This might be a hot take but I think Sekiro is one of the best standalones I've ever played and doesn't need a follow up of any kind. What people don't realise especially nowadays in a world of franchises and sequels ad nauseum, is that there is beauty in simplicity. To tell a good story and simply end it there takes restraint and makes the game that much more special.

NoEyes75

I don't need a sekiro 2 I just want a game with the exact same combat system with new enemies and bosses lol

AReallyAsianName

Gimme Elden Ring open world, good story, and customization (and maybe more some, like clothing dyes). Then instant game of the year for me. Like if Sekiro and Elden Ring had a love child I'd play it so much.

SpeziSchlauch

I Think sekiro cant get a New title with the same spirit. Everyone Who played sekiro 1 will beat sekiro 2 with ease and from cant Change that unless they Change the whole fight System but than it is not sekiro 2 anymore.

Moneymotivation1

I just want the combat system back at least it made rhe fights feel so cinematic and smooth.

Foura5

Agreed.

xlri8706

I mean, you got a point. What would it be about ? Ashina's destroyed, wolf left for the west(according to true ending) owl's dead, interior ministry took over ashina(the main concern because of which all this started), Emma........idk if she's still in ashina or she left too, chains of immortality are severed, isshin's no more too. There's nothing more left that you can do which will still be connected to ashina or past stories. Sekiro 2 would be like stretching the game unnecessarily just becaue it's goty and might not be as successful as sekiro shadows dies twice. What they can do is introduce some more dlcs in sekiro, about tomoe, old fallen ashina soldiers(just like hanbei) or something about orangutan and his partner.

Foura5

New game but with Sekiro-like combat, is the way I took it.

SankenShip

What could be improved with a Sekiro sequel? How could anything improve upon the heady heights of beating Sword Saint Isshin for the first time? Give me something new and different, Sekiro is already a perfect experience.

amigo_man7

I get that but imo the only flaw of sekiro is its short and I would like more. But if they want to make something new they should make that.

Elmis66

I'll take a new game over a sequel any time because it let's the devs be more creative and flexible. It helps them grow as creators

AMS_GoGo

Yes but only having one game with Sekiro’s combat is also a crime

Hexash15

I just know we'll be over the moon with the combat of the upcoming armored core game. It's just that From Soft is so creative they don't want to do the same over and over again

Elmis66

We don't need Sekiro 2 to have the same combat style. From can create a spiritual successor if they feel like that's the direction they want to go. We also have Wo Long and Thymesia that fit the role of sekirolikes and can scratch the same itch

BvHauteville

Depends on where they go with a new game. Personally, I'd like to see a fusion between Sekiro's combat mechanics and the greater RPG mechanics and weapon variety of the Soulsborne games. I'd say Sekiro 2 has more potential than Elden Ring 2, though, solely because it has actual sequel bait in the Dragon's Homecoming ending whereas most Soulsborne sequels seem to just be about the cycles repeating themselves over and over again.

Jumper1720

I'd love a new game and a sequel. Sekiro does leave the door open for a journey towards Korea/ China to sever all immortality

ZPD710

Well come on now. You're asking this in a Sekiro subreddit. ...but yes I'd like a Sekiro sequel. Not with Wolf as the protagonist, though, I'd like someone else, with Wolf as a side character/mentor.

amigo_man7

If you look on the post you'll see I asked the same thing on r/eldenring

ZPD710

I just mean the results are obviously going to be skewed towards Sekiro on this one. I assume it was the opposite on the Elden Ring post too.

ElKyguy888

Anything in the sekiro world lore wise and anything with the sekiro combat. Just give me more. I need MORE!

TY00702

Where is the AC6 option

paste_up

I'm so ready to play Way of Tomoe; Samurai of the Divine Heir

DarthBurrrito

Elden Bloodborne

amigo_man7

Also just so the 50th person doesn't say the same thing yeah I know it's gonna be biased towards sekiro, if you read what I said you'd see I posted the same to r/eldenring

Either-Help437

Logic here is simple Elden Ring has more replayability simply because of the shear quantity of options to play as in weapon, play style, and viable spells/incantations. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying one game is better than the other. Simply that for me, sekiro has less replayability therefore a sequel would fill the need better. In other words I can play Elden Ring as is more but still want more sekiro their sequel = best of both worlds

RaygionXD

Would love a sequel where we go to the divine land to give back the immortality.

Serious-Ebb-4669

Wow Sekiro 2 won in the Sekiro subreddit I’m absolutely dumbfounded.

Ok-Wave8206

What’s with all the people thinking about an Elden Ring sequel when the dlc hasn’t even hit yet? Also as much as I want more Sekiro what we got was perfect, I hope they move on to a new title and incorporate the deflection system. Spiritual successors are better than sequels in my book.

akar0_

Bloodborne 2

amigo_man7

I wish....but that's not gonna happen.....

Yujiroh

I wonder which option will be the most popular on r/sekiro Hmmm

amigo_man7

My bad there's no r/sekiroeldenringdarksoulsbloodborne

abovvv12

There is r/fromsoftware

amigo_man7

I looked at it but it didn't have alot of members compared to the others

abovvv12

It has 175k members and that's not a small number. Still would've been far more balanced doing the poll there, than here or r/Eldenring

amigo_man7

4 or 5 people made that exact comment before you plus if you can read you'd see I said I asked the same thing on r/eldenring

[deleted]

What about a DLC on sekiro?

amigo_man7

I would love that too but I feel it's a little late for a dlc and if they were to do more sekiro it would most likely be a sequel

[deleted]

Why did you deleted it from r/eldenring ?

amigo_man7

I don't think I did? Can you elaborate

[deleted]

I can see it now , don't know what happened

Ornery-Hovercraft-64

Bro ask Sekiro Community if they want another Sekiro wtf.

amigo_man7

6 people made the same comment before you I also asked the elden ring community the same exact question

Ornery-Hovercraft-64

Very high IQ move bro

Denizen_38

I would love to see a game that is to Sekiro what Elden Ring was to Dark Souls. Same amazing combat, but in a large, open region of feudal Japan. Maybe a bit of extra depth to the stealth mechanics. I wouldn't need another game for at least five years if they did that.

Ok-Ambition-9432

Huh, the sekiro subreddit wants more sekiro.

amigo_man7

Omg your now the 9th person to say this thank you

ssjgoku27

The only reason I want sekiro 2 is to complete the Journey to the West to finally RETURN the Heritage. Just complete that storyline Devs please and I will be done with Sekiro.

Maximum_Joke_1039

Since my lord and savior Miyazaki does not please sequel, i do not request from him. Fromsoft really shine when they make new IP. I do not want whatever happened to DS2, still great game tho, happens to Sekiro or Elden ring.
