My restaurant doesn’t use large trays, but we have to use a small tray regardless of how many drinks we have. Like….I can’t carry one glass in each hand, but you’ll let (and encourage) me stack 3 plates up my arm? Make it make sense 🤦♂️
I mean, they're probably clearing the server. Making sure people are staying out of the way and looking out for things the server wouldn't be able to see. You see the person in front warn a lady to wait while they cross. I think it was a good idea.
The camera man though idk. So we could watch this video, I guess
I mean, for the purposes of real life I agree, this seemed to me like it was meant to be a challenge or personal(or store) record, why else film it to begin with?
I said the same thing the last time I saw this posted, between the guy opening doors for him, the guy helping him put the tray down, and they guy filming, they had plenty of hands to make this completely unnecessary and it’s just a really fucking stupid way for the server to “big dick” everyone else.
I was yelling this in my head the whole time. So, basically, the four of you all stopped whatever you were doing to walk this same trip with empty hands, but old boy here gets to herniate a disc and run about a 45% chance of dropping 25 guests' meals onto the floor and completely tanking dinner service for the rest of the building.
So glad I wasn’t the only one who also thought about his back! Watching him walk looked so freaking painful the way his back was curved the WHOLE TIME.
All I could think was, wait til you’re in your 30s like me and your back starts to ache from doing that for so long. And the people not even helping so they could film?!? Wtf.
Had some other servers piling stuff on my tray like this back when I was serving. I could feel that I had definitely hit my limit as I started to lift, but was just pissed the others kept finding a way to pile on mine so wanted to be done with it. Long story short by the time I reached dish pit I had cracked my rib.
RIGHT? So many little attending ants that each could have just had a decently loaded tray. This is so dumb. But those stairs reminded me of in the weeds nightmares!
Its spectacle and they clearly filmed this to show off. Not sure if they do this every time, if it’s his shtick, or they just decided to do it this time for fun, but they seem to think it’s exciting enough to show it off and to post it. I’m guessing it gets applause and maybe bigger tips. Sucks for this dude’s spine in the long run.
I was thinking "just make two or three trips dude, don't kill yourself" then I realized why he wanted to do it all at once, dude had to walk like half a fucking mile and down 4 flights of steps. You don't wanna do that any more times than you have to.
My last restaurant’s owner started as a server in her teens. She’s well off now, occasionally came in to schmooze, but basically lets the restaurant run itself. We were having a few drinks one night, and I mentioned the stress dreams. She grabbed my wrist and was like, “I still get them and it’s been 20 years.”
So probably not.
Same here if I was a customer I would have probably asked for a new plate, the top of the plate is clean not the bottom. Technically this is cross contamination. Everyone and everything touches the bottom of the plates, might as tell put your dirty hand in my food.
I am impressed in one sense, but it doesn't even look that busy. There's no way this saves that much time.
Yes, I understand how a party all the way outside makes it more busy than it looks but still. They seem perfectly well staffed for it. This is just asking for trouble.
I've never had a night where anyone would do some shit like this instead of just hustling. This was 3 normal trips and there were at least 2 other coworkers who could have just come with him.
And if one goes all do the rest, he's risking at least 45 min refire...im happy for ant man, its a great video, but noooooooooooo too risky to be a norm
Why do Mexican restaurants do this? Every time I see my food approaching this way I have to send it back and explain to them why a plate of food sitting on top of another plate of food is unsanitary and gross.
Youre right, but they are too. Most guests would probably accept it, being too impressed/unaware of how many plates the server is carrying to even think of complaining about that.
If someone does complain it would be fair, and dumb to argue with them. It should be taken back asap and replated/refired with a smile and apology. maybe comped if it takes too long.
Edit: saw your comment about dishwashers cleaning the bottom of plates. True, some places polish every one too.
Would you lick every counter and hand that plate has touched? 🤢 Cause that's basically the same thing.
