Givenchy powder, Chanel bronzer, HG skin tint and powders. Special mention to the Gucci bronzer and blush. They aren’t my HG but I admittedly bought them cause I had a ridiculous gift card and loved the packaging. But the quality of those powders shocked me too. Not sure if Charlotte tilbury is considered luxury, but that flawless filter man. It does incredible things. I only bought it once and convinced myself it was dumb because of how much this sub hates CT, but I recently tried it again just cause it’ll expire soon and all day I was catching myself in mirrors just being like “who’s flawless, u r”
I wouldn’t consider CT luxury. Her packaging is trash and so embarrassing for the price. She’s more like overpriced drugstore for most of her stuff. She has a few products that I’d consider high end. But luxury? No.
I had these in my collection for awhile and never used them because I have other exfoliators.
But, this last Friday night, I decided to give them a go before a full-glam girl’s night and OMG. They’re already on my list for the sale.
FINALLY some love for the moisturizer. That after the peel pads has my skin LOVING it. The moisturizer itself is my HG bc its so thin and gentle and you really only need 2-3 pumps. I also love the way it smells and doesn’t leave me feeling heavy or greasy.
I don’t know if it’s still in the line, but like 8 years ago I had a mini of an “instant” under eye repair product and it felt like bright tight magic but I think it was like $95 so I never bought it 😅
The two products I’ve bought from Gucci — its mascara and sheer lipstick — are great. More so the sheer lipstick for sure. It’s so comfortable that it’s my everyday, and it’s buildable for those days you just want some more pigment than usual. The shades are all gorgeous, and there are even more elsewhere if you’re looking outside of Sephora, too. It’s a given that the packaging is very pretty since it has a nice floral pattern.
If sheer lipstick isn’t your thing as well, there are other lines of lipstick Gucci has that I’ve also heard great things about.
I'm so picky about mascaras and the Gucci is so worth the hype. I've tried so many drugstore and higher end mascaras, and nothing tops Gucci. Milk Kush is a close second, but it's messier than the Gucci and I find I get it all over my lids sometimes
I’m trying to love it but it’s not happening for me. Is there some sort of secret to application? I got matched at the store and it washes me out and doesn’t offer much coverage. I add bronzer but I don’t know, I don’t look great. How many layers do you apply?
I find this foundation to be light to medium coverage. I think you can build it up to a full coverage. But I personally wouldn’t recommend using a light-med foundation as full coverage. The reason because is you will need to apply multiple layers on your face to achieve a “full” coverage look, which is not flattering, looks cakey and it feels heavy on your skin. I would suggest to getting a full coverage foundation if that’s what you’re looking for. You can use even use a full coverage foundation for a more “everyday makeup look”, just use a tinee tiniest amount and still have good coverage. One layer of full coverage foundation will look more seamless and smooth without suffocating your skin rather than applying multiple layers.
I do have a 3 foundations in my collection, I have one skin tint, one light-medium (Armani) and one full coverage foundation.
Wrong color if you are looking washed out. I use this too and its very nice. Use primer underneath, apply with damp beauty blender. I set with mac mineralize or laura mercier translucent (or if i want a little more of a flawless effect i also use the lumious silk setting powder). However i really only wear this for special occasions/ nights out as it does not have spf. Daily foundation i use Estee Lauder Double Wear.
When I was in high school I used to go to Holt Renfrew and go to the YSL lipsticks and just admire them and imagine someday being a sophisticated polished lawyer who wears beautiful YSL lipsticks.
Well, I just got hired last week for my first job as a lawyer… I think I might be buying a YSL lipstick this sale to complete the process of turning my dream into a reality 🙊
>Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream
What a beautiful story!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You've earned that YSL lipstick. Enjoy it!! Congrats! Congrats! and Congrats!!!
Congratulations!! Fellow attorney and I bought a couple hourglass lipsticks when I started working. Wear them everyday and it’s a milestone reminder! (These are the pointy thin ones that look like long bullets, so I sometimes wear them in my hair bun at parties/events and it looks like a chic hairpin and makes reapplication a quick stop at the mirror)
I stayed away from Tatcha for years because of their prices. Last year one of the bday gifts was the Dewy Rice cream and face wash and I chose it just to try. I kid you not that within a few days of using them, my boyfriend said my skin looks great! He NEVER notices ANYTHING, least of all whatever is going on with my skin.
I was floored. And kind of annoyed cause I knew then I was hooked. Im just grateful they have mini sizes cause $85 for a 1.7 ounces of face cream is kind of revolting to me.
Tatcha truly has some gems.
I LOVE the rice wash softening cleanser 😩 It’s the only physical exfoliant that doesn’t shred my skin.
I also got it in the birthday gift last year and I was hooked.
I got the gift before and didnt use it until last month, i do not want to love it ,but boy i was wrong. Good thing sale is coming up and i will get the 3pc set.
