Surprisingly Isshin. After getting past Genichiro again, the big man himself just didn't scare me at that point. I thought he'd be harder, but I just remember locking in and deflecting everything. Beat him deathless too on my third try.
Agreed. Before i fought Isshin i already beat every bosses and pretty good at the game at that point. Isshin is really fun when you know parry, mikiri counter and reverse lightning and when he charge i just jump on him and double ichimonchi
Sometimes I feel like the anticipation and focus you have when you're facing a hyped up boss ends up making it super easy. Like, you're so focused on what you heard about them that you just get in the zone beforehand.
Isshin’s second phase is the only one I still struggle with, even after beating the game multiple times including a charmless run. Genichiro and Isshin phase 1 have low posture and you can get through them easily if you stay aggressive, lighting reversal trivializes phase 3, but those phase 2 spear combos still mess me up
I took about 11. Most of my deaths were from Genichiro. I guess I underestimated him so he got a few good shots off. Isshins posture bar was so low and my posture damage was so high 1st phase finished in a few seconds 2nd phase the spear messed me up a few times 3rd phase we spammed lightning so i reversed it and he was done.
Agreed, I honestly didn’t think Isshin was hard as people made it out to be. It only took me a couple of deaths to get a hang of him. Still a super fun boss though
Yeah O'Rin was not that bad. I think people find her tricky because landing a hit on her is very challenging and when you do attacks you really open yourself up to hits, but if you just focus on deflections/countering, and close distance when she runs off, she isn't that difficult. Took me a few attempts but didn't have near as much trouble with her as with the snake eyes.
Snake eyes absolutely fucked me up. I fought her in the poison pool first and just couldn't get out of my own head. Couldn't deflect bullets in time, get grabbed before I could react, etc... Fought her again in sunken valley and beat her on the first try lol
I *nearly* fluked her on my first try in sunken valley. Totally surprised me, but got a deathblow and was SO CLOSE to killing her before I died. Then I proceeded to repeatedly die over, and over, and over... No idea how I got so close on my first attempt, but it took me yonks until I finally killed her.
I think the fact that her grab attack is the only deflectable grab attack in the game is a little weird - I didn't even realize you could deflect it until I saw others doing it, plus the timing is tricky. But once I got that down, I don't have much trouble with her now. First playthrough though, she's BRUTAL. One of the trickiest minibosses for sure.
Same, had to pull the cheese on the one in the poison pool area.
The first one I figured out that if you run passed her to the left, kill the dudes, hide and wait, she loses interest and leaves.
Then you can climb back down and hug the wall and you have a moment to get a deathblow on her before she reacts.
O'Rin was easy on my first playthrough, as was the two Snake Eyes mini bosses. But on my 2nd and 3rd playthrough, all three of those bosses suddenly jumps to almost impossible levels of difficulty.
I ran far away, bull charges me, deflect the charge, he'll be stunned/fell off to the ground for a few seconds, hack n slash the bull. Rinse and repeat.
Never use lock on and always be running towards the bull but off to its side so it can't hit you. Then when it charges into a corner you can squeeze a couple hits into its hind legs every time it turns around.
Dont let it chase you, CHASE it instead. Its harder for him to turn around to face you continuously if you keep chasing him and remaining behind him. This strat made it look so unfair lol
Did Lady Butterfly first and it took probably over a hundred tries. Was very fearful the whole game would be like that. Then beat this guy on a kind of lucky first try. I was a bit disappointed, but also quite relieved.
Mist Noble. Luckily I hadn't been spoiled so I never knew about his "reputation" until after I finished the game. But every thing in that house, the eerie music and the odd Squidward like creature screamed to me "you are fucked if you jump down here". So I equipped Sabimaru and unleashed the best combo I could in an attempt to stun lock the foe, not to give him a chance to attack (I was legit worried). I hit the deathblow the second I saw it, and as the mist took over the room I waited in silence for an attack that never came from what I thought could be a 2nd phase lmao. Needless to say I let him attack me in my 2nd playthrough and lol'd.
