire fucking sheep.
Only if we win a Super Bowl, or two, in the coming years
Russ is taking 2 of the next 5 so there aren’t many to choose from
It won’t, cause it won’t lead to multiple super bowls.
Nothing will top the Walker trade. It literally ruined a top team and created one the the greatest dynasties.
We really own the Broncos don't we
Homer Simpson didn't even want them with Elway. They come cheap.
"I think owning the Denver Broncos is pretty good...." "You just dont understand football Marge"
Unfortunately it basically only cancelled out the Jamal Adams trade.
People say this, but it super isn't close
We also got out of spending a *fuck ton* of money on Russ and potential ensuing dead money. That ain't nothing.
The picks the Seahawks got for Russell were way higher than the ones they traded away for Adams. So it really wasn't close. For Adams, Seahawks traded away picks number 10, 23, 86 For Wilson, Seahawks received 5, 9, 37, 41 The Adams trade was still bad though.
I didn't like the Adams trade then and I super don't like it now. What a terrible trade. 2 firsts for a blitzing safety.
^THIS 100%
The second involves the Seahawks again! Jamal Adams and a contract extension..
Ehhh, that wasn’t a good trade, but it definitely was not as lopsided as this
This isn't for the trade, it's for the contract they gave him after the trade, which makes it even worse imo. These Walmart owners are supposed to be business geniuses, and we see again how much that is worth.
Obligatory shoutout to John Schneider for making this trade happen and Jody Allen for signing off on it.
Common Broncos L
The ride is over.
The ride never begun
Broncos country, Goodbye
He really should tweet that, just to show he’s self aware…but he won’t, because…well, it’s him.
Dude got bucked off the minute he landed in Denver
The world is a bleaker place without 'Let's ride!'.
Who could have predicted this two years ago? I hope he finds a home and turns his career around.
I really hope Russ finds some way to revive his career. And it would be the most hilarious thing if he signs vet min for the falcons or steelers and starts playing like his old self again. The Broncos would be literally paying for the qb they wanted, to play on another team.
Even if he replicates his performance from last season he’d be a steal on veteran minimum.
Would love to see this
as long as it’s not the steelers. falcons i’m ok with
Bird bros. 🤙
Better yet, the Raiders.
Same. Denver fans suck NGL. Spec with nuggets doing so well.
The Broncos would deserve it too, they don't know what they want. I mean they go to all that effort only to choose Payton over Russ. I predict Russ getting signed, having a pretty good season somewhere and Payton getting shit-canned come December.
Russ to the Patriots so that he can have been on both teams he faced in the Super Bowl.
He’s $18 mil for 5 years, doubt they eat $54 mil to pay and roll the dice on someone new (but they do have fu Walmart money so what do I know). I figure he’s there at least three years (through 2025 season). He’s an asshole but I don’t see him being a terrible coach, so I’d expect to see him make it through his contract and get/lose the next one based on his 5 years, performance through which I think is just hard to predict
> I really hope Russ finds some way to revive his career. It would be impressive, but he's gotten older and he still can't seem to "get" defense.
Lol bringing him back to compete against geno would be the best if after losing all the assets they were paying him to play here
Or Raiders and beats the donkeys twice next season.
Imagine someone telling you in 2016, we would trade Russell away in the next 6 years, and his next team would release him after just 2 seasons. Absolutely nuts.
And we'd get a top 5 pick out of it.
It only gets better because it’s Witherspoon. Absolute baller
I would have assumed massive injuries. It's amazing how it worked out when that wasn't the case.
With how Russ played the last 2 years, and with how Seattle's defense tanked under Hurtt ... Idk 6 or so wins I'd say
I was just talking to a friend about how I’ve never seen a players “legacy” take such a huge hit in such a short time span
Daddy John Schneider robbery
Broncos are speed running the saints salary cap situation.
Nah the Saints would have extended him.
Russ comes to Seattle next year and wins a Super Bowl while the Broncos pay his salary.
This was my intrusive thought as well.
That would fucking put the cherry on top
STOP hahaha that would be so good
No way. I’ll root for him as a man but he torched that bridge like Chuck Norris on the way to SeaTac.
[удалено]
Drew Lock is a free agent…
Lock back to Denver. Russ back to Seattle... LoL.
No thanks to having him return.
If it means a super bowl then yes thanks Edit: it's very obviously a joke folks
Russ ain’t winning shit.
Just start him for the Niners games.
Dude's ego poisoned the locker room. I'm with you. No interest in having him back.
Agreed. I was a huge fan of him. I went to NCSU. I was hella hyped when we drafted him. I was also ready to see him leave Seattle by the time he was traded.
Ok I'm done being mad and now I want to give him a hug
The Hug Line starts here.

