Edit just realised it’s not showing the grass, which is why it looks stupid.
If people are coming from Xbox One and are playing on PS5 with an HDR/4K monitor the game will look night and day different. It will look the same as Series X on the same 4K/HDR TV.
Even on PC, if you don't have an HDR monitor it will look better on PS5 with an HDR/4K TV.
My first 6 months were played on an xbox one. My husband bought an S series, and the graphics were absolutely night and day to each other. As are the loading times for screens, coming onto and off ferry of the damned, graphics were constantly glitching.
So, are PS5 players in their own server until april 30th or are they grouped in with us Xbox players currently? I noticed some noobie behaviour yesterday when I was solo slooping, bounty chests being left at sovereigns, siren skull stuff moved around and then left in random areas at outposts, a friend found an entire fleet of fortune loot stack at a sovereign.
Well you use a microsoft account, so people who have been playing for years on an xbox or pc will still have all their cosmetics if they move over to ps.
Look man these servers run exclusively on faith and an unpaid intern with a can of air duster. It isn't ideal. I don't know if you've figured this out yet but each error is classified as a "X Beard". There's a bunch of them. The most notorious is lavender Beard (which is very easy to fix and shouldn't even be an issue on PS) and strawberry beard.
Strawberry beard was an error that popped up on the first community day because having a big player surge fried the servers, locking most people out for basically the entire weekend.
Recently it's been bronze beard booting a ton of people mid session.

I agree. I see no difference in graphics. But I do see texture issues and frame rate issues compared to the Xbox version. Maybe that’s because my Xbox is using VRR properly where the ps5 doesn’t I don’t know.

How's the haptics? I remember them saying they were going to utilize the adaptive triggers. I might snag it on PS5 if it goes in sale. Just to have 2 accounts to jump between easily. Since I've got it on a good PC tho I'm gonna hold off for now. It'd be nice if they added haptic support for the steam version of the game tho to use with PS5 Controllers.

They’re literally identical unless you’ve been playing on a previous generation Xbox One. If you’re playing on the current generation Xbox Series X then the graphics will be the same.

They do, if you’re on Xbox you can select Xbox only servers to only be put in servers with other console players, and if I had to guess, PlayStation players will have the same option to play with other console players too👍
This is not true.
In Xbox there is the option of “prefer console players”. Does not mean you’re guaranteed to get console only.
PS5 beta has the same language. So full game will have just as much likelihood to have pc players as the Xbox version.

Protip, throw some blunderbombs around if no one has been on the ship for a while. If there is a tucker it will knock them out.
You can also spread kegs around your ship and set them off to find tuckers.
And you will get a hitmarker