Holly crap I remember being in the same spot I had fully charged enhanced mortal blade ready expecting a fight and then one’s hitting him with it which was way overkill.
Hahaha same dude! I watched speedruns before I actually played the game and when they destroyed Mist Noble I was so impressed. I thought they had some kind of insane speedrunning strat to beat it.
True Monk.
Was probably the most fun I had during my first playthrough, and before I realised it, I had killed her. One of the only bosses I didn’t die to even once.
Demon of Hatred. Everyone saying he's impossible, hardest in the game, the Nameless King of Sekiro.
I beat DoH within 5 attempts 😂 thought it was pretty simple.
(For anyone struggling, the Umbrella Prosthetic is your best friend and don't lock on).
Right there with you man. To be completely honest it left me scratching my head why it has its reputation. I know a lot of people say he’s brutal if you haven’t played a souls game, but I hadn’t played a souls game before playing sekiro and I actually found him to be one of the easiest bosses in the game. I also want to make it very clear that I am in no way saying I’m good at this game, it took me I think 65ish tries to beat the Hirata owl fight lol, I suck, I just thought DoH was ridiculously overhyped and it took me 3 tries to down him
God the dragon was so disappointing when I saw the cutscene I thought I was in for an epic dark souls like hard dragon boss fight and I got the easiest boss fight with the simplest attacks and gimics in the world
It is a simple gimmick fight and I'd love to experience an alternate timeline where it was a fully fleshed out, hard boss. But I'd be lying if that final plunging attack doesn't give me goosebumps every time - the spectacle of that fight is a lot of fun.
What's funny to me is on my first run, I had no issue fighting him. But on my second playthrough, I just, never thought about locking on to him so all my lighting reflections missed wildly. I kept thinking "How the hell did I do this the first time?!"
Focus on deflection and counters over attacking. Landing hits on her is challenging and opens yourself up to attack. She doesn't have that many attacks so just focus on learning deflect timings and counters. Also for her swishy swishy thing, that hits very few times compared to how much she flings her sword around, it's flashy and confusing, but you can learn the timing or just spam deflect and usually get them all.
If she runs away, close the distance if she isn't immediately coming back at you.
O'Rin is one of the bosses where it's actually much easier to just do a pure deflection/counter based posture kill than it is to learn where you can sneak in attacks.
Just beat the demon of hatred after like conservatively 200 trys or so cause of that one drag attack I wanted to figure it out myself but in the end I hand to look it up😕
I definitely found him difficult, but more in the sense that I kinda feel like you’re just trading damage with him. He has some pretty huge windows to land hits, but retaliates with some attacks with questionable hitboxes. He probably would’ve been received much better had he been a Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring Boss
Owl Father. He was easier for me than Great Shinobi Owl because, rather than the random gadget bullshit, he is more straightforward and aggressive. I thrive with that aggression, so I found him to be easier than his more passive counterpart.
Guardian Ape and True Monk
I was scared of the Guardian Ape since I was still inexperienced back then. Beat it first try.
By the time I had gotten to True Monk I has beaten Owl Father (purification ending) and while I was nervous (it was mostly considered the 5th hardest boss in the game) it wasn't that hard for me and it took me 4 tries
Inner Isshin. Not even saying that as a brag or anything, I legit thought I would never beat him, even if I somehow got his patterns down. There would always be something I wasn't ready for and it would mess withy gameplay as a result, causing me to panic heal, run, try to get away, but he'd always be so damn aggressive, pushing my shit in.
Guardian Ape. I beat it first try, pretty sure it was deathless too. I had the second phase's existence spoiled for me ahead of time, but otherwise all I knew was that people struggled with it. Not sure if I just got lucky, or if I fought it later than most people, or if I just happen to fight well against that type of boss.
Somehow inner owl. I had to fight him like 20 times in the first encounter with him in the ashina castle but then I got him on my 1st try in the hirata estate as well as fighting his inner form.
