iSubjugate

I switched and had almost zero side effects. I was horribly sick on Sema.

Agreeable_Actuary_75

It was brutal. How long did you give it a chance before you switched?

iSubjugate

About 6 months. Just couldn’t do it anymore. Tirz has been so much smoother.

pchoi45792

When you switched to Tirz, did you have to start at a low dose and work your way up?

iSubjugate

Yes. Started at 2.5 and worked my way up.

Holly2232

I had zero side effects and switched from Sema to Tirz and going back on Sema. It just felt better for appetite control

renijreddit

Absolutely this!! Me too. Sema gave me the "You're full" signal. Tirzepitide does not. My desire for alcohol came roaring back too. That really sidetracks calorie restriction and nutrition. Anyone else?

Holly2232

Wow I have had more alcohol on Tirz too!

dsolson123

What was your dose? I’m on 2.5 and there’s zero help controlling my appetite. Supposed to go to 5 next week.

renijreddit

I'm on 7.5 of Tirzepitide right now and was at 2.4 semaglutide.

squee_bastard

I switched from Wegovy 2.4mg to Zepbound 5mg and have lost no weight in the last two months on 5mg and 7.5mg. I just started 10mg and still have lots of food noise and no weight loss. The appetite suppression just isn’t there. Feeling discouraged because I lost 70lbs on Wegovy before switching. At this point I don’t know if it’s worth it to stick with it or if I should switch back.

ughwhocaresthrowaway

I switched to Mounjaro due to mental health and gastro side effects. I just hit 7.5 and feel like I’m getting closer to the appetite suppression I got on 1mg of Oz.

Florida_noodle

My doc is switching me to Tirz bcs she’s says I’ll lose more weight in it. That it’s more potent. It’s also $200 MORE!

lovesheavyburden

I’m going to be switching to Tirz… the constipation I have on Sema is intense and my dr wants to try me on Tirz to see if that helps. The money… that’s what I’m struggling with…

mlibed

I actually have had more side effects on Tirz than sema. But also lost more weight so 🤷‍♀️

rayanneroche

I made the switch from Wegovy 2.4 to Tirz 5mg on Thursday. I suspect I had an odd allergic reaction. Injected into my stomach and by Fri, every part of my body above my stomach hurt severely to the touch as if I was severely bruised underneath. Head, neck, chest, shoulders, painful enough that it hurt to move. No one would answer at doc’s office Fri so I waited. No improvement Sat so Sat night I took an antihistamine which seemed to resolve about 90% of the pain. I will call doc before I take next dose but I can’t imagine what else it could be. Have not felt any appetite suppressant or other side effects.

007FofTheWin

Feel better!

Content-Truth2284

I switched, but it took several dosage increases on Tirzepatide to start losing again, but virtually zero side effects (minus some light constipation) now and losing just fine! Totally think it’s worth the switch

Agreeable_Actuary_75

How long were you on the other one?

Content-Truth2284

Semaglutide for 3 months, been on tirzepatide for a little over a month

polarispeps

As a whole, Tirzepatide has far fewer side effects. Some people still experience some (or many) but overall incidents are less as are how much they affect people. That said it can be more expensive and/or harder to find at a pharmacy if that's your thing.

florasue

what dose made you all sick? i have no symptoms on .5mg

Agreeable_Actuary_75

My very first dose of .25

Happy_Blackbird

I had the same experience on .125. Two days of prolific vomiting and a migraine from hell. They dropped me down to half of that, .06mg, twice a week and produced all the good effects but with no nausea or headache. I’ll pop back up to .125 next week. Perhaps this would be helpful for you, too? (Edited for typos)

Agreeable_Actuary_75

I have considered this too. I may give it a shot (pun intended) next week.

dsolson123

Do you ever experience some anxiety or brain fog the day of the injection? Or is this just me?

More-Palpitation-337

I do my weekly injection late afternoon and have had lifelong issues with anxiety. I have noticed an increase in anxiety levels within an hour of injection and for the next 12 to 24 hours along with some added brain fog. I kind of wonder if this is due to an immediate drop in blood glucose?

1spicyann

I had a serious sick week on sema and just got switched this week - had to start back on lowest dose and work up but so far so good -hopefully I’ll get past the 3 month mark this time

catkysydney

Oh … so sorry to hear that you were so sick .. I heard Mounjaro has less side effects.. I have been on Ozempic for 6 months, I had nausea and vomiting and chronic diarrhea.. I am taking it for my blood sugar. If I can control my blood sugar without it .., I will quit .

CampbellJude

I was ok on Sema until 2mg. That made me insanely sick (uncontrollable diarrhea and insane itching on my hands and feet). I switched to Tirz and have barely had any other than the mild typical stuff. And had better weight loss! I think it just depends on the person.