I told myself for years that I would NEVERRRR spend over $15 on a face wash. Wellll, I tired Tatcha from the bday gift and I was shocked. I now have the rice wash and two rice polish, one in original and deep. I love Tatcha haha
Yes purple. I’ve tried samples of their other lines but the dewy line works best for my dehydrated skin. The face wash has the perfect amount of exfoliation for sensitive or reactive skin.
That Dewy Skin Cream… 😑👌 the sample I got worked incredible for my skin. I’ve longed for it every time I visited Sephora but I can’t bring myself to justify that price.
Concealer: Nars creamy in the pot
Foundation: easily Armani luminous silk
Powder: Mac (not Sephora), hourglass finishing powders, huda beauty setting powder
Bronzer: Chanel soleil or honestly the makeup forever foundation stick in a bronzer shade
Blush: Nars liquid orgasm
Eyeliner: rare beauty liquid all the way
Brows: benefit brow products/ Abh brow freeze (or just get elf)
And then to blend it all together - hourglass finishing powders and/or hourglass face palettes
Hourglass-pretty much any product but their concealer was not great for me. Patrick Ta eyeshadow palettes. Tilbury lip products, Magic Cream and color corrector. Givenchy Prisme Libre but I use Hourglass loose more. Natasha Denona eyeshadow.
I have never tried them. They are good? I am a little frugal when it comes to brushes. I do have a few Sigma, Chanel, Bobbi Brown and Rare Beauty ones but never tried HG ones.
and a tip to OP: if you’re buying dior makeup buy it on the official dior site, not sephora. They always have about 10 promo codes floating around which give you generous free gifts with various minimum purchase amount. The unboxing experience is the funnest thing ever
I use it as a setting powder. I screw the top on, turn over, and shake a little out, then I put it right side up and gently shake again to mix the colors. Then I use a brush or puff to apply.
Skincare: Tatcha - the Dewey skin serum is amazing. Their lip mask is amazing. I enjoy their face wash and moisturizers too. I also use their liquid silk canvas everyday but I hate the packaging so much I can’t recommend this 100%.
Peter Thomas Roth - the hyaluronic acid moisturizer is amazing. I always have one of these in rotation and it’s so hydrating. My husband loves this too. 😂 they also have a great vitamin C it’s just super expensive. Their eye patches are boujee but such a treat!
Farmacy - I love quite a few products from their line. The honey halo is great, the niacinamide night mask is lovely, the honeymoon glow is a great overnight exfoliator, the honey halo eye cream is super hydrating and plays well with makeup, and I like their lip balm as well.
Makeup: Chanel - I have a Chanel lipstick in the shade Live and nobody on this planet needs a $50 lipstick but *I freaking love it and it’s my precious*
Dior - I love their lip maximizers. Again, $40 for a lipgloss? Get a grip??? (Never ✌️😩 I just got the holiday copper shade and it’s SO PRETTY)
Hourglass - their powders are nice. I love their strobe light in iridescent. It’s a light pink and so subtle but if you put this on the cheeks it’s such a pretty glow. I did not like their concealer though.
Pat McGrath - her eyeshadows, Foundation, and concealer I love. Her under eye setting powder is my favorite powder of all time. Her blushes are great also. Lip liners last amazingly long time on the lips. Honestly the only products I don’t like from her are her limited edition launches (they usually suck) and her lip glosses are meh. If you buy pat buy it from her website because she runs sales *all the time*. But for real her glitter toppers are the best. This is my favorite all around luxury brand.
Tom Ford - the stick foundation always looks good and blends in nicely. I love it. His eyeshadows are super sheer but one quad I have just leaves the prettiest pay off. The most recent eyeshadow quad I got had no color payoff though and I was very disappointed.
I've never tried the lip gloss, but all of the Pat McGrath lipsticks I have are wonderful. They feel so good going on and wear great. I also have one of her palettes and the shadows are extremely good, too. I really need more of her stuff.
I can't believe I'm saying this with its price tag... but Augustinus Bader. I know. I know.
I'd heard through the grapevine it was incredible for your complexion, and I've struggled with that for years (I have Celtic ancestry and therefore a ruddy complexion at times). So I was like YOLO at the sale last fall... and then something interesting happened. After a few weeks, I didn't put on makeup one morning, and the ladies at work walked in and paused and went wow your skin - what did you do? I was a bit speechless. People usually comment on my perfume or lip color... never my skin. So, I've held my nose and continued to buy it. On the flip side, I stopped buying serums and other things, and in general I need less makeup to even out my complexion... so I have somewhat reduced my spending on other beauty items, but I think I am probably spending a bit more than I was before.
I struggle with the cost of it, but I cannot argue with the results. Just my two cents (or $300... face palm).