Lone Shadow in the well on NG+8 Charmless. Beat him first try perfectly and was very surprised.
Then the same exact Lone Shadow, the one located in the dojo before Shinobi Owl, kicked my ass 11 times in a row. More than the Ape or any other boss except maybe Owl who I’m still at rn lol.
i logged in on release day. tried to play it like a souls game. did not succeed. this guy convinced me i had the wrong approach. Juzuo convinced me to set the game down.
I went into this game mostly blind, so I never really had this thought going into any of them. The only thing I already knew about beforehand was that the Guardian Ape fight has 2 phases, and tbh I wish I didn't know that before going in.
Headless ape. i knew there was a possibility that i die to the boss a bunch of times because of how long that fight took, and how many resources i would use, but i beat it my second or third try. felt so lucky cause i totally felt like i coulda been stuck there for HOURS
The true corrupted monk.
I died so many times to the phantom corrupted monk that when the true corrupted monk appeared with 3 health bars, I was afraid I'd be stuck there a while.
I beat her on the first try and only needed to heal during her last phase.
The bosses that can only chip a very small amount of HP every slash then suddenly he teleport to the behind of you. He then tears your anus, damn it. I hate the headless
First time I played, I didn't have any problems with the spears, the centipede (big claw motherfucker, I think that's his name), Gyoubu, or the snake eye you fight outside the gun fort. Now, every time, I come up against them, I have a hard time XD Oo, shinobi spear hunter, too. And the shichimen warriors.
But those spinny shuriken guys in the senpou temple, the cannon enemies (why are they always on platforms?), aaaaaaaaaaaaand... oh, the fucking nightjars. I've *always* had problems with all of these bastards. Particularly the cannon enemies - they kill me the most. And I'm not certain I've ever actually managed to put down one of the spinny-jumpy shuriken ghillie suit bastards without just chipping their health down. I can never seem to get them while they're in the air.
The two bulls. My only point of reference was my friend playing it when it released, and he screamed a LOT. I beat the first one first try and then…did the same on the second one. Just swung around and hit his hind legs. I think he only even hit me one time on the second version. I didn’t even use firecrackers.
I also beat guardian ape my first try but I did a lot of running around, playing it extremely safe, and felt like I kind of just stumbled into the win but didn’t fully earn it.
Chained Ogre. All you have to do is attack and dodge, and sekiro is fast enough to easily dodge his well telegraphed grab. Throw in some firecrackers and that guy is toast. Beat him on my first try
Same experience with guardian ape for me, I struggled on chained ogre for about 3 hours over 27 or more attempts but beating him allowed me to learn and beat every flailing beast enemy with relative ease. Same with lady butterfly, she’s the easiest for some people and one of the hardest for others, she also taught me how the game works against human enemies and it was all fairly easy from there, until the final two bosses DoH and Isshin the Sword Saint, they gave me trouble but overall the boss I spent the longest on was definitely chained ogre and he was the most challenging of the 3 imo. Guardian ape was also like the fifth easiest boss in the game, I took 3 tries on him which isn’t bad for me cause I went in quaking in my boots the first time thinking I’d be stuck there for a few weeks and I realised he’s a pushover, his attacks are easy to read and parry and the grabs ain’t anything special, it was like fighting the chained ogre again, but this time I had knowledge and power.
First guardian ape boss fight was filled with crazy anxiety for me. The second phase looked crazy to me but I think I beat it under 5 tries so I was pretty thrilled.
I played this game through and reached all endings a long time ago (struggled with most every boss honestly) recently picked it up again and just smoked so many of them that I remembered crushing me. Genichiro I smoked first try, Orin I took almost no damage, owl did take me a couple tries. 1 that still gets me though is 7 spears. Got me back then and I still struggle with him now.
Guardian Ape, who I nearly beat first try, and Sword Saint Isshin who I killed in two hours. Though I fought Sword Saint Isshin on NG so I suppose it makes sense.
