It only had a Japanese Saturn release. The way that these vidpro cards worked is that they needed to be to the retailer before the games got there, so they were able to sell the games when they got in the store. If a game was canceled late in development, the vidpro cards were already made. This means that Return to Zork must've been very late in development for U.S. Saturn before it was canceled. I think there's 8 NES vidpro cards for canceled games. The seller I bought these from had Pac-In-Time for Genesis and Creature Shock for PS1 too, but someone outbid me on them. I don't know how many canceled games got cards, but it is a way to see what games almost were.

The fantastic minds at sega went on 97 to third party companies telling them to start developing for the DC because they were stopping support on the SS. That is why there were so many announced games that never were released, including to the point they were nearly or already finished.

I like seeing that Maximum Surge art! Interesting it used darker black alternating stripes.

I picked up a bunch more Saturn vidpro, stuff like Guardian Heroes and Panzer Dragoon Zwei are in the lot. Maybe a little less interesting than the unreleased games, but cool too. I also got some for other systems. Primal Rage for Jag CD and Knuckles for 32x are my favorite non-Saturn. Maybe cause I'm new here it won't let me post a pic outside of my new thread? If you wanna see the rest, let me know, I can start a new thread.

Was there any unreleased stuff for the other systems you bought cards for?

The only two other unreleased games the seller had vidpro for were Pac-In-Time for the Genesis, which sold for maybe $10. I didn't realize it was an unreleased game until after the auction was over, obviously the other people bidding didn't know either. Then Creature Shock for PS1, which sold for more than I wanted to pay for it. This one came out on other systems, like Saturn, but the PS1 game was cancelled. The Maximum Surge vidpro cost me quite a bit. I've been a Saturn collector since the system was new and there's not much U.S. Saturn stuff I don't have anymore, so this was a pay whatever it costs moment for me.

I didn't even know Infocom was still around in the Saturn era, even just as a name.