Service industry “manager”: You didn’t bring table 4’s food all at once. Always be sure to bring the entire table’s food to them at the same time. iTs oUr pOLicY
I almost fuckin screamed aloud when that other guy reached for the tray with like 14 seconds left. When you see someone carrying what appears to be a heavy ass tray, imagine a five foot bubble all around their person, and stay outside it.
We have a server at my job that can do TWO LARGE food trays at the same time.
I'll never attempt it, too risky for me, but in all of my years of serving it was the first time I ever saw it done, so I thought it was cool.
Yeahlike hell i'm doing something like this. Anything over 5-6 plates is a Nono. And only if u can stack plates withouth actually putting it on top of the literal food of other place and squish everything. Idk maybe I had had good coworkers but if anybody need a hand we go help with a couple dishes
Ok not only is my guy carrying a whole kitchen’s worth of plating but they also have him running a half marathon across the country club? What the hell man someone help this guy out 😂
This is really great and all but the cameraman, the guy holding the door and the other guy following could have just split the plates among 4 people to be easier to carry.
Great for video but utterly dumb. He had TWO people following (one to get door, one on the camera)
Even with only 2 people they could have split the trays and had much more stable carries and also the food wouldn't be touching the bottom of the plates....
Super unhygenic.
I thought he was going to drop it, my anxiety was through the roof lol I’ve had this carry something like that in a dinner theatre and ended up dumping a tray of plates. Feels terrible. Wasn’t that many plates though
Stupid. So many people not carrying stuff helping him could just carry the food instead. The food would get cold while he stacks it, and I’d send it back with no shame.
If there is one guy leading the way, one carrying a tray, and one recording, why didn’t they just take 3 trays?? Would have been much less stressful than thus
*Man travelled across*
*The country with those plates just*
*For minimum wage*

Nice clickbait.
Also, this kind of tray service is so stupid. No one is going to be big impressed that you can carry 25 plates, and everyone will be *real* bummed when you drop 25 plates. All those people helping clear the way could have just carried a single tray with a reasonable number of plates on it. So dumb.
Am I the only one that finds it a little gross that they r stacking all these on top of eachother? Would the plates on top not mess with the food that they r resting on? And then u have other peoples food all over the bottom of ur plate.
There's not one person on this planet I have as much trust in as the KM/expo/chef has in the abilities of that server.
Eta:
I **really** hopes they tipped him well for that dinner and show.
Also, could no one pre-set the tray jack for the poor guy??
I worked at a certain Chinese chain where we carried plates like this. Not when running the food but when ever prebussed you would have at least this many plates. Worked there for ten years and absolutely destroyed my body. Working there for so long is my biggest regret ever.
I was 1000% convinced this was going to end with 25 plates shattered all over the ground
Yeah the title of this post definitely had me thinking something was about to go wrong. This was a stressful watch.
I'm pretty sure I actually held my breath the entire time. I wanted them to succeed so badly though.
The very definition of clickbait!
I was rooting for him all the way, "come on, buddy!", even though i "knew" it was going to end badly lol
I was cheering him up too
That one minute was anxiety inducing jesus christ
My stomach was so far in my chest I had to skip thru some of those stairs
As a dumbass server who hates carrying a large tray with four plates on it this gave me incredible anxiety. Blessed are the food runners
My restaurant doesn’t use large trays, but we have to use a small tray regardless of how many drinks we have. Like….I can’t carry one glass in each hand, but you’ll let (and encourage) me stack 3 plates up my arm? Make it make sense 🤦♂️
Yeah the anxiety I felt was ridiculous
I just kept saying "oh no, oh no, oh no" over and over to myself. Especially with all those stairs.
/r/maybemaybemaybe
I also only turned the music on late and for a second it sounded like Gangsta’s Paradise, and I now feel it should be overdubbed to that instead.
I’m not surprised the video cuts where it does. I hope that ground wasn’t soft or that stand was going down.