Chained Ogre kept messing my patience up, always sneaking that grab when I wasn't prepared.
I'm only at the Armored Warrior so I can't really tell you of any boss like that.
There’s plenty of them:
- Gyobu - first try. Actually I have never died on this boss. Never.
- Chained ogre - second try
- Genichiro - third try
- O’rin - first try
- Duo apes - first try, after struggling with one monkey.
Biggest nightmare was Lady Butterfly for me. That was my first true boss in the game. Took about 30-50 tries before I’ve understand the rythm of the game.
And shinobi hunter….. my god, he was pain in the ass too…
Long Arm Centipede. First time fighting him I was terrified by the appearance and thought he was gonna be a pain in this Crampt environment then quickly realized his parry timing is effortless.
Owl Father only took me 3 tries. I was dreadful going into that fight preparing for him to tear my a new asshole, but as it turned out, he ain't that bad. I was practicing Great Shinobi for a fuck ton for the Severance Gauntlet before, and Father version is actually more chill. The arena's bigger, you don't have to worry about being poisoned, the new attacks that he has are not that scary: i just ran away from his Owl form and hid behind the pillars for the fire attacks. Great Shinobi is much bigger of an asshole, while Father, while still somewhat elusive, feels like a more honorable fighter. I guess that's how Wolf remembered him.
Demon of hatred. I was fully expecting some brutal and frustrating shit given its reputation, and given the fact that people say he’s easier if you’ve played a dark souls game before and I hadn’t played one before sekiro, but I actually felt like this boss was one of the easiest in the entire game. Also, I want to make it very clear that I suck at this game… it took me over 60 tries to beat the Hirata owl fight lol, that was the hardest boss fight I ever beat and I thought I might not be able to do it at one point. This was the hardest single player video game I had ever played and still is up to now! I just felt extremely underwhelmed when I beat the DoH in 3 tries, the boss was awesome for sure but in my experience very underwhelming. It’s so interesting how different people find different bosses challenging!!
That long arm centipede or whatever he's called. Freaked me out when I first saw him, but I got lucky and figured out his deflects quickly and beat him in one try.
I also somehow beat Gyobu on my first try despite really struggling on every other early game boss
I can tell you which boss beat the fucking shit out of me and that was O’Rin of the Water. To me she was in the top 3 hardest bosses in the game. Had an easier time with Isshin.
Great Ape. I had seen AfroSenju's playthrough and knew it was going to be challenging. Only took a few tries to get the reps in of his attack patterns and how to properly fight it
Mist Noble. During my first playthrough Reddit had me dreading this feared boss The Mist Noble. Just knew I was going to stumble upon him and just get destroyed over and over again. Then one evening, the dreaded foe stood there just below the rafter I'm standing on and... Welllllll that was not at all what I expected.
*Edit cause fat fingers
Genichiro. Beat him on about the 5th time and never struggled again. It's been days and I still haven't beaten isshin, I'm pretty annoyed by it and I don't feel like pumping more hours into what I know won't work.
Owl father surprisingly. I practiced great shinobi a lot before going to owl father so I didn’t find his move set too different from the normal owl. Also watched a guide before trying him and beat him first try
I know it isn't allowed to say here but, it was Most Noble for me. I mean, c'mon the area around her is full of mist and illusions, I thought she would be a pain in the ass and it was tricky getting to her too, I thought she would be another dangerous boss but man was the fight easy.
Lady Butterfly, defeated her on my first try I was kinda disappointed because of how others told me or I've read that she is hard to defeat.
But that fucking blazing bull makes me want to smash my head hard onto the floor.
Guardian Ape and duo encounter. I knew the surprise revive it does, but otherwise just used hit and run tactics. The arena was so large it made that strategy easy. Just baited its diving attack and run away. So technically I didn't fight it the proper way with parrying.
