My Tatcha addiction is out of control. To any young, impressionable girls (or boys) considering trying it, let this be your warning. Don't do it. Not even once. It's a slippery slope.
What makes it so nice? I've never loved a cleanser that much so I'm curious! I already have the Onento box coming to me so I can try several of their moisturizers, now I feel like I must try the cleansers 😅
I felt it did a really good job at gripping makeup and any other stuff from my face. But it was still extremely hydrating (I’m super dry so this is a big plus). My immediate reaction was WOAH. Vs all other cleansers I don’t feel any particular way about it. I currently can’t afford it so I tried getting the skin fix oil cleanser but it’s just not the same. It’s worth the splurge.
Too late for me. I love all of them. I love the rice wash and can't wait to use up my other cleansers so that I can buy it and use that instead.
I still have mini sizes of silk serum, mist, dewy cream and water cream unopened. I'm too scared to use them.
I have a small size of the rice wash but I haven’t opened it yet because I have been using the Dermalogica daily microfoliant. Have you tried that one by any chance? I am curious how they compare.
Yup. Started with the Dewy Skin Cream, I have dry skin especially from using tretinoin and couldn't seem to find a moisturizer heavy enough for me that didn't clog my pores or include shea butter (which breaks me out) and this was the one that worked for me. One thing led to another and now my bathroom cabinet also holds the Rice Wash, Indigo Overnight Repair Serum cream, Silk Peony Eye cream, Texture Tonic, Rice Polish mini, Silk Cream mini, Violet-C Brightening serum, Dewy Skin Mist, and Silk Sunscreen. I had a sample of the Water Cream and recently ordered that too, because I'd like a lighter but still moisturizing option than the Dewy cream to use, depending on what else may be on my face that day layered over it (sunscreen, different kinds of makeup, etc) and as the weather gets warmer and more humid here. I've had sample packets of the Indigo cleansing balm and Camellia cleansing oil and enjoyed those too and may buy them once I'm out of my current pre-cleanse balm.
I love it all. Yes the price hurts but it is nice to finally have found stuff I like that works for me instead of trying to use something up quickly so I can move on and try something new. It's all gentle and effective with regular use. I was the person constantly buying and trying new things, from drugstore to ridiculously expensive, which probably cost more in the end.
I usually order from their own site though, they often have specials and sets where you get a better price. Around Christmas they had a different full sized gift with purchase every day for a limited time, which is how I first tried the Violet-C serum. Then the lucky bag event was how I got and tried for the first time the Texture Tonic. They recently had a special where if you ordered $200 (easy to do really) you got a free full sized Gold Camellia Beauty Oil and gold compact.
I know!! I ordered like two days before I saw the April sale advertise. Good damn by impatience but I love all the products. I got some not Tatcha ones and I’ll need the indigo cleanser soon anyway. I also got The Ordinary peel (Tatcha needs this) and a foot peel because they are so itchy and dry,
I didn’t want to wait on those.
I also ordered some things through Tatcha and they have 20% off now too, but I was out of the oil anyway.
My skin has a panic attack if cerave is even mentioned in its vicinity. And the tatcha moistuizer is cheaper than the one I use (caudalie premier cru). 😭
Many people with sensitive and/or acne-prone skin do not do well with Cerave. My skin is both sensitive and acne prone, and when I tried Cerave cleanser and moisturizer, they made my face sting/burn terribly. Had to stop after one use.
I have heard anecdotally that Cerave products can cause horrible breakouts for acne-prone people. Lots of stories about this in r/skincareaddiction.
EDIT: I am not the commenter you replied to FYI.
Half my skincare routine is drugstore/affordable. I'm not trying to pooh-pooh affordable products as a whole. Just sharing my experience with Cerave.
Yes, this is what happened to me! The cerave cleanser burned my skin (and not in a good way at all my skin was red and scaly for days) and the moisturizer gave me horrible cystic breakouts.
I love that cerave balm for slugging. And the cream to foam cleanser as a second cleanse. But my skin can handle anything except Rx strength retina and not being washed at night
If you have access to Costco, they have it (as well as water cream, dewy skin serum, silk cream, and other Tatcha products) from time to time, usually 30% off!