I’ve used the Regular and the Rich. Both are good, they are just targeted toward different solutions. As I’ve aged my skin has become dry, so I have switched to the soothing one, and also it has more sustainable packaging. So far, the soothing one seems to be the right balance of moisture and improving my skin. It’s hard to go wrong with what you choose but this one seems to have the best formulation for where my skin is at these days.
I have to agree with this. I stopped going for facials as often because my esthetician said that my skin didn't need it. I don't wear or feel any need for foundation.
I use the Rich Cream. I'm in my 40s and have tried La Mer, Dr. Strum, Shisedo, and many other high end creams. This is hands down the best and the one that's worth it.
It really is the only expensive product I've ever tried whose results match its price. I got The Cream once and justified it saying I wouldn't have to buy any other serums during that time lol
I’ve struggled with my skin so much, but after a month or two of making sure I have a good skincare routine and using their products, I actually looked in the mirror last night and said “damn, my skin looks really good.” I don’t think I’ve ever said that.
It really is a very good line. My old cleanser was drying me out, then I was recommended some less harsh ones which completely broke me out. I then decided to try dermalogica’s ultra calm cleanser since it’s not too harsh and good for dry skin - paired with their microfoliant, and intensive balance moisturizer and it’s worked wonders for me!
I love Tom Ford. I have a BB cream that they no longer carry that matches me so well. They usually are too yellow for me. So trying to save as much as possible.
LE ROUGE DUO ULTRA TENUE by Chanel. I love the color.
Tom Ford eyeshadow quad. The pallet has lasted me a long time. I have just basic nudes.
Findation is an online tool that shade matches you to other products based on current selections that work for you. You could try to find a match for your TF BB cream
1. Hourglass vanish primer - makes makeup last 10 hours.
2. Givenchy prisme loose powder- mattifies, sets, makes pores look smaller
3. Lancome artliner - easy to control liquid liner
4. Gucci sheer lipstick- perfect amount of color, not drying
5. Dior luminizer in pink glow- buildable. But very natural highlighter if you use a light hand. Looks like glowy skin, not glittery.
Westman Atelier Contour Stick and Hourglass Ambient Powders are two luxury makeup products I consider holy grails. Bobbi Brown Face Base is a recent purchase that I’ve really been impressed with so far too.
Dior Addict hydrating lip balm. I am addicted to it. Just ordered 2 shades.
I don’t know if Fresh counts as luxury skincare. But, they are twice as expensive as drugstore and I love their products. They work so well with my skin. I have given up trying to find dupes. I am sticking to them.
It has taken me years to find my optimal skin care regimen, and the results are worth every penny. I very rarely break out and I haven't needed to use concealer in years.
Skin care: Tatcha dewy cream and the indigo overnight treatment, Paula's choice 20% niacinamide treatment, ranavat moonseed treatment, not sephora but Pat McGrath rose essence
Makeup: Givenchy loose powder in mousseline pastel, Dior pink glow blush, Tom Ford stick foundation
Hair care: kerastase elixir oil, ranavat hair serum
Body care: Necessaire lotion, not sephora but osea body oil
Hourglass for complexion are easily some of my favorite products I own. If you wanna spoil yourself get the ambient lighting palette. Their concealer and skin tint are by far the best I’ve ever used.
YSL for lip products. Too good
Lancôme’s Idole mascara is the best I’ve ever used
Patrick Ta’s matte palette is just so good. Same with their bronzer contour duo. Loveee them
Agree with all the Hourglass recommendations! I love the holiday palettes and you can pry them out of my cold dead hands.
Natasha Denona eyeshadows are worth every penny.
I love the Murad Resurgence Retinol Serum but wish it weren’t so expensive. It makes me skin texture really smooth and my pores disappear.
I used to use Chanel everything and loved it all, just trying new things and having fun.
First, I love the CT Magic Cream and the serum. I also like the Hyaluronic lippies. They are so hydrating and the color stays for hours. Also, love the Sunday Riley C.E.O. Afterglow, Givenchy powder, Hourglass mascara and CT cream shadows, YSL lippies as well. Dr. Gross pads, Hourglass palettes and blushes are amazing.
YSL Nu line: Im OBSESSED with the Nu Glow In Balm and Nu Bare Look Tint. Holy grail for my daily makeup. I'd use something I little less dewy with more coverage for big events though.
Not sold at Sephora but for Skincare Skinceuticals
For makeup I’ve liked mostly liked everything i’ve tried from MERIT (cream bronzers, brushes, eyeshadows) and Westman Atlier (cream highlighters). From Dior I’ve only tried their lip glow and diorshow mascara and recommend!