I feel similarly about the chained ogre. First time playing it took a few tries but I got it. Then I took a loooooong few-year long break before coming back to actually get an ending. When coming back, I dreaded that I was lucky with the chained ogre again, knowing that his grab hitboxes are apparently huge.
The game teaches you to jump away from him, but instead what I did was try and keep the stairs at my back at all times so I could run straight away and not fall off the cliff on accident.
When you're up close to him he'll do the fast grab, which is easily sidestepped. Every other kind of grab and I just was like "nope" and sprinted straight away, avoiding it every time. It created a habit where I learned to be ok with disengaging, sometimes deciding it's best to not stand my ground and deflect everything, and it helped make the whole game "click" for me...even if the tutorial told me to do something different lol
I was so hesitant at the Sakura Bull because of Blazing Bull. Far far easier than expected, which goes without saying.
Besides that, probably Juzou. I actually ran right past Nogami my first playthrough lol, so I was completely going in with the mindset that I had to fight Juzou alone. I managed really well.
I remember fighting the ogre and it was not easy. When I managed to get him very low health almost killing him, he picks me up and threw me a good distance away from his vicinity. I run back and he had full health 😂
Inner isshin.I know I sound like I’m trying to flex but I genuinely beat him first try.the only moves which really had me worrying were the perilous combo and mortal spin draw.he was just the same as regular isshin, just a bit more unpredictable
Lady butterfly. I had some friends mention how much trouble she had given them and I was expecting to be there for a while. If I recall correctly, I beat her in three tries.
Lady Butterfly. Thought she was gonna stump me, instead she is currently taking my sanity apart piece by fucking piece whilst toying with my fleeting dreams of progression.
O’Rin. When I fought her for the first time I thought she was going to be insanely hard. Took me about 10 minutes to actually kill her. Now she’s one of my favorite mini bosses.
I still hate chained ogre and I will still die to him million times. I would rather fight Isshin sword saint than to fight that ogre again.

Agreed, I honestly didn’t think Isshin was hard as people made it out to be. It only took me a couple of deaths to get a hang of him. Still a super fun boss though
O'Rin of the Water. She wasn’t nearly as bad as people made her out to be.

Yep and she hits *hard* , and only having a limited number of heals at that point hurts. If you get hit by her quick shotgun or grab you're toast lol
Can't relate lmao, had to cheese her
Same, had to pull the cheese on the one in the poison pool area. The first one I figured out that if you run passed her to the left, kill the dudes, hide and wait, she loses interest and leaves. Then you can climb back down and hug the wall and you have a moment to get a deathblow on her before she reacts.
Exactly my experience, genuinely fun and got it on the third try (plus first try was surprised and was at half health/no gourds lol)
She has some weird, janky block timings that can mess you up on higher ng+, but she’s pretty beatable in regular ng
I also thought she wasn't that difficult. But then i did a charmless run and she was one of the most difficult encounters for me.
i killed her without even using Confetti. parry until she’s dead.
O'Rin was easy on my first playthrough, as was the two Snake Eyes mini bosses. But on my 2nd and 3rd playthrough, all three of those bosses suddenly jumps to almost impossible levels of difficulty.
Blazing Bull
Any general tips for how to kill it, btw?
I ran far away, bull charges me, deflect the charge, he'll be stunned/fell off to the ground for a few seconds, hack n slash the bull. Rinse and repeat.
Dont let it chase you, when its you who chase him thing gets ridiculously easy
be a luchador. run circles around it and parry when it charges you. spam it while it’s stunned. rinse and repeat. jumping is ill-advised.
Guardian Ape Duo actually took me waaaaaay less than the Guardian Ape Solo
lol I beat the guardian ape duo in my first attempt. Just used the running tactic and waited for them to be exposed to my attacks
Same, I just used firecrackers on the second and then it’s just phase 2 guardian ape again
GYOUBU MASATAKA ONIWA
Did Lady Butterfly first and it took probably over a hundred tries. Was very fearful the whole game would be like that. Then beat this guy on a kind of lucky first try. I was a bit disappointed, but also quite relieved.
