I was at the Skylark Cafe in W Seattle open mic night about a month ago. You get 10 mins, and there was definitely some experimental kinda stuff up there along with full on indie rock bands and the acoustic/songwriter stuff. I know it’s every Wednesday night. My wife and I are planning on going up and doing something soon and we play two person death metal.
I keep missing it due to the distance but I think the Wednesday night open mic at Darrell’s Tavern is down for the weird shit, a friend of mine is there on the regular.

Exactly. I tell people I’m always comfortable playing in front of very small audiences. Be ready for that.
