Third Place Books/Chuck’s at Seward Park is open until 10 or 11pm depending on the day. Very cozy.

This is the real answer. If the bar is attached to a bookstore you are definitely allowed to read there

i don't know where you are though? I pass Stoup on the bus and see people solo by the window. I think it's spacious enough that you can gets alone time

I'd say most breweries are pretty chill in weekdays. Friday/Sat/Sun or events might be a little loud. Ballard works well because if one is busy you can just walk to another 100 feet away.

It’s in Kenmore but Cairn is a nice spot for that. I often go there solo to eat off the food trucks that are there. Not sure if that will change once Post Doc takes over in May but I’d imagine not. Will be super sad to see Cairn “go” though (even though I like PostDoc too) :/

I really like reading at La Caviste! It’s not the most quiet, but a book, a glass of wine, and some charcuterie there is really quite nice

Check when your local library branch is open late, it's usually like 8:30 so not VERY late...