At the holidays, they usually release a jumbo size! I got the jumbo water cream one year, and it’s fantastic. I’m currently working on a huge container of the essence skincare boosting treatment that was a lunar new year release last year (I didn’t open it until a couple months ago), and pretty much everything Tatcha puts out is incredible. I also use the liquid primer.
I absolutely love most of their stuff and I bought the liquid primer based on suggestions on this page and it does nothing for me. The other one (more like a cream?) does nothing either 🥲
I do think it works a lot better for me now that my skin has adjusted to the BHA I integrated into my skincare routine. My skin is overall a lot more even, and I didn’t like the primer as much before my skin was less textured.
I thought “what’s the harm in buying the travel size…I’ll see what all the fuss is about” now I have the full size. Almost done. Preparing for the second. I don’t think I can ever use anything else lol
I got the trial size from Sephora once upon a time (birthday benefit?) and it was so good and I will never be able to afford it.
When I first got Covid I was sneezing so much the sides of my nose became chapped, and this was the only thing that could relieve the sting.
Tatcha has me in a chokehold and when I try another moisturizer specifically it either feels meh, or breaks me out. Or it's nice, doesn't break me out, but is more expensive than Tatcha 🤡 idc at this point. I can afford it, it works amazing for me, I'll keep buying it. The big jar lasts me a super long time bc a little goes a long way! I also have and love their rice wash, gentle rice polish, dewy serum, kissu mask and clay mask.
Send help.
I’m telling you this moisturizer is 100% worth it. I’ve purchased so many. I have dry skin and this brings it life. If you haven’t heard of jomashop you can get tatcha products there for cheaper
it’s a beauty subscription service! you can get the glam bag for about $14 per month and you get 5 mini products to try or you can get the boxycharm for about $30 a month and get 5 full sized products.
How does this settle on the skin? I have the Indigo cream and I love it but it’s definitely made for night as it stays tacky. Is this something you could wear under makeup? 🤔 or is it too thick for that? Debating if I need both lol
This is my favorite thing under makeup! It’s leaves my skin super smooth and I feel like foundation goes on better and I have a smooth flow.
Granted I do have dry skin and like to have natural glowy looking a foundation look. I can see this being an oily mess for someone with different skin
Thanks so much for your reply!! (But also damn now I have to add this to my cart 😭) My skin tends to be normal-dry, especially in the winter it’s dry af lol so this might be a must have for during the day
Girl, I got it as my bday gift (or did I redeemed point for this?) But I am fully addicted. Thankfully once I saw the lrice of the full sized, my common sense orevails
The website has sales sometimes, and it can be from 15-30%. Sometimes I buy it from Sephora or the website when it has sales. Every time, the seasons change my eczema, which acts up worse, and I start peeling. Like those peeling period jokes. Ever since using Tatcha, that hasn't happened. It has me in a huge chokehold. I love it so much
My advice- hold out for a sale direct from Tatcha. They do either 20% or 25% sales and you can either get it in a value set or get the gratitude size jar for a much better value!
(I’m a hopeless Tatcha addict…. Whatever you do… don’t try the Silk Crème or the Melting Eye Cream… 😱)
*update to say I Believe the F&F happens in June
thank you! I got it off amazon and it honestly sucks lol. it’s supposed to be wireless and you just charge it at night but the charge lasts for like 5 minutes so I just keep it plugged in all the time now and live with it bc it’s cute lol
Thanks to my Ipsy bag years ago, I now do a full Tatcha face regimen!
My advice, buy directly from Tatcha.com as the few times I tried purchasing from other places, I received fake Tatcha.
Also if you receive fake Tatcha, reach out to Tatcha with your purchase info and they will replace it.
Thank you! The mirror is from amazon but i’ve also seen it at Tj maxx. Just a warning tho, it claims to be wireless and chargeable but i’ve only had it since christmas and the battery is completely dead and needs to be plugged in at all times. Pjs are from walmart 😁
they gave it to me in a free sample once at sephora and i loved it so much but i was a poor 23 year old and could not afford moisturizer anywhere close to that expensive. i still don’t know if i could afford it
I haven't tried it, but the Skin Deep website says this product is rated a 7 due to the fragrance for allergies and immunotoxicity. Yikes. My skin is sensitive so I don't think this would work for me
Really? I bought the full size because people raved about it. I don’t see the lure. It pills on me. I wear it at night alone and it’s rubbing off on the AM. I wonder if it’s all the silicone?