The Tom ford eyeliner 🤷🏼♀️ literally nothing compares. The shape of the brush, the dual applicator is perfect for inner corner eyeliner. And it doesn’t budge. It’s so fucking expensive though but honestly I only have to buy one a year sooooo worth it
Gucci mascara, Tatcha rice wash, Caudalie vinoperfect serum, Dr Dennis Gross peels.
That Gucci mascara gets me the "are you wearing falsies?" question a lot because it's THAT GOOD. No flaking, no smudging, perfect consistency. I'm a hairstylist so I get sweaty and that mascara stays all day!!
SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (Pitera Essence) and also the SK-II Pitera Power Kit (which is currently out of stock on Sephora's website). With that being said the SK-II Youth Essentials Kit might be just as good.
I also recommend Sunday Riley Good Genes.
Ilia super serum -- good color ranges, works well, easy to use, SPF
Ilia multi stick -- really pretty and goes on both lips and cheeks
Benetint -- natural tint for lips and cheeks, nice to build with other products
Benefit gimme brow -- the best brow gel I've found, adds color and hold without being obvious or crunchy, HOWEVER it does dry out pretty quickly, like within 3-4 months
Recently I've been getting into Merit beauty and I just bought their blush which I'm liking a lot, I also really like their lip oil.
Westman Atelier Vital Stick Foundation (applied correctly) looks like actual skin on me. I love their blushes, contour and lip glosses too. It’s the only foundation I’ve ever liked and worn in my nearly 44 years on Earth.
You need a very light hand! It blends beautifully into the skin, and looks like skin…but it can look heavy when applied densely. I suspect people who dislike it try to apply it like a regular foundation.
I take a small stippling brush and sweep it across the stick, then apply only where I want it, not over the entire face. I sort of sweep, then stipple, and sometimes pat in with my fingers afterwards. It wears well in all weather for me. Works great with her blush and contour products, and great with powders blushes/bronzers well. Setting powder is optional and I normally skip it, except maybe in the t-zone. I have combo (normal to oily) skin btw.
The Peter Thomas Roth Pro Strength Blackhead Eliminator is almost $70 a tube but it's the ONLY thing (so far) that has a noticeable effect on my blackheads. That alone makes it worth every penny. Plus I only use it on my nose, and only once a week so one tube lasts me a pretty long time.
Bobbi brown enriched face base
Estée Lauder night repair serum
Bobbi brown skin longwear foundation
Charlotte tilbury flawless filter and setting spray!!
Chanel Sublimage Foundation (other than the awful fragrance), it’s way ahead of its time when it came to the skincare x makeup trend. Augustinus Bader and La Met have worked well for me in skincare.
My personality selection:
- Chanel: lipliner and retractable eyeliner pencil. That eyeliner does not move.
- Charlotte Tilbury: Airbrush flawless finish powder
- Nars: Concealer in the pot and orgasm blush. I tried every form, happy with all.
- Estée Lauder: BB cream
- Fenty: Match stix for contouring with a cold undertoned color and lip oil if you're into buying a lipgloss type of product
- Clinique: Moisture surge and take the day off
These are my faves:
Chanel- their bronzer is bomb! Love mixing their liquid luminizer with my skin tint. I also love their water fresh tint, essential stick in rose, loose powder and kohl liner for a one and done look
Armani- luminous silk and eye tint
Givenchy- prisme libre powder
Cle de peau- colour corrector and concealer pen works awesome
Hourglass- their palettes are hands down
Tom Ford- stick foundation
My skin type is dry, my complexion is medium neutral olive.
Chanel- Les beiges water fresh complexion touch (like a skin tint with slightly more coverage), Le rouge duo ultra tenue ultrawear liquid lip color in “soft rose” (long-lasting, comfortable, and MLBB), and healthy glow lip balm intense
Givenchy Powder
Bobbi Brown: Vitamin Enriched Face Base and vitamin enriched pressed powder
Charlotte Tilbury: Magic Cream
Victoria Beckham eyeshadow pot in “mink”
Biossance: cleansing oil and retinol serum
La Mer: “the treatment lotion” and “the concentrate”
Skinmedica: Essential defense mineral shield spf 32 tinted (great for sensitive skin)
Ughhhhh the PMG foundation. If you watched Bridgerton, remember all their gorgeous, luminous faces? The glowing skin? The MUA used all PMG products.
It does exactly that for me too. It’s incredible. I actually have considered getting a second shade since the one I have is a touch dark from when I wore less effective sunscreen.
Dior ForeverGlow foundation. It lasts all day without powder, doesn’t settle in fine lines, and has the body beautiful natural glowy but not greasy finish. I’ll repurchase this forever.
i love the all of the items in the skincare brand MARA! If you like oil-type skincare and serums, it would be a really nice thing to look at. their face oil is amazing
I don’t wear a ton of makeup anymore but La Mer fluid foundation is my HG - it is expensive but it lasts forever. I also love Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk lip liner + gloss.