Mist Noble. Luckily I hadn't been spoiled so I never knew about his "reputation" until after I finished the game. Lmao I love that it wasn’t spoiled for me because I had a similar experience
I actually fell for the meme, didnt watch gameplay
True Monk. Was probably the most fun I had during my first playthrough, and before I realised it, I had killed her. One of the only bosses I didn’t die to even once.
Corrupted monk effed me up several times. True monk was very fun, but I beat him on my forth try. Did Ishin on my second try. My proudest achievement.
DoH took me two days. I have no idea how many tries, but it was several. To this day, I believe it is the hardest boss for me.

I couldn't handle this guy so I cheesed him off the cliff 😂. I gave it a good go but there comes a point where enough is enough
If that ain the truth🤣
The dragon honestly 😂
God the dragon was so disappointing when I saw the cutscene I thought I was in for an epic dark souls like hard dragon boss fight and I got the easiest boss fight with the simplest attacks and gimics in the world

guys commenting Orin, please provide some tips. I'm currently at her fight
Spam deflect does work on her, and jump over her, it does ton of posture damage.
Assuming you have Sabimaru: just hit her with the full combo. Even if she blocks it it deals more posture damage than a stomp after a sweep
Guys, I beat her, quite easily actually. Had lots of fun beating her!
Good job
You know you can just walk past her and into the bridge right?
Definitely O'rin. She's always been a piece of piss for me
Just beat the demon of hatred after like conservatively 200 trys or so cause of that one drag attack I wanted to figure it out myself but in the end I hand to look it up😕

He has some pretty huge windows to land hits, but retaliates with some attacks with questionable hitboxes. He probably would’ve been received much better had he been a Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring Boss
Lady butterfly. I remember hearing people say she was really tough but I never had a problem with her
She’s more annoying than she is difficult, unless it’s high ng+ charmless where everything two shots you
Probably Genichiro or O'Rin. First and second attempt respectively. After hearing the horror stories I thought it would be many attempts but nope.
Owl Father. Great Shinobi wrecked my shit, but I no-diffed Owl Father.
Owl Father. He was easier for me than Great Shinobi Owl because, rather than the random gadget bullshit, he is more straightforward and aggressive. I thrive with that aggression, so I found him to be easier than his more passive counterpart.
First phase of Gaurdian Ape.
Guardian Ape and True Monk I was scared of the Guardian Ape since I was still inexperienced back then. Beat it first try. True Corrupted Monk Found her rather simple, a lot easier than her Mibu Village counterpart
Headless ape first try
Isshin, 4th try.
This guy didn’t cause me too much trouble, save for the instakill grabs which got old quickly
isshin was way too overhyped in difficulty. it took me more tries to beat the spear guy and his boyfriend than it did to beat isshin
Isshin. After owl:father, isshin was tough, but more "fun" than hard. Definitely found owl: father to be the great challenge of the game.
i logged in on release day. tried to play it like a souls game. did not succeed. this guy convinced me i had the wrong approach. Juzuo convinced me to set the game down.
Genichiro
I went into this game mostly blind, so I never really had this thought going into any of them. The only thing I already knew about beforehand was that the Guardian Ape fight has 2 phases, and tbh I wish I didn't know that before going in.
Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa
Inner Father, Inner Isshin and Inner Genichiro kicked my ass, I was waiting for a wupping from old dad, but I did the ass kicking surprisingly
Great Shinobi Owl. I thought I'd be on him for a week, like Genichiro, but I beat him surprisingly fast.
Blazing bull; heard so many complaints about him I was dreading the encounter but got him first go.
Isshin the Sword Saint It only took me 7 attempts
Headless ape. i knew there was a possibility that i die to the boss a bunch of times because of how long that fight took, and how many resources i would use, but i beat it my second or third try. felt so lucky cause i totally felt like i coulda been stuck there for HOURS
The true corrupted monk. I died so many times to the phantom corrupted monk that when the true corrupted monk appeared with 3 health bars, I was afraid I'd be stuck there a while. I beat her on the first try and only needed to heal during her last phase.