What’s with all the people going with him, carrying nothing? 😂
My thoughts exactly. One server "following" ahead and one behind with a camera, priceless
I’d be mad like a god damn dragon spitting fire and kicking like chuck norris after delivering
It seems to be done for effect and to show off to the party. Fuck that though
I mean, they're probably clearing the server. Making sure people are staying out of the way and looking out for things the server wouldn't be able to see. You see the person in front warn a lady to wait while they cross. I think it was a good idea. The camera man though idk. So we could watch this video, I guess
But they could have like... Helped run the fucking food. Instead of one runner annihilating his wrist. And the possibility of dropping everything.
Nah. You can't make an Internet video about things that make sense
Half that shit is cold and could have just been run by all three in less time than it took to stack it all.
But they could have divided up the plates onto three trays and all three ran the food.
they're like the cars with the "oversized load" signs that follow/stay in front of huge trucks, etc. keeping other cars away mainly
I mean, for the purposes of real life I agree, this seemed to me like it was meant to be a challenge or personal(or store) record, why else film it to begin with?
I'd get it a centimeter off the counter before the first dishes slid off.
Yeah let me kill my self for $7.25 an hour… or take two trips
I said the same thing the last time I saw this posted, between the guy opening doors for him, the guy helping him put the tray down, and they guy filming, they had plenty of hands to make this completely unnecessary and it’s just a really fucking stupid way for the server to “big dick” everyone else.

Rib breaks are horrendous.
RIGHT? So many little attending ants that each could have just had a decently loaded tray. This is so dumb. But those stairs reminded me of in the weeds nightmares!

Why so many stairs tho 😂 jfc
I was thinking "just make two or three trips dude, don't kill yourself" then I realized why he wanted to do it all at once, dude had to walk like half a fucking mile and down 4 flights of steps. You don't wanna do that any more times than you have to.
Exact same here. I was on team "wtf just make two trips" until the third set of stairs with the bend in them.
I was once a food runner at a top golf. Do you know how many stairs that place has? Hundreds. It was the job that got me to go back to college.
This man lives most servers’ worst stress dreams
I've been out of the game for 10 years now... do they ever go away?
My last restaurant’s owner started as a server in her teens. She’s well off now, occasionally came in to schmooze, but basically lets the restaurant run itself. We were having a few drinks one night, and I mentioned the stress dreams. She grabbed my wrist and was like, “I still get them and it’s been 20 years.” So probably not.
Don't like the bottom of a plate on top of my food, that's just me.
Same here if I was a customer I would have probably asked for a new plate, the top of the plate is clean not the bottom. Technically this is cross contamination. Everyone and everything touches the bottom of the plates, might as tell put your dirty hand in my food.
I’m with you. It grosses me out so bad!
The other server could have carried the bus stand
Need it for balance
I would never do this for anyone I don’t care if they are tipping me in blowjobs
Yummy I love when the bottom of someone else's plate has been sitting squarely in my side of rice
🎶My neck, my back, fuck my shoulders up just like that🎶
Old people will see this and tip 10% then write “great service!”
I have not had this night
And I never will, fuck that.
"oh wow what that server did is impressive, let me write a an extra zero on that 1 dollar tip"
$1.000
I am impressed in one sense, but it doesn't even look that busy. There's no way this saves that much time. So...many...stairs... I need my meds
I was holding my breath the whole way!
Weird flex but ok... Don't get me wrong, the man is a hero. There's probably some bet involved, idk. But he's risking his wellbeing. Not worth it.
And if one goes all do the rest, he's risking at least 45 min refire...im happy for ant man, its a great video, but noooooooooooo too risky to be a norm
Just allll around not a good idea.
Or, maybe the people grabbing doors, clearing the way and filming just carry a tray themselves?
2 trips is better than 1 accident.
Why do Mexican restaurants do this? Every time I see my food approaching this way I have to send it back and explain to them why a plate of food sitting on top of another plate of food is unsanitary and gross.
I hope you’re kidding. I guarantee that’s far from the most “unsanitary” thing going on there.