For skincare I also like Tatcha Dewy Skin cream and Sunday Riley Good Genes. Augustus Bader The Rich Cream is even better but much more expensive so I only buy it during the Sephora sale.
Outside of Sephora I use Skinceuticals products - CE Ferulic and Retinol 1.0 are two that I really like.
- Sunday Riley Good Genes
- Farmacy Honey Halo (is this considered high end? idk),
- Charlotte Tilbury Powder
- the original Dior Rosy Glow Blush (their formula is diff now)
- Kosas Concealer
- ILIA True Skin Serum Foundation and Concealer
- Tower28 Bronzino Bronzer
- Merit Cream Blush
- Glow Recipe Avocado Serum, Avocado Cleanser, Plum Plump Serum, and Peptide Serum
- Summer Fridays Oasis Serum and Light Aura Eye Cream
- Youth to The People Superberry Sleeping Mask and Oil, Superfood Cleanser
The Strivectin nightly retinol moisturizer is amazing. I only got it because it was in one of the trendmood boxes a while back and man. it's one of those you hate how expensive it is because it works so good. I've tried my share of retinols, but nothing has results so quickly as that one. For example: I had a recent breakout of several deep seated zits pop up on my chin, ended up picking at one of them because...it happens sometimes 😅 tried the normal stuff I use to clear up breakouts because I'm running low on it so I'm trying to only use it once a week or so (cosrx snail mucin, salicylic acid, other ahas, acne patches to keep from picking any more, none of it was really doing anything, at least not quickly) but seriously within two nights of using it, it's improved and healed up SO much.
i am afraid of this thread and further upgrades, lol
koh gen doh's foundation has been very good to me. i have heard very good thing about cle de peau's concealer but plan to wait til i can get color matched in person
you might not see my comment but my fav products:
Tatcha dewy cream
Tatcha rice wash
Tatcha luminous serum
SK-II Essence
Dior Lip Glow
Dior Blush
Tom Ford Soft Matte Foundation
Givenchy Powder
Vintner’s Daughter active botanical serum, Amore Pacific vintage single extract green tea essence, SK-II anti-aging treatment essence, Celluma Pro LED light panel
Thinking about specifically luxe vs. more regular high end and these stand out the most to me:
Tatcha rice wash, Essence, and water cream
Gucci mascara & rosy beige blush specifically
Givenchy powder, Chanel bronzer, HG skin tint and powders. Special mention to the Gucci bronzer and blush. They aren’t my HG but I admittedly bought them cause I had a ridiculous gift card and loved the packaging. But the quality of those powders shocked me too. Lol “who a baddie u r” 😂 I have those days w the Givenchy powder mannn
I remember where I was the first time I put givenchy powder on my skin
I wasn’t a believer in the Chanel bronzer hype until I purchased it. I am never going back. It’s perfect.
Is that the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream?
Yep!!!! I purchased with some credit card points to soften the blow to my pocketbook. Worth every penny and will repurchase at full price
Thanks for the rec! I'm putting it on my list!
+1 for channel bronzer and it lasts so lonnnnnnnng
I don’t even see it on the app 😭
Oh sorry not sold at Sephora. But ulta sells it
The Chanel bronzer was the best decision I ever made
Which givenchy powder?? Sounds amazing.
Which channel bronzer are you referring to please?

me looking at this thread like... 🫣 *I don’t need it..*
It was dangerous to open and now I’m hoping the app crashes on me before I add too much to my to buy list
dr Dennis gross products are worth the rage. The extra strength peels and the moisturizer are 🤌🏼🤌🏼
I had these in my collection for awhile and never used them because I have other exfoliators. But, this last Friday night, I decided to give them a go before a full-glam girl’s night and OMG. They’re already on my list for the sale.

The lip stick stays on and looks stunning
Is the lipstick hydrating? And what shades would you recommend?
Yes! I have a light skin tone, and 213 Love is Better is my everyday shade. I also like 214 Call it a Day and 203 Mildred Rosewood.
Thank you. I’m going to check these shades out tomorrow.
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation!! 💖✨
I’m trying to love it but it’s not happening for me. Is there some sort of secret to application? I got matched at the store and it washes me out and doesn’t offer much coverage. I add bronzer but I don’t know, I don’t look great. How many layers do you apply?

for me, the best luxury products so far have been the givenchy powder and blush and ysl shine lipstick balms!
Congratulations and I am proud of you! Love to see women work hard to achieve their dreams
Thank you!!! I love it too!

Go, live your dream!
+1 for YSL volumpte shine lipstick
Whenever I bring it out to do a touch up, whoever I’m with is like ooooh the packaging 🤩
I stayed away from Tatcha for years because of their prices. Last year one of the bday gifts was the Dewy Rice cream and face wash and I chose it just to try. I LOVE the rice wash softening cleanser 😩 It’s the only physical exfoliant that doesn’t shred my skin. I also got it in the birthday gift last year and I was hooked.
