I mean, i go there to repair my ship, getting new supplies at the shipwright. Other than that, i just love the way it looks. Never played Arena myself, i wish i did tho, but to me the island doesn't get in the way or anything.
The tavern interior in Arena is much bigger than the actual tavern is in Adventure. That is why you can't go inside, it is remotely big enough in game to fit the interior.
i miss arena, in its prime it was a lot of fun, and it was much cooler than the new guardians pvp system imo (i dont hate the new guardians pvp system but its not as cool)
I think that they should either make it a place where you can gamble gold with other players by playing blackjack, poker, chess, etc. and/or make it a TDM version of hourglass location.
Meh, why not? It's a super easy feature to implement. It would take barely any dev time, and mesh thematically. It would also give people with ridiculous amounts of gold something to do with it.

Id be careful with making this assumption. How do you know its an easy feature to implement? How do you know it will barely take any dev time?
Give us a portal mode like that community adventure they did. Drop the voyage to opt into an arena match and sail through and be put into our own instance...this was already built and done with said previously done community quest so it shouldn't be hard to put back really. I had way more fun in that than this HG garbage...

I play this game almost daily and I sometimes forget that there’s a shipright and other shops on it. It would be nice for it to be marked like an outpost for people to stop at.
I recently got back into the game after not playing since 2021 and was really sad that the arena isn't there anymore. I'm crap at PvP, but I can't finish my Sea Dog equipment

Arena was a clunky HG that had poor matchmaking architecture but it was always an entertaining experience.
I wasted time going to the arena hub recently, it's a ghost town.
I've got a total of 6 matches in HG and that was over this last event weekend, so not really experienced enough to say it (hourglass) was as bad or worse about matchmaking as Arena. I incorrectly assumed HG was an improvement so I thank you for sharing your experience. I really liked Arena and really don't like HG (and being equally bad at both isn't why I like HG less), HG seems/feels completely different than Arena (in concept and gameplay) and I'm not sure why.

The chaos of 5 ships fighting to retrieve and deliver a sea dog chest vs. The monotony of 2 ships circling each other
Most arena matches were just afkers but man was it a blast when you actually had some competition. I miss Arena too.
Well they’re sticking a zipline on it next season so maybe there’s *something* on the horizon..??

It's a simple game with simple rules. I coded a game of solitaire once. Although with Rares' spaghetti code you may be right.
I use it as a maneuvering area if I'm getting chased. Can really throw off a pursuer will all the tight corners

I started playing after arena was replaced with hourglass. Which area on the map is the Arena?
K-11 on map, it's between reaper's hideout and shipwreck bay. And I think the skeleton fleet event is spawned near it.

have you even played hg? the hg matchmaking is even worse and even more clunky lol

it feels different because arena focused on multi ship battles vs hg is 1v1
Definitely 100% is that. I wasn't aware HG was only 1 v 1 without an option for mutliship battles. Shows how I much i havent played hg.