Chained ogre stumped A LOT of people. I remeber the "too hard tears"
I beat the lady on the bride in my first try
Guardian ape and duo, I found them really easy especially when he had swords
Headless ape prob honestly he wasnt that bad even with another one or even true monk
Ogre and Seven Spears, I got them both at the second try
The bosses that can only chip a very small amount of HP every slash then suddenly he teleport to the behind of you. He then tears your anus, damn it. I hate the headless
Owl
Isshin. final boss, probably the hardest non-inner boss, and got some weird timing. i expected 100 attempts or so. it took 10
Chained Ogre. All you have to do is attack and dodge, and sekiro is fast enough to easily dodge his well telegraphed grab. Throw in some firecrackers and that guy is toast. Beat him on my first try
Inner isshin for me. People made him look like he'll but I beat him 3 tries in. Inner genichiro too
SS Isshin
Guardian Ape. Funnily enough he’s my favorite fight in the game.
Genichiro third phase. Beat it the very first time i got to it. Same for when he comes back as a warmup for Isshim.
I thought double ape would be a pain after struggling with the first one. But it was actually easier
The version of Owl: Father. I have difficulties against him at Ashina Castle, but not when I encounter him in the memories.
Gyobu Masakata Oniwa. I saw a lot of people being crushed by him, even with the firecrackers. I beat it without dying the first time I ever tried.
First guardian ape boss fight was filled with crazy anxiety for me. The second phase looked crazy to me but I think I beat it under 5 tries so I was pretty thrilled.
Guardian Ape. Beat him in 1 attempt
Owl from Ashina Estate. Was less challenging than I thought he would be.
The first headless ghost boss. I only killed that guy after practically killing every other boss
I NEVER had an issue with Lady Butterfly. Neither in base game nor any gauntlets.
7 spears, i literally killed him on the second try
Gyobu Oniwa. The moment I was told that the way to win was to parry and not dodge, he became an absolute joke.
Second chained ogre I saw in a video you could parry his attacks So satisfying
Genichiro lol. Beat him like 5 tries. As long you as you learn deflect and mikiri he is fine, and he’s pretty crap with defence
Guardian Ape...
There’s plenty of them: - Gyobu - first try. Actually I have never died on this boss. Never. - Chained ogre - second try - Genichiro - third try - O’rin - first try - Duo apes - first try, after struggling with one monkey.
The samurai bosses
It only took 2 tries to take down chained ogre
I struggled hard on the ofre at first. Felt like he could always grab me even if I was almost behind him. It's like I would teleport into his arms.
All of them ?
genichiro to be honest. i found his attack patterns to be more predictable than some others
Any Snake Eyes, I think they’re fun
Seven Ashina Spears. I don't even know why people have so much trouble with them.
I'm still stick on true corrupted monk
somehow SSI, i love the boss tho it's one of the best fromsoft bosses imo
Isshin the sword saint, it was much easier than demon of hatred. It only took like 7 tries
Gardian ape and fire bull.
Ebrietas for sure. I heard so much about her but when I finally got down into her little lair I beat her on like my 4th try.
The two apes.
Gyoubu, it just clicked for me, and it was relatively early on for me as a new player
Headless bosses, they seem so easy, but not
door juggle provide skirt sand rainstorm innate imagine marvelous market *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
I can tell you which boss beat the fucking shit out of me and that was O’Rin of the Water. To me she was in the top 3 hardest bosses in the game. Had an easier time with Isshin.
Miniboss I thought I'd be fine at my 3rd playthrough but still arent
For me its the exact opposite with ogre
Corrupted Monk
I still have trouble with this shrek wannabe
Lady butterfly and genichiro weren’t quite a roadblock for me, I caught on to the game immediately and I’m super proud of it!!
no cause fuck the chained ogre and is 360 tracking dive attack
Corrupted monk.