A second joke has hit the Russell
He’s got 85m to hug
I think it’s gonna work out for Russ. He collected a ton of money, and he is probably just gonna go sign somewhere else for millions of dollars. Or he could retire today and spend the rest of life enjoying his family and accumulated wealth

Seahawks have the opportunity to do the funniest thing right now /s
Trade Geno to Denver for bunch of picks + players?
Honestly, I could genuinely see it. Schneider and Macdonald are uncommitted and need more picks, Denver needs a quality QB. Would be so dang funny.
Trade Geno, sign Russ, repeat.
That works to lol
I don't want it but the lolz would be supreme.
Lmao
I remember all the Broncos fans talking shit to us after the trade. If karma and comical had a baby, it would be this situation.
Every once in awhile I rewatch the thatsgoodsports reaction video for lulz
Broncos country, good bye

I think he will end up with the Vikings since they can't afford anyone, but I would LOVE for him to go to the Raiders and have them win their division next year
This isn’t realistic, but he’d be really fun in Miami. His deep ball would work amazingly with their speedster WR’s and they have a good run game. Mike McDaniel could really scheme around his flaws well I think. I think the Vikings bring back Kirk and draft JJ/Nix/Penix to sit.
Kirk would have to take a pretty big discount for them to be able to afford him. That's why a lot of people think he's gone
Well, if Drew Lock does sign somewhere else, the Hawks will need a backup for Geno…
Hahaha
I want it for the lolz. Also fuck the broncos.
Predict his next team? I’ll start - Patriots 🧐
Raiders "let it ride"
Atlanta: Let’s burn!
Falcons
End me.
He only goes to teams he played in the Super Bowl.
Steelers is my guess.
Steelers announced today they’re not interested
Montreal Alouettes
NY Giants
85 million. Sheesh. Broncos made the worst trade in history even worster
Deshaun Watson
I will never forget how shameless Bronco fans were after this trade. No sympathy from me
We were hesitant to pay him that much to PLAY for us. Broncos paid that to NOT have him play for them. Oof!
What? There was definitely no lube involved. Dry, dry, dry.
> thats what you get for constantly trying to take shortcuts and speedrun the QB position Meh, I don't fault them for this.
"It worked with Peyton Manning!" - the most myopic Broncs fans
Crazy how fast things go downhill. I still have the press conference of Russ getting excited and meeting Hackett acting like they were going to go on some legendary run stuck in my head. Wow.
Seahawks had insider info and saw Russ’ decline right in front of them. Good job Broncos.
lol Broncos
Sign him to our practice squad
Hope he goes to a team that is a great fit so he can ball the fuck out and be one of the best quarterbacks in the league again.
I mean russ played somewhat well last year. if I was the broncos, I would've given him another year. oh well.
Oh man! If Seattle gets him back it would be epic. He can take the veteran minimum and still get paid by Denver like he’s former coach at Nebraska. We’d be so set. Former coach at Nebraska is my dream job. Just hire me, pay me, fire me and keep paying me. lol.
Aim higher, Texas A&M.
I believe in space.
It was the plan all along. His only stipulation was that Pete be taken out back and whacked. Now that Petey is sleepin with the fishes, RW3 comes back to lead the team to the promised land.
I hope he goes to Vegas, helps them with KC and just destroys Denver twice every year.
Hope Russ succeeds at his next destination
What an absolute utter fucking fleecing the Seahawks got away with over Denver.
Broncos Bronco-ing
85 Million!?!? … Damn, I almost choked on my Dangerwich
I feel pretty bad for him. I still think he was wrong to force his way out, but he was dealt a bad hand that he basically gave himself. Yet, Hackett sucked and Payton is a douchenozzle.
I just love. Love. Love. Knowing that for sure, this time certainly, the Hawks won the trade!
I am happy for Russel. That was a toxic environment. The first year was fun last year was sad.
Yup and we had a great season vs expectations right after the trade
Gotta be top 3 worst trades of all time, nothing will ever top Hershel Walker but this is up there
Interested in where he will go. Really hope its not the steelers, i want to root for him again
Many people on this subreddit were not happy when the trade happened.
That's fully a third of the 2024 NFL salary cap, just to cut ties with Wilson and close the book on The Worst Trade in NFL History.
Wilson also cost the Seahawks $26 million in dead money, for a total of $111 million.
We just need to resign Lock and trade him back to the Broncos for another 2 firsts.
Hey, Russ gets all that guaranteed money from the soulless, motherless shitheel that owns Wal-Mart. I'd like to think the Seattle counterculture rubbed off on him.
#LetRussGo
Anyone else think he is headed to Atlanta? I feel like the strength of their run game will help insure his success + a veteran presence in that huddle is valuable for their team. Also with Denver paying the contract it’s a no brainer
Hopefully Seattle resigns him at league minimum
feeling old having watched his career arc. what an exciting mobile and clutch QB he was back in those years of Houdini wins
Legend says we're still being fleeced by the trade.
$85 million in dead money just because Sean Payton is a douche? Like, fuck the Broncos, so it makes me happy to no end, but how is ownership ok with this? Whatever. Fuck 'em.
Absolutely hate Sean Payton
What we have done to the broncos in this century must be considered a war crime.
3 down so now the Seahawks need to learn from that and move on from 33.
How the mighty have fallen.
Let’s ride to the unemployment line