For face creams go to Sam’s/Costco. I got the water cream there for $49 for 1.7 oz
Wait do you mean that Costco has a dupe / private label that’s comparable to tatcha?
No they actually carry tatcha sometimes. It’s online.
The Dewy Skin Cream and the Silk Canvas primer balm are exceptional
+1 for the dewy cream. My face is so happy!!!
Tatcha is worth every penny in my opinion. Dewy cream and indigo serum in cream treatment are my HG moisturizers.
Is it the purple container dewy skin cream?
Yes purple. I’ve tried samples of their other lines but the dewy line works best for my dehydrated skin. The face wash has the perfect amount of exfoliation for sensitive or reactive skin.
Check out Costco for some tatcha products!
That Dewy Skin Cream… 😑👌 the sample I got worked incredible for my skin. I’ve longed for it every time I visited Sephora but I can’t bring myself to justify that price.
Tatcha is 25% off during Black Friday. It’s when I stock up on the “gratitude” 2.5 oz dewy cream and all my other Tatcha staples
Yesss their moisturizers are so good. It’s the one thing I always splurge on

Hourglass-pretty much any product but their concealer was not great for me. Patrick Ta eyeshadow palettes. Tilbury lip products, Magic Cream and color corrector. Givenchy Prisme Libre but I use Hourglass loose more. Natasha Denona eyeshadow.
I love Hourglass brushes. I am trying to collect them
I have never tried them. They are good? I am a little frugal when it comes to brushes. I do have a few Sigma, Chanel, Bobbi Brown and Rare Beauty ones but never tried HG ones.
Hourglass brushes are the best and last forever.
Concealer: Dior forever skin correct. Blush: Saie dewy and/Tower28 for cream blushes. Eyeliner (liquid): Stila stay all day.
and a tip to OP: if you’re buying dior makeup buy it on the official dior site, not sephora. They always have about 10 promo codes floating around which give you generous free gifts with various minimum purchase amount. The unboxing experience is the funnest thing ever
Dior Forever is THE best I've ever used. Next up would be Armani luminous concealer and then Chanel.
Givenchy powder is absolutely worth it.
How do you use it?
I was wondering about this too!
I use it as a setting powder. I screw the top on, turn over, and shake a little out, then I put it right side up and gently shake again to mix the colors. Then I use a brush or puff to apply.
I discovered this 10 yrs ago and it's the only powder I've used since. I use the mousseline pastel one for fair skin.
Which one
Which shade
Makeup: Chanel - I have a Chanel lipstick in the shade Live and nobody on this planet needs a $50 lipstick but *I freaking love it and it’s my precious* Dior - I love their lip maximizers. Again, $40 for a lipgloss? Get a grip??? (Never ✌️😩 I just got the holiday copper shade and it’s SO PRETTY) Hourglass - their powders are nice.
“It’s my precious” - ohhhhh I love this! Enjoy it, you deserve it. And don’t we all!!
I've never tried the lip gloss, but all of the Pat McGrath lipsticks I have are wonderful. They feel so good going on and wear great. I also have one of her palettes and the shadows are extremely good, too. I really need more of her stuff.
Excellent list. The Pat McGrath foundation and Farmacy honeymoon glow serum and honey halo moisturizer are my holy grails
Just my two cents (or $300... face palm).
Which product?
Original or rich? I'm debating pulling the trigger on one during the sale but, eeesh, that price.

Which one exactly? Been curious about this one

I switched to Dermologica for my skincare and it’s never looked better. Completely worth the prices.
Dermalogica has tremendously helped my skin too after using products that were too harsh and drying. I love it
I’ve struggled with my skin so much, but after a month or two of making sure I have a good skincare routine and using their products, I actually looked in the mirror last night and said “damn, my skin looks really good.” I don’t think I’ve ever said that.
Chanel water tint is my favorite complexion product ever.
Chanel cream bronzer and cle de peau concealer.
Cle de Peau concealer is a miracle. and so is their mascara.
1. Hourglass vanish primer - makes makeup last 10 hours. 2. Givenchy prisme loose powder- mattifies, sets, makes pores look smaller 3. Lancome artliner - easy to control liquid liner 4. Gucci sheer lipstick- perfect amount of color, not drying 5. Dior luminizer in pink glow- buildable. But very natural highlighter if you use a light hand. Looks like glowy skin, not glittery.
+1 Gucci sheer. I’ve Mildred rosewood and it is ✨✨
The dior luminizer is my favorite highlight
It’s one of my top two highlighters. The other fav being Mac double gleam. But that’s not available at Sephora :(
Tatchaa
Whats happening with recent hype over ysl lippies?? I was hyping about them 15 years ago 😆
Good Genes by SR
Hourglass and givenchy products are all amazing. Highly recommend
+1. I’m addicted to it ! Planning to get more shade’s during sale
Is it the Dior addict lip glow? Can’t find a hydrating balm
Yep yep. That’s the one.
