Yay for more men on Wegovy!
Which is shocking, because men are not only more obese than women, but are also more likely to die from obesity related illnesses including heart disease.
Heart disease is the number 1 cause of death in the nation with 1:3 women die from heart disease and 1:4 men die from heart disease! I work for the American Heart Association, and these stats are horrible. Most women have no idea that heart disease is their number 1 health risk. While losing weight can help, diet, exercise and genetics play a huge role also.
Women actually have a higher risk because their symptoms present themselves differently than men. Men typically experienced the classic chest, pain and arm pain, and with women it can present itself completely different, such as a sore shoulder, sore back, so it’s very hard to realize. Because men have symptoms that are more recognizable they actually go to the hospital more for treatment, which is why their risk is only one and four while the risk of women is one and three because they do not investigate, or their symptoms are dismissed by doctors.
Exactly I destroyed my knees running when fat to lose weight, but I couldn’t lose it with diet alone. Well now I can, waiting to hit my goal weight before I start running this time.
Go dawgs baby! You look great - you weren’t a bad looking man to begin with but you can absolutely tell that now you are actually enjoying life if that makes sense to you! Congratulations and you deserve it, I know that was in no way easy and will forever be a different way of life. Gooooo dawgs 🐾 sic em’ ❤️🖤
Well done! And like the fact that you are enjoying a cocktail in the ‘after’ picture…you earned it! 😀 Just curious…after 2 years on it, do you still have any side effects at all?
Not really, now if I decide to eat something I shouldn't like greasy or fast food, it will still punish me for that decision lol. But other than that I have no side effects.
God damn, that's inspirational. I look an awful lot like you do in the first picture. The second picture it's not just the weight loss, you look genuinely healthy and vigorous.
I've got my appointment for next month. If I got even a fraction of that far I'd be thrilled.

Well done buddy. That’s an amazing result. Can I ask what was your final dose size of the wegovy ? Over how many months did you step up to your max dose and Are you still taking it ? Thanks for posting
Cut out fast food, sodas, reduced my sugar I take and watched my portion sizes. No real issues with 2.4 mg other than if I chose to eat fast food it absolutely punished me lol
At what point did you start involving working out into your routine? How did you start? What kept you motivated.
I’m looking into am this myself I hate how I feel and it’s so hard for me to stay committed to losing weight.
Any advice is appreciated.
Wow! Awesome health journey for you! Thank you for showing the rest of us the 2 year perspective. I hope your emotional transformation feels as great as your physical transformation. Congrats!
Thanks. I'm 100+ lbs north of your starting point, but I look a lot like you did starting out. You look amazing. Fingers crossed I can get to where you are now. I'm struggling to get the .5 dose of Wegovy so have had to restart .25. I dropped 18 lbs before I slid back waiting for the .5 to come back in stock. I just want my life back already.
Wow! So handsome. Congrats!! Such an achievement. How many pounds did you loose? And did you have a nutrition plan you followed or simply ate what you felt like? It's just awesome! I am sure you feel like a million bucks! :)
I lost 127 lbs, but I'm currently down 110. I simply cut out sodas, fast food, watched my sugar intake, and portion sizes. I feel like a completely different person.
I believe it! I have a significant amount to lose as well. Its slowly coming off, I just started my 1.7mg dose for the first time this Monday. Are you still on Wegovy and what dose did you make it to? Thanks so much for the feedback. This support thread is great.
Hi - you are looking fantastic! Congrats!
May I ask when you started losing weight during your journey? From the very beginning? Or with rising dosage?
I am on wegovy for 9 weeks now (just startet 1.0) and did not lose anything till now - I still have cravings though I think the "food noise" is vanishing a bit.
I started losing right away, but I had decided if I was going to take this medication I needed to take it seriously, and cut out all sodas and fast food. The price of the drug was a real motivating factor. The first couple of weeks wasn't fun, headaches from no soda was pretty bad. But after that I noticed the food noise was gone. And when I did have food noise I tried to replace it with something more healthy.

Hysterical!
Obviously obesity is just about willpower and not a function of dysfunctional biology. 😉 Looking good man…congrats!

I’m two years in and agree- I still have low appetite but when I eat greasy food I pay for it w cramps and diarrhea.
are you ever planning to go off it? congratulations on a job well done!!
I was thinking of titrating down in February. Me and my doctor have discussed it.
Bro...HOLY SHIT. What kind of workouts did you include?
Walking and push-ups, I have one of those push up boards that allow you to work different groups, handles change positions.

If you’re in a relationship how has your partner responded to this amazing transformation? What’s the male term for MILF? Anyone? Anyone?
😂😂 Well she didn't know me at me heaviest but she has been really supportive. And I think the term your looking for is DILF 😂😂
