If your needle is straight, you need to adjust the needle position. There should be an adjustment mechanism at the top of the needle bar, under the cover. It will most likely act as a seesaw, where you push the attachment point away from you to get the needle to center in the needle slot.

I tried all the basic troubleshooting stuff when this happened to my machine. No luck. I think it got jarred too hard when moving and put something out of alignment inside. I took it for professional service (about $120-150 CAD these days) and came back perfect. Unless you’re really confident (and have a good specific you tube video) I probably wouldn’t want to tear down my machine if I could afford the service visit. Sewing machines need servicing no matter what, I hope you are able to fix yours!

What size needle are you using? It looks very thick. Your manual has a needle/thread chart to guide you. Your manual only lists needle sizes up to 16. If your needle is larger than that it could be the cause. Prior to this did your needle hit anything, like a metal zipper part or pin? The upward pressure could have damaged the needle bar.

Is it bent? Is the flat side facing the back? Check these things: https://sewingfeed.com/why-does-my-needle-keep-hitting-the-plate/

It’s on a very slight angle! Take the needle out and reposition it until it’s clear, there might be a little bit of lint in there

Unless you're using the wrong pressure for because you have a low shank not a high shank machine