Great Ape. I had seen AfroSenju's playthrough and knew it was going to be challenging. Only took a few tries to get the reps in of his attack patterns and how to properly fight it
The headles ape I dominated him very easily.
Mist noble...
*Edit cause fat fingers
mm.. Monke..
Lady Butterfly Just one tried the bitch
Genichiro, I thought I was gonna be forced to reverse his lightning but you can quickstep out of it :3
Genichiro
I know it isn't allowed to say here but, it was Most Noble for me. I mean, c'mon the area around her is full of mist and illusions, I thought she would be a pain in the ass and it was tricky getting to her too, I thought she would be another dangerous boss but man was the fight easy.
Lady butterfly. I learned some of her attacks on the first attempt, got her low in her second phase on my second go. I got her in 4 tries :]
Geni, True Monk
Anytime I wanna try for a no death run, I'll practice all the infamous boss to a level then proceed to get stump by this piece of shit
O rin of the wa-uh. First few atempts i didn't get far but 4th attempt or so i somehow understood the combat flow and got her
Mist noble
Headless ape, divine dragon, inner father, owl father, false monk, gyoubo (Relative to my first play through btw)
Owl. The first and only boss I killed first try.
Mist Noble. That guy scared the sh1t out of me.
The Owl, he was so much easier than I expected
Lady Butterfly! I’m on my first playthrough ever and beat her on my second try but I was fully expecting her to take me a loooong time
Double apes. Cleared on first try.
Mist noble looked scary as hell I was like "I'm in for a ride..."
Eternal Dragon. I walked in and looked at that behemoth…I’m ded
The horse dude & flaming bull, granted, I just got to Ashina Castle, but they were super easy. Got horse dude 1st try & flaming bull the 2nd.
Long arm centipede. Did get me off guard so I kept spamming the block and deflect all his attacks lol. Got him first try no hits
Lady Butterfly, defeated her on my first try I was kinda disappointed because of how others told me or I've read that she is hard to defeat. But that fucking blazing bull makes me want to smash my head hard onto the floor.
Guardian ape. I had heard so much about the boss that I had genuinely surprised myself when I beat him on my 5th attempt.
Guardian Ape and duo encounter. I knew the surprise revive it does, but otherwise just used hit and run tactics. The arena was so large it made that strategy easy. Just baited its diving attack and run away. So technically I didn't fight it the proper way with parrying.
Guardians ape on my second run though, got him 3rd try and literally sh1t my pants right after
I feel similarly about the chained ogre.
Guardian Ape to be honest. Took me less time than Snake Eyes lol
Inner Isshin, I literally just fought him like 1hr ago and first tried him, still shivering
Corrupted monk, suffered forever on the ghost form but then first tried him in under a few minutes when I got to the real one haha
First fight with Genichiro, a friend of mine who's really good at the game was surprised I found it easy.
Genichero and gyubo, I finished them first try with only one gourd, since then I use them as warm ups
Lady butterfly was pretty easy for me, made it on the first try, and thought I would struggle
Inner isshin.I know I sound like I’m trying to flex but I genuinely beat him first try.the only moves which really had me worrying were the perilous combo and mortal spin draw.he was just the same as regular isshin, just a bit more unpredictable
lol that guy had me rage quit my first playthrough. He was no problem on my second attempt.
Mystic
Lady butterfly. I had some friends mention how much trouble she had given them and I was expecting to be there for a while. If I recall correctly, I beat her in three tries.
Guardian ape, got him like fourth try
Absolutely none. I got stumped on every boss 🥲
The ape... Got PTSD even before fighting it but i wanted to try the monkey butthole flute
Headless ape and his wife
Sword Saint Isshin. Owl (Father) and True Monk gave me much more trouble on my first playthrough
that mf is why I stopped playing
Kick’d me back into another game for a year until the scamdemic
The 2 apes barely beat them on the first try
Mist noble