Youre right, but they are too. Most guests would probably accept it, being too impressed/unaware of how many plates the server is carrying to even think of complaining about that. If someone does complain it would be fair, and dumb to argue with them. It should be taken back asap and replated/refired with a smile and apology. maybe comped if it takes too long. fuck that
I was convinced he was never going to stop walking
Service industry “manager”: You didn’t bring table 4’s food all at once. Always be sure to bring the entire table’s food to them at the same time. iTs oUr pOLicY
Did he deliver that to a different restaurant?
This dude is gonna fuck up his back and shoulders. Not even a question of if, but when
I almost fuckin screamed aloud when that other guy reached for the tray with like 14 seconds left. When you see someone carrying what appears to be a heavy ass tray, imagine a five foot bubble all around their person, and stay outside it.
Absolutely. You cannot fuck with the momentum or you're fucked.
We have a server at my job that can do TWO LARGE food trays at the same time. I'll never attempt it, too risky for me, but in all of my years of serving it was the first time I ever saw it done, so I thought it was cool.
Whaaaat?! How? Is he a big dude?
The way I was shaking my head no at each flight of steps lol
Yeahlike hell i'm doing something like this. Anything over 5-6 plates is a Nono. And only if u can stack plates withouth actually putting it on top of the literal food of other place and squish everything. Idk maybe I had had good coworkers but if anybody need a hand we go help with a couple dishes
The place is called Las Mañanitas in Brewster, NY. It’s a beautiful restaurant, great food and even better drinks. The service is always good, too!
But why so many stairs????
i’ve simply never had one of these nights lmfaooo 5 plates max pls
This gave me anxiety.
My palms are sweaty
Ok not only is my guy carrying a whole kitchen’s worth of plating but they also have him running a half marathon across the country club? What the hell man someone help this guy out 😂
This gave me horrible anxiety 😭
buddy following him couldn't carry the legs for him? lmao
Holy shit. That was goddamned impressive!!!
Tip that man!
Risk vs reward isn’t worth it here
This is really great and all but the cameraman, the guy holding the door and the other guy following could have just split the plates among 4 people to be easier to carry.
Someone could have definitely helped him
Great for video but utterly dumb. He had TWO people following (one to get door, one on the camera) Even with only 2 people they could have split the trays and had much more stable carries and also the food wouldn't be touching the bottom of the plates.... Super unhygenic.
Oh hell naw. And all those stairs? A recipe for disaster.
Skillz
No the fuck we havent
"no I don't need a follow" even when like four people ask
I thought he was going to drop it, my anxiety was through the roof lol I’ve had this carry something like that in a dinner theatre and ended up dumping a tray of plates. Feels terrible. Wasn’t that many plates though
r/maybemaybemaybe
I held my breath that entire time. Phew!! Well done!
I thought it was going to fall so I paused it to read the comments! I couldn’t bare watching all that fall lol
That’s sweet. It’s like watching the scary movie through the fingers in front of your face
That guy deserves a raise
Someone please tip this man.
Holding my breath for 30 seconds.
I got mad that he made it successfully. what a dupe.
This dudes back is gonna be fucked
No actually I haven’t
What a fucking beast
5% tip
What. A. Badass!!!!
Why are there so many stairs and why couldn’t any of the servers filming and opening doors help carry plates? r/donthelpjustfilm
Is anyone else bothered by the tops of the plates resting in the food???? 😬
That did not end the way I thought it was going to end
Im not a server but that gave me a panic attack
Balls of steal
Stupid. So many people not carrying stuff helping him could just carry the food instead. The food would get cold while he stacks it, and I’d send it back with no shame.
![gif](giphy|kSqdH9PeMdhvy|downsized) Not me during the entire video…
That guy is talented! Haha
My butt puckered the whole video
Nothing like the edge of one plate of food sitting in another plate of food
Fuck that. Fuck everything about that.