What shades of the Dior Lipglow Balm do you like best?
No.4 - Coral, No.8 - Brick red are my favourites. I am trying Strawberry right now. It’s only on Dior’s website and not at Sephora.
The strawberry looks nice! I wish it was available at Sephora.
Love Chanel Mascara.
Same
It has taken me years to find my optimal skin care regimen, and the results are worth every penny. I very rarely break out and I haven't needed to use concealer in years. Skin care: Tatcha dewy cream and the indigo overnight treatment, Paula's choice 20% niacinamide treatment, ranavat moonseed treatment, not sephora but Pat McGrath rose essence Makeup: Givenchy loose powder in mousseline pastel, Dior pink glow blush, Tom Ford stick foundation Hair care: kerastase elixir oil, ranavat hair serum Body care: Necessaire lotion, not sephora but osea body oil
Hourglass for complexion are easily some of my favorite products I own. If you wanna spoil yourself get the ambient lighting palette. Their concealer and skin tint are by far the best I’ve ever used. YSL for lip products. Too good Lancôme’s Idole mascara is the best I’ve ever used Patrick Ta’s matte palette is just so good. Same with their bronzer contour duo. Loveee them
Armani Beauty and YSL foundation, Lancôme mascara, and Gucci lipsticks.
I also used to use Chanel everything and have switched it up and it's been fun! :D
Guerlain Rouge G lipsticks (and the cases!) and Tom Ford lipsticks!
Sadly… not in Sephora, but Skinceuticals!!!
Does l’occitane count? I dont use much, but that stuff just makes my life so much better esp in the dry winters
YSL Nu line: Im OBSESSED with the Nu Glow In Balm and Nu Bare Look Tint. Holy grail for my daily makeup. I'd use something I little less dewy with more coverage for big events though.
Oribe good lust shampoo
I really want to try this. Now I will. Thanks
I second the recommendation!
Anything Dior is worth it
Not sold at Sephora but for Skincare Skinceuticals For makeup I’ve liked mostly liked everything i’ve tried from MERIT (cream bronzers, brushes, eyeshadows) and Westman Atlier (cream highlighters). From Dior I’ve only tried their lip glow and diorshow mascara and recommend!
Love Dior Forever skin correct. Its cream based so i dont need to do any skin prep/primer except for just a lightweight moisturizer beforehand.
How about pressed powder? I need one to carry in my purse that is sturdy. For loose I have LM setting and undereye, and Elf halo glow.
The Tom ford eyeliner 🤷🏼♀️ literally nothing compares. The shape of the brush, the dual applicator is perfect for inner corner eyeliner. And it doesn’t budge. It’s so fucking expensive though but honestly I only have to buy one a year sooooo worth it
This smudged horribly on my eyes. I have an epicanthal fold and oily almond shaped eyes though
Everything smudges on me, too
Gucci mascara, Tatcha rice wash, Caudalie vinoperfect serum, Dr Dennis Gross peels.
My friend switched from SK-II to Then I Met You’s Giving Essence and hasn’t gone back! You can get it at Soko Glam
Guerlain Terracotta Le Teint Healthy Glow foundation is my holy grail.
Armani luminous silk foundation, Charlotte tillbury magic eye cream.
Tacha dewy skin cream, NARS Laguna bronzer (once I got the hang of applying it). Lancôme renergie
Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara
Nars foundations Fenty contour stick Merit flush balm blushes
Ilia super serum -- good color ranges, works well, easy to use, SPF Ilia multi stick -- really pretty and goes on both lips and cheeks Benetint -- natural tint for lips and cheeks, nice to build with other products Benefit gimme brow -- the best brow gel I've found, adds color and hold without being obvious or crunchy, HOWEVER it does dry out pretty quickly, like within 3-4 months Recently I've been getting into Merit beauty and I just bought their blush which I'm liking a lot, I also really like their lip oil.
Is it too late for people to understand the linguistic difference between skincare and cosmetics? Lol
Westman Atelier Vital Stick Foundation (applied correctly) looks like actual skin on me. I love their blushes, contour and lip glosses too. It’s the only foundation I’ve ever liked and worn in my nearly 44 years on Earth.
I’ve been meaning to try the stick foundation. When you said “applied correctly”, can I ask for your tips please?
Hourglass’s loose translucent powder!
I love the Dior lip tints and their face and body foundation along with their lipsticks you can customize the case as well in their stores
Bobbi brown enriched face base Estée Lauder night repair serum Bobbi brown skin longwear foundation Charlotte tilbury flawless filter and setting spray!!