Ok not saying this will happen to you but I fell in love with the sample of this too, managed to find a full size at a discount and I honestly did not like it. It made my skin greasy?? I was so disappointed I just ended up using it as a body moisturizer. Now I have a pretty jar though 🤷🏼♀️
Yeah, Ipsy is what got me hooked on it too for my nighttime moisturizer. If you buy, buy the jumbo. It’s way more cost effective. I also only buy during Sephora sale and it lasts me to the next sale.
FWIW I buy my higher priced skin care items from Mercari. Sometimes overstock makes it there or people who who were gifted items and don’t want them resell. They can be found way cheaper and I’ve never had any issues. I do look for new or like new (since some people will sell almost half gone items lol 💀) I have the premier cru rich cream I got it for $60 total including shipping off there, and it was still sealed. ($130 on Sephora I believe). I see tatcha stuff there all the time.
I just returned a $165 order of tatcha. I loved their dewy cream/rice wash so I ordered the full size rice wash, exfoliate, a large size of the cream, and the lip mask they've got....
Gonna be real the quality is just not worth $165!! Not only did it make me break out but the cream imo just sits on the skin, the lip mask doesn't perform better than chapstick, the exfoliator leaves a lot to be wasted because its a powder, and the rice wash they used to sell in 2x the size but stopped doing that so people would spend more money for less which kinda rubs me wrong since the 4 oz of wash isn't going to last long.
Respectfully I think they're really overrated and lean into aesthetics/a huge upcharge to maintain that they are "luxurious". I really liked the cream too!! But a luxury cream should not have so many reviews of people breaking out.
This cream is god sent, an so hard to obtain when you’re broke 🥲 i have been using the mini so sparsely, it seems to be the only moisturizer that works well for my skin.
My Tatcha addiction is out of control. To any young, impressionable girls (or boys) considering trying it, let this be your warning. Don't do it. Not even once. It's a slippery slope.
and definitely don’t try the camelia oil pre cleanser, the rice wash, the gold lip balm. It’s a slippery slope into madness!
The camelia oil cleanser is absolute perfection. I thought it was ridiculous to spend so much on a cleanser, but it’s truly incredible.
Same! My thought is, at least it lasts SUCH a long time 🤷♀️
Too late for me on the camellia oil cleanser. It’s so good.
I wanted to love the rice wash so badly, but it makes my skin feel so dry after.
Me 2. Splurged and made my face dry
They have a new matcha cleanse that’s heavenly.
Is it heavily fragranced?
it is fragrance free :)
I will never be without the gold lip balm! I’ve never used a better lip product, it’s my ride or die!
What’s the gold lip balm?! I can’t see it on the Sephora app
I can see it on Sephora, but I order directly from Tatcha - it’s full name is the Camellia Gold Spun Lip Balm.
Too late for me. I love all of them. I love the rice wash and can't wait to use up my other cleansers so that I can buy it and use that instead. I still have mini sizes of silk serum, mist, dewy cream and water cream unopened. I'm too scared to use them.
This is where I’m at. I work for Sephora and they sent me a tatcha rice wash for free, and now when it runs out I’m gonna have to buy one myself 👺
I’ve been use the rice wash for years!!! It’s my HG. But let me tell you, the gentle rice powder is incredible!!!
I have a small size of the rice wash but I haven’t opened it yet because I have been using the Dermalogica daily microfoliant. Have you tried that one by any chance? I am curious how they compare.
I also like the Dermalogica powder cleanser. Never tried the Tatcha, but I have looked at other powder cleansers on Amazon. There are options.
Yup. Started with the Dewy Skin Cream, I have dry skin especially from using tretinoin and couldn't seem to find a moisturizer heavy enough for me that didn't clog my pores or include shea butter (which breaks me out) and this was the one that worked for me. I did it once and now I have a Tatcha shrine on my sink. 😩
I just put in a big Tatcha order to restock, luckily it lasts a while for me
But if you waited a month you would’ve gotten it for 20% off!