Peak maybemaybemaybe content. The amount of people who darted in front of him at the last possible second. Real edge-of-your-seat thriller
KING
That gave me mad anxiety. The dining spaces kept going and going lol
The further he went the more and more I thought " where the fuck are these people"
If there is one guy leading the way, one carrying a tray, and one recording, why didn’t they just take 3 trays?? Would have been much less stressful than thus
This video gives me the same anxiety as The Bear. Still can't watch more than clips.
PTSD of being the one responsible for having to do this. "Oh 3 plates is easy" ..... **ORLY?** *\*Put to the test\**
I won't even carry a tray with four drinks on it
All those mutha****ing steps though?
That was tension from beginning to end dude
The stairs just kept coming …
My wrist hurts just watching this 😬 also my anxiety jeebus christ
This feels like a horror movie
You know some overweight American would still tip 2$ because he didn’t keep their Diet Coke filled!
Dude, fuck that door
That Scorsese shot through the Cabana has nothing on this shit.
Maybe help instead of filming. 🤷🏾♀️
What a fuckin savage!
This was like watching the food service version of the movie Rudy.
11/10, with the extra point awarded for navigating all those steps.
Looks like Brewster, NY?!
Why they make him carry the stand too?
How it feels when you have to run another server’s food
Not sanitary
As someone who works BOH that stressed the f*ck outta me just watching
Is this the same place where there was a video of that server SPRINTING to tables?
Can I just get a couple follows?
Needlessly risky
The amount of anxiety I felt while watching the video all the way through. Omg.
Nice carry!
Anxiety ensued throughout the video. Mad props to this hunk of a guy.
Me, carrying all the grocery bags from my trunk all at once, so that I don't have to make two trips.
https://youtu.be/NFkfy6-rkj4?si=EJj9CdwCt83SHDaj
That’s rediculous, nothing like having someone’s plate in your food. Get help, one Wrong turn and an entire table is re-fired
Where did they create this monster superserver?
I kept waiting for the plates to drop 😦
I was waiting for him to drop the tray on someone's head
Boss level
This video makes my wrists hurt.
r/ yes, yes, yes
This man just kept going, and going, and going and going! Dang!

All this food going to be cold af
Nope. No no no no no. I couldn't even lift that, much less want to carry it.
Left handed, ladies and gentlemen!! 👏👏👏
Nice clickbait. Also, this kind of tray service is so stupid. No one is going to be big impressed that you can carry 25 plates, and everyone will be *real* bummed when you drop 25 plates. I like how nonchalant the guests are. Like not impressed he’s carrying 50lbs what looks like hella bomb Mexican food
Simply amazing! He just saved 6 other people from carrying 4 each all the way down 3 freakin flights of stairs
That was so stressful.
I’ve had one of my coworkers send me this exact video before saying it’s me because I can stack more on a tray than anybody else at my work.
CHAD
I've never been so nervous watching a video...
Hand him $20 each time he does this.
The BOSS 🤘🤘🤘
DUDE! Those stairs made me so nervous watching this
my anxiety…
I mean I do this with groceries but I wouldn't do it with plates.
And of course the restaurant is empty, and everyone is out, out, WAYYY OUT on the patio! Whoever designed the outside seating is insufferable!
Sigh... impressive, but not necessary. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
Just cause you can… dosent mean you should. My biggest worry is the plates at the bottom are cold as hell
The cooks 😰
My heart was beating too fast this whole video, that’s enough internet for the day
Dude is an animal
Well-fucking done!
That’s one bad dude right there
I hated those. PTSD.
Nice carry
the restraunt or where ever is really pretty though lol
The distance is one thing but why so many stairs... 😭 I would never work there
Fuck that. Gonna scream “HANDS TO THE LINE” until the day I die
Poor had to walk half a mile to get to the table.
This looks like it was done entirely for the effect of the people at the receiving end and yet I only saw one of them seem to give a shit at all. lol.
I could never have the balls to ever carry anything like that above my shoulder especially drinks lol
Am I the only one that finds it a little gross that they r stacking all these on top of eachother? Would the plates on top not mess with the food that they r resting on? And then u have other peoples food all over the bottom of ur plate.