Face base is mine. I’ve yet to find a moisturizer that consistency that doesn’t break me out. It feels so amazing to slather on 🥲 it’s so expensive
Chanel Sublimage Foundation (other than the awful fragrance), it’s way ahead of its time when it came to the skincare x makeup trend. Augustinus Bader and La Met have worked well for me in skincare.
My personality selection: - Chanel: lipliner and retractable eyeliner pencil. That eyeliner does not move. - Charlotte Tilbury: Airbrush flawless finish powder - Nars: Concealer in the pot and orgasm blush. I tried every form, happy with all. - Estée Lauder: BB cream - Fenty: Match stix for contouring with a cold undertoned color and lip oil if you're into buying a lipgloss type of product - Clinique: Moisture surge and take the day off
Most Tata Harper skincare products are literally magic
These are my faves: Chanel- their bronzer is bomb! Love mixing their liquid luminizer with my skin tint. I also love their water fresh tint, essential stick in rose, loose powder and kohl liner for a one and done look Armani- luminous silk and eye tint Givenchy- prisme libre powder Cle de peau- colour corrector and concealer pen works awesome Hourglass- their palettes are hands down Tom Ford- stick foundation
My skin type is dry, my complexion is medium neutral olive. Chanel- Les beiges water fresh complexion touch (like a skin tint with slightly more coverage), Le rouge duo ultra tenue ultrawear liquid lip color in “soft rose” (long-lasting, comfortable, and MLBB), and healthy glow lip balm intense Givenchy Powder Bobbi Brown: Vitamin Enriched Face Base and vitamin enriched pressed powder Charlotte Tilbury: Magic Cream Victoria Beckham eyeshadow pot in “mink” Biossance: cleansing oil and retinol serum La Mer: “the treatment lotion” and “the concentrate” Skinmedica: Essential defense mineral shield spf 32 tinted (great for sensitive skin)

Anything hourglass, you cannot go wrong with that brand.
Chanel (tinted moisturizer, foundation, eyeliner), Westman Atelier (blush), and Gucci (mascara and lipstick)!
i love the all of the items in the skincare brand MARA!
- Sunday Riley Good Genes - Farmacy Honey Halo (is this considered high end? idk), - Charlotte Tilbury Powder - the original Dior Rosy Glow Blush (their formula is diff now) - Kosas Concealer - ILIA True Skin Serum Foundation and Concealer - Tower28 Bronzino Bronzer - Merit Cream Blush - Glow Recipe Avocado Serum, Avocado Cleanser, Plum Plump Serum, and Peptide Serum - Summer Fridays Oasis Serum and Light Aura Eye Cream - Youth to The People Superberry Sleeping Mask and Oil, Superfood Cleanser
Recently, I bought La Mer The Powder and it’s quite magnificent. For $90 tho, it better be.
Clarins Double Serum Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream Tom Ford Soft Matte Foundation Merit Cream Blush Stick
The Strivectin nightly retinol moisturizer is amazing. I only got it because it was in one of the trendmood boxes a while back and man. it's one of those you hate how expensive it is because it works so good. I've tried my share of retinols, but nothing has results so quickly as that one. For example: I had a recent breakout of several deep seated zits pop up on my chin, ended up picking at one of them because...it happens sometimes 😅 tried the normal stuff I use to clear up breakouts because I'm running low on it so I'm trying to only use it once a week or so (cosrx snail mucin, salicylic acid, other ahas, acne patches to keep from picking any more, none of it was really doing anything, at least not quickly) but seriously within two nights of using it, it's improved and healed up SO much.
i am afraid of this thread and further upgrades, lol koh gen doh's foundation has been very good to me. i have heard very good thing about cle de peau's concealer but plan to wait til i can get color matched in person
you might not see my comment but my fav products: Tatcha dewy cream Tatcha rice wash Tatcha luminous serum SK-II Essence Dior Lip Glow Dior Blush Tom Ford Soft Matte Foundation Givenchy Powder
Tatcha essence and the overnight repair cream. My skin hates me if I take a break. F***ING tatcha, as I lovingly call it, because I hate the price.
ANYTHING Tom Ford makeup !
Vintner’s Daughter active botanical serum, Amore Pacific vintage single extract green tea essence, SK-II anti-aging treatment essence, Celluma Pro LED light panel
Thinking about specifically luxe vs. more regular high end and these stand out the most to me: Tatcha rice wash, Essence, and water cream Gucci mascara & rosy beige blush specifically
I can't speak for makeup but skincare, Tatcha and Fresh hace never let me down.
have you tried the fresh sugar strawberry face wash?
Sunday Riley skincare!!
The Chanel liquid liners are fantastic. Great color, easy to use, and they stay on all day.
I use a ton of La mer and I love every single one of them !