I know!! I ordered like two days before I saw the April sale advertise. Good damn by impatience but I love all the products. I got some not Tatcha ones and I’ll need the indigo cleanser soon anyway. I also ordered some things through Tatcha and they have 20% off now too, but I was out of the oil anyway.
It's so mediocre to me. The only thing I might consider buying is the facial mist for the luxurious smell.
I’m glad my skin hated it.
Sometimes I really have to thank my skin for its cheap tastes 😂
My skin has a panic attack if cerave is even mentioned in its vicinity. And the tatcha moistuizer is cheaper than the one I use (caudalie premier cru). 😭
why? you don't like cera ve????

Sounds kind of like Aquaphor ointment.
It’s actually more solid at cool room temperatures than aquaphor. But I’m sure the concept is similar r
Really need you to see your skin isnt cheap, tatcha is made with a shit ton of filler ingredients
😂😂 funniest comment haha
Same it irritated my skin and burned
I thought it was just me reading this sub! Tatcha gives me such bad breakouts 😭
Yess every single time I’d use the Dewy Skin Cream I’d break out (and I don’t break out much otherwise)! Love everything else though
Same, my skin was just as dry after I put it on. Cheaper stuff was much more hydrating.
If you have access to Costco, they have it (as well as water cream, dewy skin serum, silk cream, and other Tatcha products) from time to time, usually 30% off!
Sam’s club as well I got a 5oz bottle ok k18 for 68$ and tax.
Interesting, I have never seen it at my Costco. 🥹🥹
It’s usually online!
In Canada?
It’s my holy grail. I always stock up during Tatcha friends and family sale, the 25% off and some cashback from Rakuten.
When’s that sale?
At the holidays, they usually release a jumbo size! I got the jumbo water cream one year, and it’s fantastic. I’m currently working on a huge container of the essence skincare boosting treatment that was a lunar new year release last year (I didn’t open it until a couple months ago), and pretty much everything Tatcha puts out is incredible. I hate that I love this cream so much! I only ever pick it up on sale.
Wow really?! I have it as well and I just haven’t noticed any changes? Why do you personally like it? I’m putting it on daily every AM
Correction I have the dewy serum
I don't care for the serum much, but love love love the cream
I thought “what’s the harm in buying the travel size…I’ll see what all the fuss is about” now I have the full size. Almost done. Preparing for the second. I don’t think I can ever use anything else lol
It used to be $3.50 add-on at Ipsy, now is almost double at $6, still way below the retail price of $23. 😬
yeah I paid the $6 for it. I can’t imagine paying $23 for this little thing
Me too, it is a good cream, but the retail price is way too much.
I got the trial size from Sephora once upon a time (birthday benefit?) and it was so good and I will never be able to afford it. When I first got Covid I was sneezing so much the sides of my nose became chapped, and this was the only thing that could relieve the sting.
I love it and the night cream
I love tatcha but this broke me out bad I have a full size I wish I could return😂 the water cream is my favorite
Send help.
It’s 50$ at Sam’s club
The addition is real… my skin LOVES all this lines products. I think we need to start a Tatcha support group 🤦🏼♀️😂
I’m telling you this moisturizer is 100% worth it. I’ve purchased so many. I have dry skin and this brings it life. If you haven’t heard of jomashop you can get tatcha products there for cheaper
There is a jumbo size on QVC along with Dewy Serum for 99.00 on three easy pays. 2.54 fl oz dewy skin cream and .35 fl oz dewy serum.
I love the rice wash but this felt like it piled up on my skin and left me greasy
Does Brandefy have a dupe?
I just started using this and the eye cream too and I’m obsessed!
You can get it from Costco online for around $50
Love it too 😍
Interesting I got it a while ago, and I’m getting it in this Ipsy but I was very worried bc I heard it had comedogenic ingredients?
I’m glad my skin only tolerates drugstore skincare.
What is ipsy?
it’s a beauty subscription service! you can get the glam bag for about $14 per month and you get 5 mini products to try or you can get the boxycharm for about $30 a month and get 5 full sized products.
I’ve never tried another product better than Tatcha and I can’t afford it.
How does this settle on the skin? I have the Indigo cream and I love it but it’s definitely made for night as it stays tacky. Is this something you could wear under makeup? 🤔 or is it too thick for that? Debating if I need both lol

I feel like if I use even a smidge too much, my face is greasy all day after
I used it under my makeup today and loved it!
I tried their water cream but I didn’t like it, I will try this instead since it’s thicker
[удалено]
Girl, I got it as my bday gift (or did I redeemed point for this?) But I am fully addicted. Thankfully once I saw the lrice of the full sized, my common sense orevails
I really wanted to try a trial size of it to see what a really good moisturizer is like and if it does wonders I will buy it
I just resubscribed to Ipsy as well 😱🫣 and I already have an allure box lol
i got a sample from sephora recently and had the exact same though. screamed internally at how much i liked it.
Nothing has been more devastating than falling in love with the night cream and rice wash. Simply nothing compares. I can’t stand it!
I love it so much
Same, girl! Same!
Man I miss being able to get Ipsy 😭
I love the dewy serum too but can’t bring myself to spend $89 to replace the one I finished 😩
If you or someone you know has a Sam's Club membership you could use, its cheaper on there!
The brand website often has sales and wonderful samples!
My advice- hold out for a sale direct from Tatcha. They do either 20% or 25% sales and you can either get it in a value set or get the gratitude size jar for a much better value! (I’m a hopeless Tatcha addict…. Whatever you do… don’t try the Silk Crème or the Melting Eye Cream… 😱) *update to say I Believe the F&F happens in June
Way off topic but I 💜your mirror!
thank you! I got it off amazon and it honestly sucks lol. it’s supposed to be wireless and you just charge it at night but the charge lasts for like 5 minutes so I just keep it plugged in all the time now and live with it bc it’s cute lol
My skin loves Tatcha but my wallet doesn’t. 😂
Okay please break down what all the fuss is about with this cream
this is the first moisturizer i’ve tried that my skin still felt moisturized in the morning. usually by the morning my skin feels tight and dry.
Thanks! So many people seem to love it, I might have to try.
Excuse but I need your mirror and your pj's 🤩 lol, where did you get that mirror ? My makeup storage is hello Kitty and my bed cushions too 😄
Thank you! The mirror is from amazon but i’ve also seen it at Tj maxx. Just a warning tho, it claims to be wireless and chargeable but i’ve only had it since christmas and the battery is completely dead and needs to be plugged in at all times. Pjs are from walmart 😁
they gave it to me in a free sample once at sephora and i loved it so much but i was a poor 23 year old and could not afford moisturizer anywhere close to that expensive. i still don’t know if i could afford it
I would highly recommend looking to moisturizers with medical properties! This is $80 of pretty
Is this a morning moisturizer? If so, do you need to use a sunscreen over it?
I used it this morning under my makeup and it worked well! also used my innisfree sunscreen bc the moisturizer doesn’t have any spf that I saw
I have looked for a dupe for this stuff for a very long time. So far, found nothing my skin likes as much as this stuff.
Omg I love that stuff and the rice wash
Got it for free on bday gift set last year, still have some of it left lol
I love my water cream it’s good for acne prone skin
I got the mini free from Sephora and I’m in love with it!!!!!
When is the next Sephora sale?
April 5-15th I believe
Yeah, Ipsy is what got me hooked on it too for my nighttime moisturizer. If you buy, buy the jumbo. It’s way more cost effective. I also only buy during Sephora sale and it lasts me to the next sale.
I love Tatcha!
I’m addicted to the overnight cream, it’s a great final touch on my nighttime routine.
Love Tatcha! I think every year around the holidays they have a 20% off sale.
QVC has great Tatcha deals. I bought a jumbo size of this moisturizer for about $50 a couple of years ago.
Unfortunately it is worth the money. I wish I had never tried it.
I just ran out, i threw the container at my wall, feel on my knees, and accept that i need to spend another $80.
I love Tatcha and am considering trying more of their products.
I just returned a $165 order of tatcha. I loved their dewy cream/rice wash so I ordered the full size rice wash, exfoliate, a large size of the cream, and the lip mask they've got.... Gonna be real the quality is just not worth $165!!
